Boot Loop after water damage - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I was wondering if you had experience similar problems, this is giving me headaches for weeks now. I would very much appreciate any insights you can provide as I feel totally lost.
I spilled tea on my phone (Lenovo Vibe P1, no hacks), it worked just fine for a day, however did not charge and eventually got out of battery. I disassembled it, cleaned it and now when I plug it into a socket it enters boot loop (I see Lenovo logo for like 5 seconds and it restarts). I have replaced charging port circuit - no effect, perhaps a battery is fault?. If I try to turn it on while it's not charging nothing happens.
I am unable to access recovery mode, nothing happens and phone keeps restarting. What would you suspect the problem would be? Thank you very much.

Samsung Stratosphere won't turn on, stuck in boot loop, please help!

My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turns off and acts like it's charging and over and over again, even when the battery indicates that it's at more than half full.
Does anyone know what's happening? (no custom ROMs or anything, it's all standard btw). I took the battery out and everything and it still does the same thing when I put it back. I tried to do a factory reset, but the recovery mode screen always jumps away when I try to activate it (I press both Vol+ and Vol-, recovery mode screen comes up but goes instantly, then the phone goes into a boot loop again).
Please help, thank you!

Hi, I'd recommend sending the phone into warranty, add the phone isn't rooted, you can't do much.

Had same problem on 3 phones. This is a connection problem within the phone. Disassembly & cleaning contacts often helps for a while, but problem comes back. Bumping the phone on the side or top, often allows it to work properly, for a short while, and so does squeezing it, in certain places. Get a new one, since the problem will re-cur.

[Q] Anyone has an opinion about this?

Ok so I wanted to upgrade from Jellybean to KitKat today, with Bam-Rom.
I am preatty familiar with flashing roms. But I somehow got my phone to keep on rebooting. I wanted the battery to die, so I guesed I would leave it there drain and then replace the battery (I've got 3). After the phone "died" I replaced the battery and tried to open it. But nothing happens!!!
I've tried all of my 3 batteries, plugging in the cable, tried to boot into recovery and download mode. Nothing happens!
Is it possible that from the multyple reboots (about 15 min maybe) the CPU overheated and got burned?? Is there something I can do to check?
Any advice very much apreciated!!
Charge the battery for half an hour and try again
Done, nothing happens, pluging the cable dosent do anything. However I have an external charger so I know it is charging correctly. Also while I charge with cable nothing happens but the back of the phone get heated so I know the battery is charging that way too
I have opened the phone nothing seems to be burned or damaged what so ever
Replace motherboard. As to exactly what's dead on the board, unless you know how to work with electronics like that/how to diagnose problems (with gear like a multimeter), you're not going to be able to figure out exactly what died. And even if you could, it's irrelevant. You're still replacing the board if you want to fix it.

HELP Phone froze now it wont boot up

I have a stock iOcean x7 elite which is a good Chinese phone, its amazing besides this issue that has rendered it useless. I was rebooting my phone and then it started getting stuck on the boot sequence, I didn't think anything about it so I took the battery out a few times. It did the same thing and then it just wouldn't turn on at all. Black screen and everything.
When I plug it into the charger the light doesn't come on. When I plug it into the computer, I can hear it sync up and then unsyncs. Nothing shows up in the My Computer screen.
Is there anything I can do, or is it toast?
Thanks

[Q] YP-G70CW Charge Loop?

Hi All,
Apologies if this has been gone over. Tried searching but I can't seem to find a definitive answer for this one.
My Son's Player 5.0 (YP-G70CW) died quite a few months back and would no longer charge. With the device powered off the charge logo appears briefly, the screen goes black and then it repeats.
I've filmed it and put it on YouTube to see (sorry if you're not a Tool fan, just happened to be playing at the time). http://youtu.be/gGvYLwIggso
I bought a new battery, thinking that was to blame, but still the same issue. One time, after it had been sat in a drawer for ages it went into recovery mode and stayed there, I didn't have the software to hand to do anything with it at the time but that leads me to believe that it's possible to get back to recovery at least so all is not lost.
I've read somewhere that letting the battery completely drain can fix this. I've also read that disconnecting the battery and holding the power button for 10 seconds, then putting it on charge again can fix it. Neither have helped for me.
Has anyone had this specific issue and fixed it? I'm not really a Samsung fan so not familiar on how the bootloader works.
Any help much appreciated.
Well, thanks very much everyone who made suggestions or tried to help... /sarcasm
I've managed to fix this issue and managed to find out something new in the process. In order to stop the device from constantly looping, it seems that disconnecting the battery and then the ribbon cable for the power/volume buttons, then re-connecting the battery will make the YP-G70 start up in Download Mode with no restarts, allowing you time to use Heimdall or Odin to flash a new PIT and Boot image. This sorted my son's device right out. Very chuffed as I almost threw it away.
Hope this helps someone else out there having the same problem!

Can only get to a Sony logo flicker when plugged in, dead when not

Hey guys,
Went to use my phone yesterday, never flashed or anything like that, and it just wouldn't respond. When I plug it in the sony logo flickers every 7 seconds and it won't respond to any button combination for rebooting. When it's not plugged in I can't get any sort of response.
Please tell me someone has encountered this before.
Same problem
Hi I have the same problem. Only is that the screen flickers every 0.5 seconds with SE logo.
I downloaded the repair tool but not abLe to process the repair on my phone. Nothing works. Opened the phone, removed the battery plug, tried to power on the phone without the battery plugged-in, nothing. Please help.
Sony repair wont help me. Apparently there is calcium on the magnetic ports or liquid damage in the phone; no liquid damage at all, phone was never put in water and nor any of the white stickers turned red.

Maybe due to corrupt software. Try flashing a new firmware using flashtool.
Hey guys, got some update from a repair center I usually deal with. It seems that the motherboard is dead. According to them, it seems that the battery might have been overheating and might have affect the motherboard. I'm going to try to call the sony mobile tech support and see if a repair mailer could be sent to me and going to keep you posted.
Cheers,
Gabriel
