Hello dear XDA comunity,
I would like to have all calendar events from one account always copied (i.e. synced) to another.
More precisely: My calendar app (acalendar) displays all events from my google account plus all events from an other account created by the app "Calendar Sync for Facebook". That is totally fine. But I would like to also see those Facebook events in my google calendar on the desktop. So do you know a way to sync events from one calendar account to another? Maybe an app?
Best regards,
Willy

in Google Contacts, i have activated the "Contact's Birthdays and Events" calendar. while i can use this calendar for example in Thunderbird or even the old mobile, the calendar won't load in the SGS2's calendar app - it is not even listed as calendar at all.
some calendar widgets from the market do list the birthday calendar as "inactive", which probably means that it's currently not synced. other Google Calendars like "Week Numbers" work just fine, so it seems that the birthday calendar is not synced on purpose. from reading forum posts, it also seems possible to use this calendar in other android devices...
has anyone found a way to get the birthday calendar to work with the SGS2?
I have Google Calendar Sync to sync my outlook calendar with my work google calendar. I shared my work google calendar with my personal google calendar. This way I can setup my appointments in Outlook and see them on my android phone. This was working before!
The scheme is this: outlook calendar -> work google account -> personal google account -> android phone. Now I can see the events in my personal google account but this events does not sync with android phone. If I resave the event on web google calendar then it is synced with android phone. If I create event in my work google account it syncs again.
But If I use outlook to create event it does not sync. Very strange problem!
If someone have a solution I will be appreciated.
I now use CM7, before with Stock Legend Rom it was synced succesfully
Since Microsoft directs both Microsoft Office and Windows Live Calendar, a Windows Live ID could fluently unify both services and have them sync under the same banner.
With that said, Android's support of Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync also works for calendars. Connect that service to your phone and it should work great (and my experience, works better).

I'm also using Google Calendar Sync (0.9.4.1) and it works. I put a meeting in Outlook and in short time appears on the phone...also when creating the event from phone, it appears in Outlook.
Make sure you have the sync "2 ways" selected in Google Calendar Sync options.
Hello
I'm having trouble getting the Calendar on the SGS2 to sync with the Calendar on google?
Now I can create an appointment, and it appears on google and the phone, but if I create it on Google the phone won't update.
The sync checkbox is ticked, and every time I create a new event on the Calendar i'm greeted by
"Google calendar cannot sync with Samsung Kies. Use My Calendar to sync with Kies"
followed by
"Local calendar cannot sync with Google calendar. You need a Google account"
So I have sync running, emails are pushing, and as I said items created on the Phone push to Google, but I can't get Google to push back to the phone, can anyone explain to me what i'm doing wrong
Many Thanks,
Luke.
I have the same problem. Have had the problem for a while on multiple roms and kernels

O great, so its F'd then
Maybe i'll be getting the Galaxy Nexus then.
The Calendar app can work with many calendar sources. I have it syncing it with gmail, yahoo and also the phone's internal calendar (which is also the one KIES deals with).
When you go into Calendar -> Menu -> Settings -> Calendars. You will see all the accounts that independently sync with the Calendar app. So you can have an appointment via a work's account and another appointment via your gmail account. The gmail appointment will only sync with the gmail account and the work's appointment will only sync with the work's account.
What it appears to be is that you create an appointment in gmail (on the web) and it will happily appear on the web and also on your phone soon after. Any modifications to that appointment on the phone will appear on the web.
A new appointment created on the phone is saved as a local calendar event. Go to Calendar -> Menu -> Create. You will see half-way down an option called 'Calendar' select your gmail account from this option. As long as you save the new appointment the Calendar app will use that as the default calendar.

I have had the stock calendar working but I would highly recommend Business Calendar.
Way better in every way.
Running an LG G4 on Android 5.1. You can sync your Outlook.com Email, Contacts, and Calendars by create a new Account in Settings with Type 'Exchange' it will usually auto-detect and do all the setup for you just by entering your Outlook.com login info (your Microsoft account.)
I've found something very strange though. If you go into the stock Calendar app, it does not list any calendars other than the primary account calendar for your Outlook.com account. However, if you use any other calendar app including the "Google Calendar" app, aCalendar, Pure Calendar widget, you name it, you these apps DO list all your calendars that you have on Outlook.com, HOWEVER, it appears Android's Exchange sync does not download events from any other calendar other the primary calendar associated with the Outlook.com account.
This makes no sense as why list the calendars if you aren't going to show the events?
Of course Microsoft recommends downloading the Microsoft Outlook app which does show events from all the calendars BUT, that app only provides the ability to sync your Outlook.com contacts with the phone, making them accessible to any apps that need to read your contacts. It does not (like the old Outlook.com app did) sync email or calendar events so you can see them in any other apps.
So what I'm curious about is the issue with the Exchange Account Sync in Android not syncing events from additional Outlook.com calendars a bug in the Operating System, or an intentional limitation or unintential bug in Outlook.com's Exchange Server emulation?
Because I need to see events from all my calendars elsewhere in my system such as on calendar widgets (Pure Calendar Widget) my workaround it to use the Gsyncit plugin for Microsoft Outlook Office Desktop client which does bidirectional syncing between Outlook.com and Gmail so it allows you to maintain contacts and email in both Outlook.com and Gmail accounts and of course all the calendars sync properly when using Gmail (Google) as the calendar source. The big drawback of this though is that if your PC isn't on, any updates to your Outlook calendar will not get synced to your Gmail calendar/contacts. Of course the better solution would be to make Gmail/Google your primary place for managing your contacts and calendars however I share a lot of my calendars and I've found your average user finds the Outlook.com interface more user-friendly (and cleaner) than the Gmail interface and more importantly the Outlook.com account will sync more seamlessly with Windows which is what the majority of people use for their desktop operating system.
I'd love to find out if Microsoft (Outlook.com) or Google (Android) is responsible for the lack of full Outlook.com to Android Calendar sync support and if it's intentional or a bug?
A few days ago I bought a S7 (on 6.0.1), upgrading from my Xperia Z (on 5.1.1). As usual the first thing I set up was my outlook account with my calendars - I set up an Exchange account as well as through the outlook app (just like I have it on my Xperia). I use the outlook app for my emails and use Business Calendar 2 Pro as my primary calendar app/widget.
I have a few individual calendars on my outlook account. However on my S7, business calendar doesn't show the individual calendars, instead it has merged them all into 1 calendar. I made sure both phones are running the same version of both apps (outlook and business calendar). I also tried the native samsung planner app and other calendar apps but they all also merged the individual calendars into 1 calendar. Any ideas on how I can change it so that I can see my individual calendars on my S7?
I have screenshots, but can't post them atm, being a new user.
Thanks
