Installing a game with large OBB File - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just downloaded GTA LCS. The game OBB size is around 1.8gb after extraction. The internal memory is not being sufficient. So, how can I play this game? Is there a way of installing the APK in Internal and have it load the OBB from SD Card?
I want to do this the safest way without exposed modules. I'm running CM11.

Well you can format your SD card as Internal memory to increase some storage space ,best bet is to have a class 10 one to ensure performance.

Bro you can use folder mount app from play store which is the best.
Just requires root nothing else.

SDTools and External SD

So I have a 64GB class 10 card in my phone and it works fine. My camera saves to it and it recognizes the card. Problem is when I run SDTools it has an error reading the buffer. Also, any file management apps automatically go to the internal storage. I have to use a root file explorer to get to my sd card.

I'm not sure if you're aware but I noticed that the internal memory is under /sdcard and my sd card is under /extsdcard. I use astro as my file explorer.

I get the same error on SD Tools with a 32 gb class 10. Not too sure about the external card at this point.

I found it...extSdCard as the poster above said, but it under /mnt/ I use ROM Toolbox or ES File Explorer.
I saw that, just wondering how to get SD Tools to work. Guess it's a no-go
The "my files" app seems to work pretty good when needing to navigate your files and folders on both the Internal and External memory.

[Q] SD Card for Storage?

I just got my Tablet S rooted (finally a root method for R5A!!!) using the AiO 6.4. So now I would like to know if its possible to use a SD card for storage? Where I could put apps and games on the card and not have to transfer them to one of the 2 storage locations on the device?

There is an app here on xda called directory binder which is perfect in everyway for this. Create a file on the ext sd preferably same name as original then bind the two files with directory binder theres even an option that while binding it will transfer the files as well. When it's done you can press the file on your internal sd but it's actually on your external it's like shortcuts for android. Ive got many HUGE games 1gb and up on my 64gb external sd.

Make sure your external sd is a high class mines above class 4 so it's actually faster than my internal sd and plays games without lag.

Can Game Apps be moved to SD Card?

I have an Asus MeMo Pad HD7 and I have alot of Game Apps from Google Play installed on the Tablet's Internal onboard storage and I'm starting to run out of storage space, I know you can't install Game Apps directly to an external SD Card but can the Games be moved to the SD Card from the Tablet's on board storage so I can free up storage space then later on move the Game Apps from the SD Card back to the Tablet's onboard storage? If so what is the process of doing that?
You need some tool like Link2SD (needs root).
i wonder how.. is it just like folder mounting?

[Q] Why does my phone not use its sdcard?

Ok, so the moto E classifies its internal memory as sdcard0 and an added sdcard as sdcard1 on root/storage.
My problem is the phone simply never uses my sdcard to store anything. I cannot place obb files on sdcard1/Android/obb for the games to work, and they work when I place em on sdcard0.
I'm running out of space on internal memory. Is there any way I can get the phone to make my phone to recognize the sdcard and prioritize it to install apps and such?
It's a non rooted xt1022. I am willing to root it if it fixes the problem.

Kitkat limits the use of External Sd Cards.
You can only move game apk to sd card also those natively suppprt this.
You may keep songs, videos, apk files etc in external card.
Game data needs to be in internal sd card only.
Yup, you can root and use folder mount, link2sd and other such apps to use external sd card to store app data in obb folder.

Also it is not the question of recognition.
That's how it meant to be.
Sd card is like external drive for storage only.
It can't be used as main memory without root as of now.
If Motorola adds full External Sd Card support in New firmware then thats a different thing.

Expanding (swapping?) internal storage with sd card

Hello everyone,
I have 16gb device, and I'm using Folder Mount to deal with the storage space issue. but I remember reading something about expanding the phone's internal storage using SD card, meaning that apps would be installed directly on the SD card. I also read that it is possible to swap the internal storage with the SD card so that the OS sees the card as internal memory and treat it as such. I tried to find up to date information on the subject but I'm not able to.
I'm wondering if this is still applicable on Android 4.4.2. And if it is, could you give me some pointers on what do I need to search for (current method or apps) as I'm a total newbie regarding Android.
Thanks in advance
Anyone??
You can do it using link2sd . you should first partition your ext sd card.

Okay so Link2sd still works.
May I ask, does Link2sd directly install NEW apps on the ext partition, or installs them on internal memory and then move them to the ext partition?
Also, is Link2sd method is the most efficient method to date?
Thanks
Link2sd does not directly install apps on sd card partition. You have to link the app file, library file etc manually by opening link2sd. However you can set it to automatically link your newly installed apps in the setting.Linking can move the app file ,library file etc to ext2,ext3,fat or whatever partition your sytem supports and significantly increases free internal memory.
There is another method without using link2sd .You can search the thread. As for efficiency link2sd method work fine on my device.
