If you type *#*#1472365#*#* into the dialer, you're brought to a menu that says "united protocol debug tool"
From there, If you click "protocol settings", you'll find a "fastdownload settings" tab. Then an "operation mode." Mine was set at not allowed.
Anybody know what this is for? Google doesn't have anything on it, that I found. Curious as to what it does.

After 2,5hrs searching, still no solution found.
My setup is as in my signature, and in WinMo I can't find the PIN/PIN2 page for disabling the sim security.
I've searched in the registry for an option without succes,
also tried Advanced Configuration tool to unlock phone settings page/tab without succes...
Any ideas?
press send (phone) to bring up phone screen, press menu, options - pin code toggle to off.
alternatively
settings menu all settings personal phone GSM.UMTS tab, pin/pin2 get settings
Settings tab / Menu: All setings / Personal / Phone / GSM/UMTS Services
I cant, as I said the GSM/UMTS page doesnt show the PIN options...
try CMPin.exe in your Windows folder - it shows the "Disable PIN" screen on my device, maybe it'll work on yours too
Hi,
i just got a new Acer A211, inserted a SIM-Card.
I was prompted to enter the pin, SIM was unlocked, the Statusbar says "3G, 3 Bars", but i'm offline.
Under "wireless and networks (Drahtlos und Netzwerke)", "more settings (Weitere Einstellungen)", the submenu "mobile networks (Mobile Netzwerke)" is missing - on my galaxyS2 it's there.
Acer hotline advised me to Factory-Reset, no changes.
anyone?
btw - the names for the menues are just guesses - OS is german.

Hey guys,
I recently faced this problem on many Android devices, after a reset through recovery the device asks for Google ID verification!!!
I had a Lava Pixel V1(Android One) device.
I did a factory reset, and then it asked for the Verification.
After a lot of hit and trial, I found a way to Bypass it.
Steps:-
On the Wifi network add page,
I clikced on "Add Other Network",
Then, I clicked on the " Voice Input Button",
then I clicked on a small "Setting" button,
there I clicked add language(Note the device is not connected to internet),
there I selected a Language which is not installed, and after that,
A dialog appeared that "Cannot download the Package, add network",
this is the main part, here I entered the " System Settings", and Then I entered my Email ID and password and Successfully Bypassed the Google ID Verification.
But the point is, this method didn't, worked on most other devices, such as Samsung, Sony, Asus etc.
Therefore, I need to know a full proof method or methods for Other Devices, to help myself and others as well.
On internet there's no specific info about this.
Plz help with this, Post the Method to Bypass, Google ID Verification for any device, if you know.
So I completely wiped my Galaxy S8 G950U (Sprint) and as I'm setting it up I went into Accessibility then Voice Assistant Settings. If you scroll all the way to the bottom there is a "Developers options" button. Inside you have 3 different options with the first being "Log Output Level" and your options are:
1. NONE
2. ASSERT
3. ERROR
4. WARN
5. INFO
6. DEBUG
7. VERBOSE
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT EACH OF THESE ARE AND WHAT IS THE BEST OPTION? (IF ANY)
THANKS IN ADVANCE.
P.S. IF THIS ISNT WHERE YOU POST QUESTIONS I APOLOGIZE. I COULDNT FIND WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY ASK QUESTOINS ON THE Q&A'S. SOMEONE SHOULD LOOK INTO THAT TOO BTW

There's really no point in explaining each but if you don't read Logs from the device, this setting will do absolutely nothing for you.
Hello
Does it work in this model Engineer Mode MediaTek ?
Description of the example application - a shortcut:
Used for easy and fast access to the engineer menu (Engineering Mode) devices on the platform MTK (MediaTek).
Standard, built to cause the engineering menu, you need to dial *#*#3646633#*#* (for example only), which is not very convenient and practical - is a tiny application designed to eliminate this inconvenience
!! Application is only for devices running MTK (MediaTek). If you have a different platform, you will get a message that the device is not supported with the proposal to uninstall this applicaton.
!!! Attention 1.
If you can not get into the Engineer and see the following message:
"EM is an advanced debug mode. If you want to entry the EM, please entry the developer options at settings"
, then you need to activate the developer mode in the device.
Usually, for this you need to open the "Settings" - "About the phone" and find the item "Build number", now you need to tap it 7-8 times - a pop-up message "Congratulations, you are a developer".
After that, the settings should appear "For developers" - go in and click "enable".
