I WHOLE formatted my Cherry Mobile Fuze Q390 (MT6582) with SP Flash Tool. Then I flashed the official firmware of this device with SP Flash Tool. I don't have any backups because I am reverting to stock. Now the phone works fine but it does NOT detect the SIM card. Also, the IMEI is shown as "INVALID" for both SIM slots when I input *#06#. When I try to fix IMEI from MTK Droid Tools it shows (ERROR : pttycmd1 device NOT found!). Also, MTK Droid Tools shows (Baseband V -----). I am sure the problem is that when I formatted the phone it wiped the NVRAM region too. So the device has no baseband or radio files right not and also the data/nvram/md folder has nothing in it. Although, WiFI still works perfectly except the annoying NVRAM Warning that I kept on seeing when ever that I wanted to connect to a network. Now the official firmware of Cherry Mobile Fuze Q390 does not contain any nvram.bin file. It does contain the BPLGU file but I can't seem to modify IMEI with SN Write Station, Maui META 3G, IMEI&SN Writer V1.5.3 and etc. I tried using the MTK Engineering mode mode also and tried to write it using the AT+ code but it keeps on saying failed to send command. Probably the SN Write Station, Maui META 3G, IMEI&SN Writer V1.5.3 and etc. only modify the IMEI when the baseband or radio files are already present on the phone. So I think the only way out for me is to flash a nvram.bin using SP Flash Tool or Flash nvram.bin+nvram.tar to MTK Droid Tools which I don't have. Any ideas whether I am on the track or not? If I am, then how can I get the IMEI back on my phone. As you people can see that I have tried a lot of things, so please suggest/advice accordingly and any help would be greatly appreciated.

we have a same problem.
I fixed my phone (FUZE) ... .
just flash the phone in Firmware with "SEC_RO" file.
Fix IMEI, at least for MT6589 Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 (if *#06# show Invalid IMEI):
Call *#*#3646633#*#* Engineer mode, Connectivity, CDS Info, Radio Info,
Phone 1: AT+EGMR=1,7,"myIMEI" <send>
Phone 2: AT+EGMR=1,10,"myIMEI2" <send>
Hello @phaw16, @nandhu.crab19 : Can you resolve that problem?
I have the same here my phone is Blu Dash 5.5 D470u with mt6582 processor.
The meta mode is failed to connect. Drivers are ok.
Hi all.
I have run into a problem recently with my OPX: I can not use my sim card at all.
Maybe somebody can give me a hint on how to fix it.
Here are some useful information:
SIM works in a Nexus 5
*#06# shows the same IMEIs as on the OPX box
WIFI works
BT works
Reseted APN settings
Tried stock 2.x
Tried stock 3.1.3
Tried Sultan CM13
*#*#4636#*#* -> Telephone Information: Changing preferred network type does not have any affect - stays at "WCDMA prreferred"
Thanks
I was having the same problem then by mistake followed these codes without efs back-up.
Fastboot erase modemst1
Fastboot erase modemst2
So I advice not to follow these codes if anyone tells you to do so. I lost both imei numbers because of these codes.
You can recover your signals by using unbrick method by flashing rescue ROM with help of msm download software
Sent from my OnePlus X using XDA Labs
I have tried the msm way by following the instructions from gizmochina.com
Still have no signal and I am running out of ideas
Out of interest, what network are you on?
I had been using RR ROM. After flashing back to miui lost IMEI. It was recovered back by restoring with qpst. But now it shows the sim to be detected and there is no signal coming. I checked phone information *#*#4636#*#* and it shows that radio is off . When I try to turn it on it doesn't. Also the phone shows to be in airplane mode when I try to make a call.Even though when I checked the settings it is not in airplane mode. Could anyone help me out with this?

I tried that. But still no change. The radio is still off.
Extract non-hlos from official rom and flash it in fastboot mode using adb
is your imei turn back? try to restart modem using dfs ..
i own redmi note 3 3gb 32gb KATE device, having the same radio turn off issue
my fix is i flash modem from kenzo into my kate, you can try that vice versa.
Hello,
I have an Elephone P8 (2017). After flashing an ROM image to the device, the NVRAM was overwritten and the operating system reported no IMEI. To fix it, I used the SN writer tool to re-enter the IMEI numbers, MACs and serial and re-installed the latest stock ROM from Elephone.
The IMEI numbers are back again but for some reason, the mobile network connection is only available for a limited time after booting. 20-30 minutes later, no mobile network is available anymore until I either reboot the device or toggle the SIM to be used for the mobile data connection.
Has anybody an idea how to get a stable mobile network again?
Is there possible that anything else is wrong or missing in the NVRAM beside the IMEI numbers?
This sounds like you flashed the release-version 20170722, not the first update 20170831.
Recheck. If in doubt, format whole device with SP-Flash-Tool and reflash 20170831.
Hello,
I installed the 20170831 stock ROM but "about the phone" in the android settings lists a baseband version with an older data:
Base-Band-Version: MOLY.LR11.W1630.MD.MP.V9.3.P10,2017/06/26 09:07
Kernel-Version: 4.4.15 [email protected] #1 Thu Aug 31 11:28:07 CST 2017
Build-Number: Elephone_P8_V11_20170831
IMEI-Numbers: 3598500800XXXXX
IMEI-SV: 78
SERIAL: ELEE800....
Same problem

Hi GoaSkin,
I have the same issue than you. I also overwrote my NVRAM and restored my IMEI with SN writer tool.
(If anyone think he bricks his elephone p8 (2017), he should try to flash a test version (he worked for me, when all the other version didn't work) then reflash with a recent version. )
SMS and 4G Internet works fine but phone call (3G/2G) don't work :crying:. (sometimes when I reboot my phone, it works again but it is rare).
I have the same version of Base-Band than you.
I will try to flash other version, to test if it works for me.
I'll let you know.
I found advices in other forums that people have similar problems on other devices using "Moly Baseband". They managed to solve this issue by using a different version of the moly baseband file when using the IMEI tool.
When you use the IMEI tool, you need to submit the baseband file beside the IMEI numbers and MAC addresses you enter. The baseband file comes with any firmware image. I don't know which baseband version was installed before I bricked the NVRAM partition but it is possible that the pre-installed version was a different one to that which comes with the (newer) firmware updates.
Maybe it is worth to try to downgrade the baseband version which comes with an old firmware image or to try if it is possible to use a baseband image that comes with the firmware of a different device also using Moly baseband.
Furthermore I found out using analysing tools that the phone is still able to get some information of the GSM network. Possible the mobile operator closes the network link caused by bad network requests.
Update :
By flashing only the IMEI 2 I can make the LTE work on the engineer firmware but when I flash a custom ROM PE, EvoX, LineageOS (after a flash of the latest global firmware):
If I manually flash the modem firmware MOLY.LR13.R2.MP.V16.P21 the SIM is not reconized and IMEI 1 and 2 are unknown.
If I leave the modem done for the ROM the SIM is recognized but no LTE, phone call, etc
So... it's still not really solved, I found this solution on treads for the redmi note 9 https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nally-first-method-to-fix-1-slot-imei.4258977 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-in-merlin-redmi-note-9-redmi-10x-4g.4258779/
The PE Rom of the redmi note 9 is visibly compatible with the engineer modem and that's probably why it works with this phone but not the redmi note 11S.
Original Post :
Summary:
I can't get LTE or 3G to work, I tried with several SIM cards that work on other phones.
The problem happened after a formatting and then a complete Flash of the phone with SP Flash Tool to get out of a Hard-Brick.
Issue:
With the Miui ROM, the phone starts directly in recovery and displays nvdata corrupted (doing a "Wipe data" doesn't change anything).
I tried to flash the nvdata,nvcfg,nvram,proinfo,persiste,protect1,protect2 of another Redmi note 11s with mtkclient I manage to start but the SIM card is not recognized and the modem is in unknown version.
On the engineer rom by not flashing nvdata, nvram, etc the modem is in the right version but there is no IMEI and I have no access to the internet and can neither make nor receive calls and SMS.
On the engineer firmware with Modem meta I can flash the original IMEI and the calibration parameters of LTE, WCDMA and GSM retrieved by myself from a redmi note 11s on which the network works with the engineer firmware as with MIUI and after all that I can receive calls but not make any, I can have EDGE but not more and the settings continue to mark "no service" and "radio off", the IMEI and correctly displayed in the settings and when I accept a call the HD logo is displayed, the VOWIFI works and allows to make, receive calls and SMS, note that the serial number displayed in the settings does not seem to be the right one, Everything else works.
On a custom ROM it is identical to the engineer rom.
Context:
My phone ended up in a Hard-Brick following a problem in the unofficiall pixel experience custom recovery (impossible to access fastboot, recovery and system after an "adb reboot fastboot" but Brom mode is accessible).
I used mtkclient to disable the Brom mode protections, I then flashed the firmware V13.0.3.0.SKEEUXM with SP Flash Tool but by ignorance of the software I used the "format All + Download" mode (which has the effect of formatting all the partitions including nvdata, nvcfg, nvram, proinfo, persist, protect1, protect2).
Then I was able to boot but the phone enters directly in a bootloop with nvdata corrupted which is displayed in the recovery, I tried a data wipe but it does not change anything, I used mtkclient to reunlock the bootloader and make the tests that I described in the problem part.
The phone is under warranty but I had unlocked the bootloader, the problem being due to this unlocking, the phone will certainly be considered out of warranty and if they follow their policy in french they will not repair it and the shipping will be at my expense.
After unlocking the bootloader with mtkclient:
I flashed V13.0.7.0.SKEMIXM, flash the unofficial custom rom of Pixel experience 13 with its boot.img, reflash the nvram, nvdata, nvcfg, proinfo, protect1, protect2 from my phone when there was "corrupted nv data" and wipe data with custom recovery.
Pixel Experience works really well, The SIM card is recognized, it shows my operator, baseband version but there is no 4G, SMS and IMEI, IMEI SV is unknown.

There is no way to do it without hardware tool ?
and I don't really understand what you are talking about, can you give me more detail ?
@tutibreaker I updated the original post you could read, even after flashing the IMEI with modem meta there is still no 4G volte and SMS whether on the engineer firmware or the firmware V13.0.7.0. SKEMIXM with pixel experience, SIM and operator detection, baseband version, IMEI, phone number works as it should.
I don't know enough about meta modem to know which option/procedure would make 4G, volte and SMS work again.
nvram, nvdata, nvcfg... from my friends redmi note 11s still doesn't detect the sim card and meta modem can't connect with.
I really need some help please.
I updated the original post again (and again), If someone could help me it would be really nice.
To summarize now I managed to restore the LTE on engineer firmware but not on custom ROM (PE, EvoX, LineageOS)
I have the same problem you can flash gsi but use gsi is sucks
Did you manage to fix it?
