Galaxy Note 3 wrong battery percentage - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi i have a samsung galaxy note 3 running Ressurrection Remix 5.6.0 and before this.. the stock T. wiz firmware..
and both the roms are good... but i got an issue in both of the roms.. which was the battery percentage is incorrect...
it directly dies on 25-30% battery left...
but for me the 70% of the battery is already enough for me to use on a daily basis
even after buying a new battery it still does the same thing... dies on any between those percentages...
and i was thinking.. is there any way for the android phone to edit from 30%->100% of the battery to 0%-100%..
what i mean is... like to trick the phone to show me that it is draining to 0% instead of draining to 30% and directly dies... any apps that can do this job?? or any zip file that I can flash to patch this...
thanks for replying :')

Urgent help... Is this battery defective?

My Galaxy S2 is NTTdocomo from Japan, everything is working fine, apart from an extra battery that I bought recently. It is an original international Galaxy S2 battery, the problem is that it is draining very fast from 80% and downward, even while the phone is deepsleeping, but from 100%-80% the draining is quite normal compare to the original came with the phone. When I check the battery usage, the Android OS takes up to 45% of total battery usage, and the battery would drain from 100%-0% i around 6 hours with approximately 2 hours of screen on. While everything is normal with the original battery came with the phone, I cant understand why I have prob with the extra battery... Anyone knows why and how can I fix this prob? Thanks a lot in advance^^
Its the battery

RE
What android version got u?
The os draining battery was a bug update to the latest firmware.
Its the battery if one battery behaves normally .

Using Galnet MIUI 2.11.26 since its released. Original battery is fine, extra battery acts weird. Anyway to fix the battery?

Calibrate by charging to 100% Remove charger wait then replace and continue charge . at 100% remove battery and wait three hours .
Replace and wipe battery stats through recovery .
Thats all a user can do .

gaming massive battery drain!!

i have the elegant white rom,its awesome low ram consumption speed etc.
BUT first to change stock rom(original from manifacturer)i could play 2 hours and 1/2 sometimes 3 without trouble with battery at 30/35% left now i play 5 mins and my battery goes from 93% to 87% in 5 min
so 6%x12=72%battery lost in 1 hours its bad really bad! i also installed the battery fix but notthing!in idle without playing i lost 2/3% per hours so this is good.
someone have my same trouble? it is normal?if so i should install back stock rom?
if i get stock rom again the battery should be fine?
the elegant rom is on stock 2.3.7 i had 2.3.3 when i bought this phone
sorry for bad english i have not much time
thx everyone
(already done calibration)
to full charge it takes 1 hours max is it normal?

You need to calibrate your battery (and/or delete your battery stats)

Roms based on CM7.2 do drain battery massively compared to stock so going back to stock would help.
Battery callibration does not help - see Here
Same problem here... Living with it cuz stock has just become old and lazy
But if you really want battery switch to stock its way better than cm

Battery Calibration has nothing to do with battery life on any ROM.

There isn't a noticeable difference in both versions in terms of battery life. However, 5.7 has better performance and is noticeable.
You can try underclocking to something like 730 MHZ and save a decent amount of battery life without losing performance. Check this OC kernel out:
OC zImage
Also, use Cyanogenmod, ADW launcher without customizations is faster than the stock touch-wiz UI launcher.

For all those who r shouting that battery calibration doesnt improve battery.. Did the XDA said it improves battery life?? Do u ppl know wats the meaning of calibration?? Calibrating means adjusting something to the accurate value.. Not improving the value!! Even we never said it ll improve battery life.. Battery calibration just calibrates the reading to more accuarte one. So let the ppl calibrate it. Else leave. It ll automatically gets adjusted after 1 or 2 week.. U can see urself the change..

Yes, many members on XDA said that callibration improves battery life. The battery indicator on your status bar does not use batterystatus.bin. It does not automatically adjust after 1 week or 2. It re-calibrates every time you charge!

well i dont know about you all
but on my phone battery percantage isnt that accurate
cause when i unplug phone from charger and just open game or do something battery percantage goes to like 90%
but when my battery percantage is low like 18% it holds 30mins on 18%
I've tested many roms here and stock rod do tend to have better battery life, but... When i tested the RAZRv3 by TeamCooper, it had extremly good battery life.
When i got my Ace it had froyo, that lasted about 2.5-3 days. I upgraded to gingerbread official, battery lasted about 1.5-2 days on. Then i tried several custom stock roms and they all lasted about 1-2 days.
After that i started testing CM7 (both 7.1 and 7.2) roms and most of them lasted 12-18 hours (i used the wifi disables 3g function and some other tweaks to last the battery longer otherwise those roms would not have been usable)
Then i got to the RAZRv3 i used it for 2 weeks and the battery was amazing, it lasted easily for 3 days with no other tweaks than "wifi disables 3g" and also the performance was good. No lag!
Then i tested the CM7.2byFAT and the battery was awful but i really liked the rom so i keep 3g disabled when i dont use internet (all background apps use 2g internet) and now the battery last for 2 days.
As i've tested.... 3g takes really alot of battery in CM7 roms but in RAZRv3 (cm7.1 based) it worked like a charm.
So.. Everyone who wants really good battery life should test RAZRv3 that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1478807

Galaxy s2 battery consumption too high

hi guys,
i would like to get some help,
i have a galaxy s2 device with a battery of 2450 mah
the device battery consumption is very high (in my opinion)
and i dont know why
ive installed lately the jelly bean official CM nightly ROM
and the comsuming was a little less
when ive installed the 28/9 version it comsumed 15% all day when the device wasnt active at all (no calls, internet use and other stuff)
after it, ive upgrated it to newer ROMS of the nightly releases and the consumption went too high - around 70% battery consumption per day (with no major use of the device)
also ive installed a new moden version but the consumption havent changed
the brightness of the screen is around 30%
how i can make it consume 15% per day again?
thanks!
Hey. So first thing fo you to do is install BetterBatteryStats http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 after one cycle you should see whats is consuming your battery most and the other thing to do is disable Google Now. Ok you have something to do for now tell me how it goes mate.

[Q] Serious battery drain and weird behavoir (Neatrom)

Hello, xda.
[i9100, Team Win Recovery Project v2.7.0.0, any recommendations for different kernel? and what show i do in order to change kernel?]
using a great guide, I installed neatrom AOSP 4.4.2 in my galaxy s2,
everything is great and seem very stable, BUT:
the battery drains really fast. also sometimes when rebooting i loose about 40%.
once the battery wasnt charged and after rebooting (and loosing 40%)
the battery raised from 22% to 23%.
while charging in my car today and using waze, the batter dropped... (WHILE CHARGING..)
the battery is really old (1.5YR) but its not the problem, the phone looses a lot of battery while idle.
any help?
(I wanted to buy BBS but its simple for me to buy online right now during credit card issues..)
Thanks in advnace!
:good:
EDIT:
Please tell me there is a way to change my username xD
Aosp roms use battery like is nothing. Get BBS for battery stats and what's draining you're battery so quick. Sudden battery level drop means bad battery. Will need replacing soon. Ask a mod to change names. Most will help you with this.
You definately have the right idea. There is a free version of BBS here on xda. Just search BBS thread. And don't forget to enable root feature in settings...

all Kitkat roms have a battery drain ..
so if u want the best battery life u should go back to 4.1.2 .. like WizzedKat Rom or any stock rom..
and use Apollo Kernel
if u want to go back from kitkat to 4.1.2 u should flash PhilZ Recovery and full wipe )
I will soon upload my bbs logs, I made a test and the phone consumed much less battery when the sim card wasnt inside.
is there anyway to cancel all background apps or to reduce cellular data usage for apps?
perhaps use greenify to freeze apps......
or dont sync ur apps too often....

Galaxy Note 5 battery drain issue

Hey guys I'd like to know if you can help me fix my battery drain problems. All the battery stats are attached.
I have the N920W8 Canadian Note 5 on KhonLoi Grace V3 ROM. I'm using AOD and the standby time is about 8%/hr. Usually its around 4% which is ok but xan be better.
I have Greenify, Amplify, betterbatterystats, forcedoze installed on the rom. I have LTE GPS and BLUETOOTH on for my Gear S2.
I see that my phone is awaken even though the screen is off. If anyone could tell me how to fix the problem it would be great.
Im thinking on going back to stock and simply root it but I like AOD on the phone though and its not suppose to drain this much battery. Also accubattery says that my battery capacity is at 2100mah/3000mah is this accurate, should I get my battery replaced? Let me know guys thanks!!
