Hello guys. My phone don't turn on when i press power button, VOL UP/DOWN buttons don't work also.
1. I flashed my vibrant with Unofficial TMO 2.2 Froyo ODIN *2E Recovery +SD Fixed Updated*11/09/10*. Don't know why after what i can't access download mode by 3 buttons. I had Android System Recovery <3e>.
2. After that i try go to download mode with battery out method, and it was fine. Next step was downgrade firmware to T959UVJE8-factory-final-MS_Guru.
3. After that i had "Android System Recovery <2e>" message
4. I tried to reinstall back Unofficial TMO 2.2 Froyo ODIN *2E Recovery +SD Fixed Updated*11/09/10* but something happend and Odin software Failed and i had "picture phone ! pc".
5. I tried both methods to go to download mode and after half an hour method with battery out and pushing vol up/down buttons accepted.
6. Then i tried to reinstall original firmware one more time. And it was fine. You can see screenshot in attachment.
7. But my phone after flashing turns off for rebooting and died.
When i trying to connect it with pc or charger nothing happens. Buttons don't work. Nothing on screen. Battery out not helped.
What to do??????
Did you try holding volume up and down and plug in usb cable method to get into download? I'm kind of wondering why you had those other files in there. The guides I saw just had the sit and the pda tar.

I think mbrock meant pit, not sit.
And yes, you only need the .pit and the .tar files.

have you tried eugene's froyo that doesn't brick then go back to stock?
when going back to stock you only use the pda and the pit. that seems to be you problem.

Unzip Download
&
Load s1_odin_20100512.pit into .pit at top of ODIN
&
Load Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo.tar.md5 into PDA of ODIN
P.S. Tommorow i'll try to modify USB cable with resistors. Hope this will help me.

Maybe this info will be helpfull. In this situation with dead Samsung Galaxy, Vibrant, Captivate only one ressurection. You need to open your mobile phone and reflash boot loader using RIFF Box JTAG which you can find only in service center. And you need to save your IMEI information which you must read from this address 0х80000 and this lenth 0хA80000. Thats all.
i tried that method you decscribed , now my phone is in MOde that say "power reset or unknown upload mode" any clue about how to get into download mode from this. odib detects my phone in this mode but i don't think it will load the software since it is not in download mode.
System: Dell XT2
OS: Windows 7 Pro 32-bit
Vibrant: Completely stock with no root
Installed latest vibrant drivers from here (x86)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11498043
Restarted the computer
Installed Odin from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821625
Download bootloaders from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117990
Put Vibrant in Download mode (Giant warning sign with an android)
Open up Odin3 1.7
Plugged in Vibrant (in download mode)
Odin3 detect Vibrant
Uncheck all the boxes
Check the box next to "PDA" button
Clicked on "PDA" button and selected the bootloader.tar.md5
Clicked on the "Start" button
Then I see a big fat Red FAIL!
Now I get the computer and phone icon on my Vibrant
Using the same method above, I tried loading the stock froyo bootloader, but it still fails.
Solutions?

Yeah, I have no problems getting in download mode. I'm just wondering why I can't seem to update the bootloaders? Might have to go with restore with JFD for now.

yea its alright i have problems with bootloaders when i odin to JFD so i think u should odin to JFD and use AIO vibrant toolbox located in android vibrant development root the phone and if u still cant get bootloaders odin a rom on your phone that flashes with odin
Starting to think my phone just doesn't work with odin....
Currently phone is still soft bricked. I put the phone back in Download Mode and start the restore process.
Using the following instructions to restore the stock JDF
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13132341#post13132341
Odin just hangs on the "DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!"
You should download Samsung Kies mini which will give you the correct drivers. That way, it will not fail. After you do that, go into download mode, and flash the bootloaders from adyscorpius' thread.
I managed to restore my phone to JDF (took 3 tries)
Any, when ahead with one click root.
Try installing the bootloader and now I'm softbricked again
Work on Galaxy S 4g??
Hi I have a samsung galaxy s 4g and I know Im not supposed to post for the 4g in the vibrant section but I really need to find a bootloader that I can flash with odin, would this file mess up my phone?
I doubt it. And if it was me I wouldn't try.
Please please please could anyone help!
About a month ago I upgraded to Ice cream sandwich (LP7) and then rooted my S2. All worked fine for 3 or 4 days and then suddenly it crashed for no reason. I suspect, but am not sure, that it did an automatic update. On rebooting it just stops at the Samsung S2 screen with a yellow triangle.
For the last few weeks i have been trying to find a fix, but am at my wits end now.
I have gone through the different solutions on your site but to no avail also where mine seems to be different is that I can get into boot mode and odin always says its successful. I have tried different pc and usb cable too just in case that was an issue
I can not get into Volume up mode, but i can get into boot mode with volume down. I have tried re loading a few different rom's and Odin says that the transfer was successful each time, however it is still stuck at the same place on reboot.
Tried reloading kernel and re partitioning, and again Odin said it went OK, but still stuck on start screen.
Tried using a jig and turned phone on, but it the phone just went to the start screen again.
If i could just get into reset mode, i could clear the memory, but this is not working either.
If anyone could help i would be very so grateful.
Thanks
Terry

Try this I did and it worked to get mine booting after a bad update.
I messed around with it using several methods of getting it to boot into download mode until I finally got it to do it. I think I left it plugged into the USB, powered it down until I saw the charging screen, then I proceeded to play with the different ways to hold the buttons to get it to download mode. If you are persistent enough and read a little on booting methods to get bricked phone into download mode you will succed if not then your not for the world of trial and error... the main thing is do the first steps I said before until it works
1. Get into Download Mode (WITH THE PHONE PLUGGED IN) by following the steps below
*Turn off the phone until you get to the charging battery screen (keep in mind, your phone is currently PLUGGED IN)
*Press volume up and down, and power all at once.
*As soon as the screen turns black, release your power button.
2. Unplug phone from USB
or try
2. Remove everything from your phone (SD card, sim, battery).
3. Plug your phone into your computer WITHOUT the battery, as you have already taken it out in the last step.
4. Press and HOLD vol. up and vol. down.
5. As you are HOLDING these buttons, reattach your battery.
6. You should be in Download Mode.
7. Unplug phone from USB
any how try try try until it works
Once in download mode
Get your files together for your phone, and use Odin 1.85.
Plug into Odin and make sure it shows yellow and its added!
1. Now if your files have like 3 files and the exact .pit file for your phone if available.
I found mine here (Find yous stock firmware for your phone)
2. Click the PIT button and browse to your exact .pit file for your phone *It should now have added a check in the re-partition box under the options area of the Odin window. If not CHECK IT!
***If you don't have your .pit don't worry about this unless you suspect, or have a bad partition
3. If you have just 1 file just click the PDA button and load the file. If you have 3 then you will load the PDA file in PDA, the Modem file into PHONE, and the CSC file into CSC, there are way too many phones to link all the files so get you stuff together!
4. Now hit start.
5. When done and the phone shows the first sign of starting up IE Logo or whatever... immediately unplug the battery from the phone to shut it down.
6. Now put it back in and start it in Upload mode by pressing Vol Up, Home at the same time then the Power button.
7. As soon as the phone shows the first sign of starting up IE Logo or whatever let go of all buttons and using the Vol Up down Choose the Clear Cache option and go through and make sure you factory reset it if you can just for good measure.
8. Reboot
9. Now when the phone shows the first sign of starting up IE Logo or whatever take out battery again to power off
10. Now put it back in and start it in Download mode by pressing Vol Down, Home at the same time then the Power button.
11. Once in download mode Hook up to Odin again and flash it with a root kernel for your phone. Do not ask me just find it. I did it took time but I got all the files together over several days of reading and collecting the correct ones.
12. When done and the phone shows the first sign of starting up IE Logo or whatever... immediately unplug the battery from the phone to shut it down.
13. Now put it back in and start it in Upload mode by pressing Vol Up, Home at the same time then the Power button.
14. In most roots you will now have a advanced or mounting options and more options to use.
15. I cleared the Cache again, Cleared the Davilik Cache, Went into a option and actually mounted the cache formatted the Cache.
16. Use the option now to restart the phone...
And mine started up installed the apps and I am up and running, nice and smooth and no issues so far
I hope this helps out someone whos just about to go off the deep end, as I was there and patience and trial and error came up with this step by step way to recover mine. Thank me by hitting the little thumbs up THANKS button below this post.
And if your so happy your phone is up show your appreciation by buying me a Pepsi

Hey guys, I really need help with my situation. I've been looking all over the forums for 2days straight trying to find solutions to my problem. I have a galaxy s2 i777 and I had the sho-stock3 rom. Then I decided that I wanted to back up my rom, so I used rom manager to do it. that's when the problem started. when the phone tried restarting it was stuck where it says "galaxy s2" with the yellow triangle. I put it into download mode and tried to flash siyah kernel..it worked..but when I tried to reboot my phones says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again. of course kies wont let the phone connect. and yes all the drives are installed for my phone. now i'm just stuck trying to flash stock firmwares for the phone and the stock rom but it always fails in odin. please help me!!!!!

Hello
My friend just gave me I777 with this problem cause he bought a new phone, he couldn't tell me exactly when he got that "connect to kies". I never flashed anything or installed any rom's, I just want to get it back to life. Any solutions for me?

Can you put the phone into download mode? I would assume the answer is yes if you still get the "connect to kies" message. Following are detailed instructions for getting into download mode.
Download Mode:
There are several ways to put the phone into download mode. You should try all of them that you can before you give up.
Recovery mode:
With the phone off (and not connected to the computer), and battery installed, hold all three buttons, vol- vol+ pwr continuously until the initial boot screen appears the second time.
Download mode:
1. With the phone off and connected to the computer via USB cable, and battery installed, hold all three buttons, vol- vol+ pwr.
2. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- and vol+ (but not pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
3. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- (but not vol+ or pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
4. Attempt each of the above three options with the battery removed from the phone. The computer will supply the power to the phone.
5. Use Android Debug Bridge (adb) which will only work if USB debugging has been already turned on in Developer Options, since you can't boot into the system to turn it on. With the battery installed and the phone connected to the pc via USB cable, use the command "adb reboot download".
6. Use a USB jig. With the battery installed insert the USB jig into the USB connector of the phone. Some have reported that this method works when no other method would work.
If the phone will go into download mode, you will need to use Odin desktop to flash the stock firmware. You should use the latest stock firmware. Go to the Download Repository and download Odin3 v1.85 from the link near the top of the page, and also download the latest stock firmware, "I777UCMD8 Stock Binaries (Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean)" from near the bottom of the page. It's the next to last item. Download both to your Windows pc, and then follow the detailed instructions below to flash it onto your phone.
How to use stand-alone Odin3 to flash firmware:
Follow and recheck each of the following steps. Do them in order listed, as some steps are dependent on previous steps. Instructions are for Odin3 v1.85. It should work with any version of Odin, but some details, like color of items, may be different.
1.) Open Odin on the Windows Desktop.
2.) Have the USB cable plugged into USB port on the computer, but *Not* plugged in to the phone.
3.) Shut the phone off.
4.) While holding down the vol+ & vol- keys, plug micro-usb plug into phone.
5.) In Odin, you should get the yellow box under where it says ID:COM with the text 0:[COMx], and in the Message area, <ID:0/00x> Added!! where x is some number, usually 1-8.
6.) In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other items are not checked.
7.) Click on the PDA button. Browse to the tar file you want to install and select it so its path appears in the text edit box next to the button.
8.) Make sure the check box next to the PDA button is checked.
9.) Click the Start button.
10.) You should see the green progress bar advancing.
11.) When complete, you will get a PASS (or FAIL if unsuccessful).
The phone should boot up normally. If it does not, enter recovery (see instructions in the download mode section) and perform a wipe data/factory reset.
Dear friends and experts,
I need your help to solve problem with my GT-S5830i. When power on the phone start up and SAMSUNG logo will come but it will not open the phone.... again the SAMSUNG logo comes and repeats the same. My phone is middle east version and I downloaded the firmware from official site which is S5830IJPLK1_S5830IOJPLI1_XSG. Flashed as per the instruction in the official site by using Odin3_v3.09. Connected and added successfully but after sometimes shows failed. Please see the attached screen shot. I hope some one can help me to unbrick this phone.
NB: I tried the same with Odin3_v3.07 and it was success. Still the phone continous to behave the same way.
PLease see the attached.

I had a similar issue(more than once) and in my case I split the myFirmware file into it's 3 individual parts using Cygwin and SplitFUS2 and flashed from that with Odin 1.85. You could do this with FW file S5830IJPLK1_S5830IOJPLI1_XSG. I also used the pit file(cooperve_0623.pit), but I'm not sure if it was required but point is, it worked.
I also got out of trouble with the use of a backup which although not solid did get me out of trouble. The backup would not restore so I loaded ClockWorkMod recovery and in advanced restore, restored the system folder from my backup, this worked and got me into the phone. However you may not have a backup.

Whenever I flash back my stock rom using odin on my Galaxy Ace, it gives me a bootloop just like yours. The simple solution for this is go to recovery mod and do a "Wipe data/ factory reset". That's it now reboot. It should work fine. Please try this. Hope I Helped
use Odin3 v1.84 for Samsung Galaxy Ace-i instead
Its working........great.........
If u want to flash then use "Odin3.v3.07.Cooperve" and also put "cooperve_0623.pit" in pit tab...........
why odin3 v3.07 can't detect my phone, my phone displays odin mode and at the bottom donloading do not turn off target, nothing happens..
