Hi
Currently have unlocked bootloader and trying to install TWRP fastboot appears to work until it gets to the write part and then I get "failed: unauthorised". What am I doing wrong? I'm on MM H90120L.

Certain fastboot commands have been blocked/removed by LG on this software. So 'fastboot flash recovery.img' will not work.
The only thing you can do to get root is flash a rooted 90120L Firmware. Then from there you can get TWRP installed..

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have since managed to root my H901 and install TWRP using the DirtyCow exploit.

I recently replaced my phone and got 1.5 hboot. I tried pushing recovery through adb but couldn't get it to work. Then i tried using the zip method, but got a message saying "main is older". Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

First, are you unlocked, if so, have you tried flash image GUI? From my own experience, only a few recovery versions work with hboot 1.5 s-on. I'm using cwm 4.0.1.4, I think twrp 2.0 works also.

Hmm, wish I could help more but I haven't seen that problem. Maybe try a different recovery?
Have you tried entering recovery via fastboot? I haven't had success on my 1.5 phone without using the fastboot method (with a compatible CWM).
I got it to work using flash image GUI. The zip for the ROM wasn't working bc it was a bad download. Thanks for the help and suggestions!

Hi Experts,
I unlocked the bootloader and then tried to flash custom recovery through fastboot (Using Minimal Adb and fastboot). When i try to boot into recovery i get "No Command" error with a android and triangle sign. So far i've tried flashing TWRP and CWM recovery and not able to boot in anyone though. I am able to boot into fastboot mode and normal reboot. In fastboot mode, its displaying my status as unlocked. I tried flashing TWRP 2.7.1.0 and some other versions and still not able to get through. I request you to please help me out to flash custom recovery. Thanks in advance.
Hi, try flash this twrp-2.8.5.0-condor recovery: https://mega.co.nz/#!kJ1XzT5Y!1RSrnUJoRcCO1OGAg8Rei3iVdfpjBrJwkqpOJ-1KJPE
After flash try fastboot reboot recovery

"No command" is not error. It is screen which displays if you have stock recovery
What I'm trying to say is the custom recovery that you tried to flash was unsuccessful and you still have stock recovery.
And for questions use Q&A section not here(general section)

here i have the same problem like you back then
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59617413&postcount=39
use this link https://mega.co.nz/#!AMByHZ7C!-MNDkV82n0Ph7EAjMLYyMXjKkosjJP7mRjwQV_m5ZSo (recovery from dev host showing no command and sometimes goes straight to battery charging animation)
and don't rename the recovery file, keep it original name when flashing recovery
fastboot flash recovery twrp2.8.5.0-recovery.img

Strange, I test back stock recovery into my xt1021 and flash twrp 2.8.5.0 with i post in https://mega.co.nz/#!kJ1XzT5Y!1RSrnUJoRcCO1OGAg8Rei3iVdfpjBrJwkqpOJ-1KJPE again and work fine.
I put twrp 2.8.1.0 ( https://mega.co.nz/#!MU9TSKjA!DqPyTG_RADAh4H7CrOcK2IlW8zAwmxoVNG87B3VE3E8 ) too, test the two files.
OK, here I am again
I don't what I did wrong following the rooting steps, but I am now stuck in recovery.
If I press the vol up button it does not go into download mode, but into fastboot.
I tried to fastboot flash boot.img but get the error FAILED (remote: unknown command)
I flashed the system images v10_stock.zip but did not change anything
Hard reset also ends in recovery
Any ideias?
Which recovery are you stuck in? Twrp or the stock lg recovery?

Can I create a file in the form update.zip only with BOOT and official RECOVERY
I have a brick without the ability to unlock the loader and install something
I have on my screen when it says boot image verify failed
Loader does not unlock, the firmware does not help the usual ones, they simply do not install

If it says boot image verify failed then you are in bootloader mode?
Does it always boot into bootloader mode by itself?

Flash TWRP using ADB, then flash custom ROM using twrp and then flash supersu.
