They are all quite similar as they are all based off xiaomis official rom, basically think of them as an unofficial official rom. Multirom (I think) is based off xiaomi EU's rom with some added tweaks mods by the devs(Russian).
Xiaomi EU use the official (chinese typically) rom as a Base and add some tweaks, remove bloat/Chinese apps and probably, most importantly add additional language support, as xiaomi doesn't sell/market their devices in Europe (just certain countries outside China eg india) and so this obviously makes devices much more usable for users across different countries.

Its the same as you would do for other roms. There is no restriction on wiping system. I have changed a couple of times and each time wiped everything except internal storage.

Sorry I don't have the SOT figures. I used multipro global 8.2.5.0 for a day or so and have now shifted to multirom cn stable. Generally speaking battery was good but the ROM was not as fluid as multirom. Its a complete rom available out of box since Xposed, advanced reboot, etc. Are all prebuilt into it.

xMiui is not prebuilt, don't think so. Advanced reboot option is enabled by default, something similar to AOSP roms.
CN stable - play services crash bugged the hell out of me.. I don't know how many times I wiped the play services cache and data. Other than that, it was ok, not much different from CN beta.
TBH, the best rom that I have come across in terms of usability is xiaomi eu, they have mixed and matched features from china and global rom. And I say this after using them across two devices. I guess I'll have to let go of xposed to get a working rom which is fluid and has all features as well. Damn, money wasted in buying those modules!: silly:
Multirom is all about ram management and speed. Rest everything is as good as the official roms.

Understandable, I'd honestly recommend slimkat. I'm generally more of a cm guy but slim has made some really nice innovations in terms of the look and feel. They completely redid the recent apps menu with the 3.4 weekly

I've been running Eclipse Progressive Build 7 for the past month. I have flashed just about every ROM out there and this is the most staple, fast, smooth with great battery life ROM of all of them. I understand everyone has there own opinion and preferences. It's really fast too, much better than the normal Samsung bloat. The only problem i have with it is that the notifications appear to be in the reverse order. Newer items appear on top.
Xiaomi launched MIUI 7 in China but they are not providing it to everyone due to it's Global Launch which is going to held on 19th August.

I think k they won't be giving lollilop to our devices
I once saw a moderator on miui.com being asked why there is still no lollipop for cancro, and he answered that they are afraid of bricking devices if they extend the partitions (because miui lollipop on cancro needs extended partition)

Ha! It'd be really interesting to know just how many cancro users switch between ROMs on system1 and system2 with any frequency.
My guess is that if you are interested in using different ROMs you definitely have enough curiosity to want to use Lollipop - in which case virtually everyone will need to scrap the system2 partition.
So due to a really bad design decision at the beginning, and to "support" their users... they need to keep the 2 system partitions, hence no Lollipop.
Just as well xda exists...
It seems the best option is to move from miui to another ROM, it's a shame, I really like miui

Hey guys,
So I was wondering if there was a better ROM than MIUI that I could flash on the Redmi note 3 .I'm currently using a unlocked rooted rn3 with MIUI 8.1.1.0 .I kinda like the ROM but I want a change . If there's a well optimized and lag free rom than the MIUI please suggest.

You can try RR Remix Rom or any AOSP based Rom for lag free performance and also as daily driver. Actually there are lots of ROM for our device you can try yourself and find out which satisfies your needs. Best of luck.

Okay.have you tried the resurrection remix ROM for yourself ? And if you the download link please direct me .Thanks a ton by the way
RR Remix Rom based on android 6 (MM) is good and stable for daily driver & we too have RR Remix Rom based on android 7.1 (Nougat) but it has some bugs. So you can give it a try. For me I'm getting good battery life on Nexus Rom so right now its my daily driver. But it depends upon one's preference if you want features and customization RR Remix is best but if you want Stock android with lag free performance and battery life AOSP based Roms are good. Do check out the links below.
RR Remix based on Android 7.1 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-resurrectionremix-5-8-0-t3507433
RR remix based on Android 6 (MM) : https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/official-t3399879
Best Of luck and do read and search about the Rom, flashing process etc before flashing to avoid error and trouble.
I just signed up here as recently bought a RN3. Looks like a good place to start, was thinking of trying a custom myself

was using MM RR 5.7.4 rom for a few months now but now i went back miui with xiaomi.eu rom. i missed a lot of useful features which arent there in RR. like the good gallery app, call recorder, recorder app, good camera app, scanner app and so on. if you dont care about those dann i can recommend 5.7.4 ... but i only got 6h SOT with tha rom. with MIUI without any problems i get 8-10h SOT

I am on latest rr 5.8.1. Torch toggle has been fixed. You can use google camera app or one plus camera app which run smooth, tho stock camera works fine for me.
I think I found a ROM for me the RR 5.8.0 cynogen based . Hey all,
I'm looking for a good Custom ROM for my Redmi Note 4 and have come across a few good ones but still I'm not sure if they're Officially supported and are Stable.
I've come across the following:
> Resurrection Remix
> Lineage OS
> Paranoid Android
So my question would be that are any of these ROMS reliable and worth flashing over the original MiUi8. Are there any other ROMS worth checking out? I would like a stable and officially supported ROM with regular updates and a stock android feel. I've been using Cyanogen Mod on my previous phones and then once that ended it's support I switched over to Lineage OS. Now the Redmi Note 4 is not really a supported device for Lineage and people have uploaded a few Unofficial Lineage OS ROMS so if any of you have flashed any particular ROM on your Redmi Note 4 I'll be happy to hear about and the experience it offered you. Feel free to post any information you have regarding this topic :good:
~RabbitWingz
May I suggest AospExtended? It's official and well maintained with regular updates. It has a stock feel and gives you some extras with it's extensions.

Bro I would like to tell you that the lack of official ROMS for our Redmi Note 4 is because Xiaomi has not yet released the kernel sources.
And if you're thinking of switching over from MIUI then yup it's totally worth it and LOS, and AEX are one of the best ROMS you can get right now, these two will get you pretty much everything you want for your device. Hit thanks if helped.

Hey all,
I'm looking for a good Custom ROM for my Redmi Note 4 and have come across a few good ones but still I'm not sure if they're Officially supported and are Stable.
I've come across the following:
> Resurrection Remix
> Lineage OS
> Paranoid Android

May I suggest AospExtended? It's official and well maintained with regular updates. It has a stock feel and gives you some extras with it's extensions.

But there's one thing I personally don't like about AEX , I'm a Google fan boy so I always flash opengapps stock but well AEX doesn't really let's me uninstall dead Google apps (Google now ?) and such so yeah that's one and pretty much the only thing about it but again it's a really cool experience using AEX.

So well just go for LOS that's what I'm using and a cherry on top is that it's having all the OMS commits so substratum is fully functional but remember it's not as frequently updates as AEX so if updates are your thing than again AEX is better.
If showing off the shear performance of this beast is your thing (and simplicity too) then go for LOS cause I found the highest performance in benchmark from LOS and yeah Darkness Redefined is also good cause I've used it and found it pretty polished.

Hey man,
Thanks for all the information! Would Xiaomi release the kernel sources later in the future or are there no sure plans of that happening? MiUi is pretty heavy and all the bloatware and crappy Ram Management is a disappointment. For those reasons I'm really eager to switch over to a custom ROM and if Lineage OS somehow supports it officially later in the future, It'll definitely be my first choice. Also if you could provide me with a little more Info on the AEX ROM and it's features then that'll be great. Or just simply link it :good:

Bro for AEX just visit the forums and yes the kernel sources will be released in the future but for now we just can wait. Once they're released our device will be like REDMI NOTE 3 our device's forums will be flowing with ROMS and kernel. And like I said once they're released all the ROMS will go official.

Thanks once again The only thing that bothers me from flashing LOS is that only an Unofficial Build is available here on XDA so I'm not really sure how trustworthy it is. But you've used it and have you come across any bugs or performance issues? Also could you link the download page and Instructions for LOS (Redmi Note 4 Edition obviously) It's called Mido or Nikel I think? Not really sure but some more information on LOS would be amazing :good:

Bro if it's unofficial then it doesn't mean that it's not trustworthy but simply that right now it won't get OTA updates and it won't get updated with all the other devices but when the developer will want to update it and like a said our device is a beast and LOS just flaunts it. It doesn't have pretty much any bugs or issues and my little tip just flash opengapps stock zip to get all the stock Google apps but remember to remove the useless once to get the ultimate experience.

Have you checked who's the maintainer of the unofficial Los for rn4? Right... It's the maintainer of the official RR of rn3 ? as said already in a answer for you unofficial does not mean some random guy maintains it... Why don't you read and check yourself who the Maintainer is?
Since I switched to xiaomi the XDA threads are full over and over with the same boring unnecessary questions. ?

Haha  Well thanks for bringing that to my attention. Once Xiaomi releases the kernel sources there will be a huge spike in official ROMS for Redmi Note 4 anyway so I think I'll still wait for an official LOS build later on or even Resurrection Remix which seems quite interesting to me due to it's mind-blowing customization capabilities.
