which version are you using? The latest one or 7.4.27?
I suggest 7.4.27
and apply this mod
go to build.prop and disable it there the line is
Code:
ro.mtk_perfservice_support=1
change it to value
Code:
ro.mtk_perfservice_support=0
then go to system/etc and clear the contents of perfservscntbl.txt
AND CLEAN FLASH ROMS. It made a huge improvement on my phone

I had overheating problems when I didnt clena flash too
the value changes how the CPU behave
It should be much less aggressive, or in other words, less CPU hungry. (which in turn makes less heat)

L Speed

I installed the app L speed here. Seems pretty decent. I installed the L_SPEED_V2.5_HYPER_OPTIMIZER_TEST6_arm.zip. It automatically enables init.d support for our device. Pretty sweet. Easy to use. Just flash it with FlashFire.
any non-placebo noticeable improvement my friend?
So far, all I've noticed is having more free RAM and increased touchscreen sensitivity. I like being able to set a cron to drop caches every hour. It's something I have set on all my linux machines and servers. Always wanted to do it on my phone, and this app lets you.
Does flashfire take 20 min again? Like with xposed, just installed this now but still on black screen

I think it just depends on your variant. Sprint seems to flash things the fastest h812 the slowest. Its normal tho.

Oh and having free RAM on Android isn't really a good thing. Not like Windows.

Differences between the BluSpark kernel and the Boeffla kernel?

It wouldn't be wise to differentiate between these 2 kernels. Both of the developers gave their best in their respective kernels. But there definitely are some differences. What are they? And which one will be giving a better battery life?

I am currently using AICP with BluSpark. Seems good, but I am not really satisfied with the battery life I used to have without the Xposed framework. Anyway, now it is running smooth but I can't use apps like Snapchat which requires your phone NOT to be rooted
Both kernels are very smooth and good . Blu spark is more oriented towards better battery life. Boeffla is more performance oriented while keeping it close to stock. If you are more to tweaking kernel setting, Boeffla will be good choice as it lets you customize almost everything. But you must know what you are doing.
There is no comparison between two, try both of them and see which one suits you better.
Blu.spark is for a smooth system and better battery.
Boeffla can overclock and supports profiles. Battery is also really good (I'm on 1h SOT and still have 87% left)
Thanks for everyone's input think I have an idea wich kernel I'm gonna go with.

Get the appropriate unistaller zip from here.
Flash it, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot, login to SC, once logged in, reboot back to recovery and flash xposed framework zip again, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot.
Everything should be fine.
Remember, if you log out from SC , you'll have to do all this again.

Wishful thinking for now but it may just happen one day if they are updating those.

One last question sorry, does the launcher on the EU rom have the search/recommended apps screen on the left hand side? I know I could just use nova or apex but I actually don't mind xiaomi's launcher as it's smooth and quick enough. I think it's disabled on the global rom, as it's for searching using some chinese search engine so just curious if it's enabled on the eu rom.

No this is the one I have, its on the left hand panel and cant be removed (from what I can see), although I think it's removed in the global rom and yours too. There are some settings but they're all in chinese.

Yeah I'm not sure I don't see anything like that & you have a cog down the bottom..So how did you get to that? is it the furthermost left swipe or from the app drawer somewhere?

Yep furthest swipe to the left (screen to the left of the default 'home' screen), probably Xiaomi's version of a Google now type search thing. The cog opens some settings options but they're all chinese, so not sure if there's an option to turn it off or not.
Not to worry, I'm keeping an eye on cosmic Dan's thread and will probably end up flashing the EU rom with his updated tweaks once they're available.

Yep It's missing on the EU version so they must have removed it, also the one from the pulldown doesn't work either it just closes the window.

You might have already seen this on the miui forum, but thought I would drop a link in case you're interested.
Its a flashable mod for MIUI 8 stable/dev roms and has been updated the other day to work with latest 8.1.3.0.
Its has tweaks for battery/system, the fix for slow play store speeds, amongst other stuff.

Actually I don't really know, but I think it was like the thermal system automatically makes the game experience limited. If you don't believe me, well, it works for me until now.
Trust me I tried everything from flashing more than 10 roms in a week, flashing everything I found until got bootlooped, and have to reflash everything again. Unlocking something that limiting the connection speed. None of these worked.

Thank you for publishing dotos .This is the Best ROM I have tried so far and I have tried all ROMs for ido.I have downloaded it from 4pda and using it since the day that came out and I have found no bugs and its the fastest ROM.
I hope someone maintain this ROM and update it to oreo
PS.The only problem I'm facing is when I call with Viber and speaker on the other person can't hear me clear but I guest it's a problem with all lineage ROMs.
I've quickly tested it today. It feels very fast and is also very stable. To the battery consumption I cannot say so much at the moment. But it has definitely no battery-drain.

Yes this rom support substratum which is why in op it's said full oms
The longer I use DOT-OS the more it fascinates me: It's very responsive, scrolling is absolutely smooth, it's quite energy-saving, apps are installed nearly as fast as with OREO-ROMs (but remember it's Nougat!), it neither crashes nor slows down ever. - From now on this ROM will become my daily-driver and it will replace my long-term favourite AOKP.
So :good::good: for the devs of this masterpiece of programming!
Excellent rom aesthetically very fascinating, but the core never go deep sleep. Is there a way to solve? A solution increases battery life. For a 10 and praise rom.
Thanks a lot developers!

Kernel-adiutor is implemented in DOT-OS. Maybe this can lower the power-consumption a little. But if deep-sleep is possible with it, I actually don't know.

As far as I experienced now, this ROM goes into deep-sleep mode. When it's switched off ("screen-off") it consumes only a few percents of battery-power during 8+ hours of being switched-off.
@vergaril: Maybe you have an app running in the background, which drains your battery. On my phone it was for example X-Widgets, which even consumed more power than the display! - And that was quite a lot! You can control the power-consumption of single apps in the Settings-menu, there in Battery.
