Anyone know of a way to downgrade my Verizon Ellipsis 8 Tablet from its current android version of 5.1.1 to its old version of 4.2.2?
Any help would be much appreciated.
did someone made it ?
I understand you, I also want to roll back, in the end I got stuck in bootloader mode ... (I wanted to install TWRP, in the end, as I understand it, I killed the tablet, _,) In order to roll back, you need to flash the tablet, but for this you first need to find the firmware with the desired your version

[Q] How can CWM be built in a kernel?
Well, the difference between and old version and a recent one is that the newer version has more features and maybe some bug corrections. Just like Windows 7 and 8, or iOS 6 and 7...
It's pretty hard to update your phone by yourself. You would need to learn about bootloader, firmware, rom, recovery...
And then, you should have a custom recovery. You should port Android 4.4 for your phone, and flash it through the recovery.
And maybe you would need to unlock the bootloader.
PS: What phone you have?
Sorry for my bad english.
Hello there,
I have this Asus ME302C that I have no idea what to do with. It has some kind of custom rom on it. However I have no way of getting the firmware version off of it to re-root it or make it like factory again. It's running on 4.3 but when I go to about and in the settings the build number does not say the firmware like it should. Just says something about local build. It does say 4.3 Jss15Q WW_epad_Local_build with a 20130415 at the end.
I'm kind of at a loss. Is there any way I can figure out what the firmware version actually is? Or is there an easy way to restore the thing? I tried KingoRoot and it failed, but did say it was infact rooted.

How do I downgrade to android 4.1? I had to make an insurance claim and it comes stock with 4.4. I want to be able to unlock my boot loader so I don't mind doing any long procedures to do so. Any help or advice will be much appreciated
Sorry, No there is nothing you can do. You can still get root however using GhettoRoot
Hi everyone. ...I am not sure I am posting this in the right section and if I am not I apologize. This may be a long shot but I had just acquired an RCA 7 Voyager II tablet Model # RCT6773W22 and it came with Lollipop 5.0 preinstalled on it and I cannot get it rooted at all. I tried pretty much every method I'm guessing because it's a fairly new update and no one came up with a workaround for it to root it. So my request is does anyone possibly have the factory image of KitKat 4.4 or earlier for this tablet and if not would anyone know a source where I can attain this image? Because I would like to roll it back to KitKat and root it because I know there are a few one-click programs that will root it with the older KitKat updates. And also another question I have is will I be able to use Odin to flash the image to the tablet or will I need to use another program or method? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I'm really wanting to roll back to Android 11. Two months ago I was able to roll back to Android 11 from 12 using Odin, but it seems the latest update or two has completely locked the bootloader from earlier versions..
As someone more than familiar and comfortable with getting root, unlocking bootloader, changing roms and using Odin on all my previous galaxy phones it seems the S21 is a black spot for that kind of talk. Is there any way to downgrade?
hello, for downgrading your phone's operating system version you need to know, what the binary version your phone has (now it is usually 5) and you have to search for a stock rom version with android 11 with the same binary. You can find it on sites like samfw and so one
