@Nick Verse CM12.1 with @Koloses kernel
Tesla N, very nice ROM.
Well, I'm not using J5, but I've left it with RR 5.1.1. I've wanted to leave it with cm12.1, but I was lazy to do the manual modifications (flash a zip + some lines in build.prop) to fix the GPS random reboot lol.

I just rolled back to Marshmallow after all.
Lollipop is so much faster but i noticed that the marshmallow is much more stable when it comes to apps, for example, Instagram is never lagging but on lollipop there were times when it lag like hell.
Same thing with youtube app (my most used app)
you can't have the latest version of youtube because it will lag on Lollipop, i had to install youtube app from 2015 for youtube not to lag on Lollipop, and one more thing that made me roll back to Marshmallow after all is that there are no expandable Heads up notifications on Lollipop, i had to remove them using adb because they were useless, on marshmallow you can expand heads up notif. and that is really useful somehow (to see full message from viber, whatsapp etc.)

i use the lite version so it prevents fc in dolby digital plus if soundalive is available. also i flashed extremebeats aural maximizer sound mod for extra clarity (will work if you use biohazard src-k lite)
my settings on viper4android 2.3.4.0 and dolby digital plus(tested on apple earbuds and stock samsung earbuds):
dolby digital plus/atmos:
music preset > open equalizer
use surround virtualizer if you listen to EDM genres
viper4android:
spectrum extension = 1.0
Viper Bass = natural bass > 80hz > 6.0db(for punchy bass)
Viper Clarity = OZone+/natural > 6.0db
output gain = 6.0db

I think this mod is still very unkown, that's why I'm posting it here. Especially because I consider the Samsung Galaxy Players (4 and 4.2 because of DAC) as a music player with android benefits.
So I tried several mods and players and mods will always effect the sound quality more than the music player.
Yes right, it doesn't matter which music player you use, whether it's PlayerPro or PowerAMP, because you have to disable the built in EQ anyways. I tried AcidAudio with Walkman Player and thought wow. Then I tried Noozxoide with Noozyplayer and thought this was the best.
Today I found out about this mod: [OFFICIAL][MOD] ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects - Android 2.3 / 4.0 / 4.1 / 4.2 by Zhuhang
I recommend you to try this!
I'm using PowerAMP and first you have to disable Direct Volume Control. Then click on the built in Equalizer and disable EQU, TONE and LIMIT.
Now install the right version of ViPER4Android FX as described (first Manager apk, reboot , then Viper apk) and then install ViPER4Android XHiFi as described. After this you can start your music, start Viper and test what sound fits your ears.

Both.
Both have some same options. so deactivate this options in FX and try them in XHiFi. So they can coexist. Some options will use more CPU, so find out what fits you best

LOL, I discovered it the same way as you!
But I can't find a way to make it work with PlayerPro. I just ignores V4A. I think in only recognizes the built-in EQ. How do I disable it?
Thanks in advance!
For me the Viper Mods work very well. I' using powerAmp so I just disabled the DVC.
If you want to increase the effect you should download some Viper Audio Kernels :victory:
New version
Just to let everyone who loves this app, there was an updated release for 4.3. I personally tried it and can't get it to work for my SGP5. Tried everything, followed step by step instructions, went into system/lib/soundfx and deleted driver, tried installing driver 5+times all with reboots, still nothing. All this done all day Sunday after finally upgrading to 4.3 (been putting it off since viper4A was not release for 4.3 yet). I would post on OP but i'm a long time lurker and just got around to creating an account here.
Update: gave up for now on it, tried pm'ing zhuhang about the driver loop issue but he had the same idea i had and just to wait for new release this weekend.
on the upside this situation forced me to experiment with other apps, some may be familiar with noozxide's pro app, which i tried and found lacking. But his e-series version does add a noticeable punch to bass while keeping mid - high range. may wanna try it out if you get bored.

Guys I am running a TW based rom, blekota note 4.which is the best possible sound mod based on beats, dts,Sony or a combination of these
Bottom line: I want to increase the sound quality especially bass
You should use eXtremeBeats™. Its a combination of features from other sound mods plus some extra ones. Check out its XDA thread.
Credits to @Ben Feutrill
But does it work on TW based rom
Its AOSP but themed with touchwiz so it should work.
Hello, @Kiranrey.
First off I would like to say thankyou to @Jericho Arcelao for this recommendation.
I also have a Galaxy S3 so I can tell you how to get the best audio quality possible, like I do.
First off get a kernel that supports boeffla sound. Preferebly boeffla kernel or Siyah kernel. Flash that kernel that is supported by your device. Now open download boeffla kernel app or boeffla sound. Now go to the audio tab and tick:
DAC Direct
Oversampling
FLL Tuning
Now download eXtremebeats. Flash EXB's. And vollia! Enjoy premium quality sound. Let that WM1811 purr
Thanks for the info @Ben Feutrill

Except that I am able to hear some distortion, when I check the speaker tuning option.
Otherwise my s3 gives sine quality sound .
Thanks to extreme beats.
Thanks again @Ben Feutrill

The speaker distortion only happens on AOSP roms. It's not my mod. I suggest getting a stock samsung touchwiz rom with beoffla kernel or agni they both have wolfson/boeffla sound.
As the title says, is there any way to route the other apps to use the sound enhacements? For example poweramp has a Music Fx feature, when activated, it uses the system's sound enhacements but youtube and other apps such as browsers have a low quality sound.
I use existenz premium lp.
I used to have existenz kk which had improved sound in all apps.
Simple. Should you be rooted and have recovery, flash any desired sound mod. If you are not rooted and have recovery, there is not much you can do...
I think you don't understand my problem. I already have two mods that give me exactly what I want but the sound effects are only available in Sony apps such as Walkman video album, and poweramp because it can be forced to use the system's sound.

Bro you really don't get it. Of course the mod gives a more powerful volume, I'm not complaining about volume, I'm taking about quality here. The sound effects do not apply to other apps. I'm a perfectionist and I feel even a tiny difference and believe me it's far from the best it can do (YouTube sound vs power amp/Walkman etc).

Well, on lollipop I am using Project PXBA™ 2.0:

Ps. You must be on Lollipop 5.1.1 in order for the sound mod to work correctly.
This mod is one of the best, if not the best possible mod should you want the best quality sound.

*Beats Audio
*htc boom sound effects with harman kardon

*More 2x Power (lossless) effects than older version
*Work with Viper4Android

I think you mean the equalizer setting.
As far I know, the global equalizer affecting all apps by default was removed by Google in Lollipop and instead the apps need to have option inside to enable its own equalizer or the system equalizer.

Is there any dolby audio mod for Android 11 with equalizer such as atmos, digital plus or dolby audio without root ?
As far as I know no you must have root. I've used Dolby Digital v7.3 from 2nd post located here quite a bit on my last device which was a OnePlus 6t and it worked very well. There was a small bug that didn't effect anything where when I initially set DD up, when turning one of the setting on or off I would have to reopen the app because it would close and push me out of it when making these adjustments. I don't mean the EQ adjustments in talking about the four other sound switches on the app below where the EQ is ok DD. This is a known bug but like I said if didn't cause anything to not work I would just flash 7.3 in magisk manager then during initial set-up I would turn on these settings one by one and one at a tone due to this issue and the app pushing me out every time I turned on a switch. Once I had all four on how I wanted them then I would adjust the EQ depending on what I was listening to.. I don't think there are Dolby Mods that can be used without root... I believe they'd have to be made as part of the rom to be that way like Atmos comes on some devices but I've never seen anything like this besides from an oem that doesn't require root.
Dolby Digital 7.3 is in the second post here:
[6.0-12.0][Magisk]Dolby Digital Plus[upd.20211005]
Dolby Digital Plus for 9.0-12.0 OS Need selinux permissive Hi. I present the mod Dolby Digital Plus (interface and functionality is the same as that of Dolby Atmos). Theoretically should work on OS 6.0-9.0. I checked only on Oreo and Pie...
