A CLEAN INSTALL.....!!!
To install a Touch-Wiz ROM on i9515 the following steps are used:
1.Using TWRP wipe Dalvik & Cache, System, Internal memory (optional)
2.Flash the ROM you want (followed by Aroma in some cases)
3.Wipe Dalvik & Cache
4.Flash the Kernel (Stock or Imperium)
5.Wipe again Dalvik & Cache
6.Reboot and wait for the first boot
Here is an example of touch-wiz ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-super-wizcyan-29-nov-15-t3259562
To install an AOSP, Lineage OS or Resurrection Remix (RR) ROM etc.. on i9515 the following steps are used:
1.Using TWRP wipe Dalvik & Cache, System, Internal memory (optional)
2.Flash the ROM you want
3.Wipe Dalvik & Cache
4.Flash Gapps (I Recommend Pico)
5.Wipe again Dalvik & Cache
6.Reboot and wait for the first boot
Here is the example of RR ROM

I didn't try the kernels on lineageOS...but these kernel nicely work in touch-wiz ROM...
Can you improve something in the kernel that will help reduce the stuttering?
Otherwise the kernel works perfect for me.

Sorry dear… I just share tested things for i9515…
Does the imperium kernel work with the Wizcyan rom? Right now I use the i9515L kernel since the i9515 has wifi problems... But that doesn't mean I don't have any problems right now. The phone gets random restarts, bluetooth isn't working, as well as the hotspot. So, will this kernel fix these problems?

I installed the kernel and now everything works fine. Thank you very much!
Hello, Cristian here, i want to thank you very much for your contribuition to our version of the s4 device whick is I9515 Value edition.
Already downloaded the stock kernel and all i hope is to be compatible with the latest version of wizcyan 4.1. But as far as it seen, should be effective unto this aspect and overall usage.
I will reply after i install the stock rom over clean install wizcyan 4.1, including the mini update attached to their official post.

As i said before, this method, including all other attempts in making the usage of stock kernel active was basically rejected by this S4 JFVELTE I9515 VALUE EDITION phone and will not work no matter what.
The good news is that the Imperium kernel is functioning well and as far as i observed, it behaves fine. I will keep testing its functions and if i will find any bug i will post it here.
Thanks.

Everything is functioning very well, except for sim card, i get the message : the sim card was ejected so i have to press on restart.. it is too often, i do not understand why i have checked the sim card. Using the imperium kernel for wizcyan 4.1.

i can install roms, bb patches, but cant get work ( no signals even crashing the server; boot loops) anything else than the Wolfbreak 6.1.3 rom v006(currently running) and the MIUI 1.6.(...)
Its general, not specific to any rom

if you did the following I am not sure how to help:
format system, data, cache etc. (best I guess would be to do a mega wipe)
flash slim
without reboot flash slim gapps
wipe cache, dalvik (just to be sure)
fix permissions (normally not necessary)
reboot

yes, I do agree with @galaxys3lover. Automatic scripts are goods, but in this particular case a manual wipe was better.
i am a lill paranoic ... i do "erase everything" before install a new rom, and I try follow the developer instructions (if he say ... full wipe is the recommended ... yeah .. i will do ... if we will have fc or problems or strange things... no regrets ... lol)
@chrismast i was reading the slim rom thread and in instructions:
"From another JB or ICS Rom to SlimBean
Download device_x.x.zip, slim_gapps.zip.
Enter CWM, wipe data, format system ( in mounts and storage)
Flash Device_x.x.zip***, then MUST flash slim_gapps.zip (other files optional)
*** - If the flash is too quick ( < 5 seconds or so), reflash device before flashing common or other zip files."
*** i do really doesn't understand this 5 secs ... some other xda slim user could bring us a enlightment for this question. maybe a slim cm aosp based rom particular issue? i don't know
"Upgrading Slim Bean
Unless we specify otherwise in changelog
Reboot to recovery, wipe cache, dalvik cache then just flash your device zip."
and the 4.2.2 Build 6 ChangeLog
"Attention:
Due to the updated TRDS 2.0 code, you HAVE TO download and flash the new gapps packages this time."
references
http://slimroms.net/index.php/installation
http://slimroms.net/index.php/changelog
maybe a "forget step"? or the problem was related to Boeffla Kernel
"Note: This kernel is only for Samsung based Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.x) roms!!! Do not install it on CM or AOSP based roms!!!
Also do NOT install it on any Samsung 4.2.x based Roms!!! You will just get a boot loop!!!" - a quote of @AndiP - red color is not mine ... lol

Not at all, i will share personal experience.
Few days ago... I flashed SlimRom and everything was OK, however, due to not reading and having an anxiety about having Boeffla, i flashed Boeffla from CWM and i get a Soft Brick but thank i had battery, i could revive via Back up and Restore (NAndroid).
Conclusion: Boeffla do not support AOSP nor AOKP

Hi all!
First of all I have bad english, and of course I'm a new guy here, in the world of customizing
Please give some info, to help to clear up my knowledge about the cyanogenmods out here. So I have an Xperia Active (2011 device). And my warranty is ended so I began to try out the custom roms and kernels. I tried some cyanogen mods and those were very good for me of course, but what I really need is to have the chance to record video files in HD. And the JB "based" CM roms not support this, I read about it why, it's clear.
But there are some ICS CM roms, the 9-serie I think. It has that function, to record in HD but only with 17-19 frames per second, so its useless. However my phone supports the 720p recording with 30 FPS. So my question is that, is there any ICS based CM rom that supports fully the camra recording out there? Or I have to live with this...
And of course theres a chance for that all the thing is my fault, so I write here how I install the ROMS:
-put ROM.zip and GAPPS.zip(compatible version ofc) on the sdcard
-flash the kernel (included in rom zip) with flashtool
-in CWM do my "full wipe":
1- In recovery go to "mount & format" and format system.
2- Format data.
3- Format cache.
4- Go to Main menu and do "Wipe data/ Restore"
5- Wipe cache partition.
6- Go to Advance and wipe calvik cache.-flash rom
-flash gapps
-reboot to system.
What roms I tried: CM 9, 9.1, and the FXP projects for these too.
Thank you in anticipation!

Hmmm...your mistaken my friends....Custom roms doesn't have anything to do with HD recording but HD recording are basically base on the kernel you use....if the kernel (custom) support HD recording, then you can record video on HD...if you kernel doesn't support it then you can't record HD with it...

bro you should be installing a ICS kernel to get it working for ICS ROMS only!! and if you want to use a CM ROM then you should use only the CM supported kernel....
in short: ICS kernels wont support CM(JB)ROMS and vice versa

Okay, thats clear, but this I mean a ICS CyanogenMod rom, like this [LwW/Mini/Mini Pro/Active] CM9.1 - FreeXperia Project [Unlocked BL] with a kernel that built for ICS (with HD recording of course  )
Or it is hardly recommended to use its own kernel?
Sorry for my weak-head

Look for Lupus Kernel (ICS), Kappa Kernel (ICS) and Mesa Hybrid ( ICS and JB ) on development section...those custom kernel will work on CM base Rom (ICS)....Some of those has HD recording enable...

About:
This rom bases on the most current Android (4.1.2) Open Source Project repo That is what makes it special comparing to other custom JB roms like AOKP or CyanogenMod. This rom is fully AOSP, without stuff from AOKP or CM. Don’t even ask if i could add theme engine, custom lockscreen or other crap. Using clean rom we can reach 200mb of free ram without any task killer on board.

Yes, i am on .54 ICS as mentioned.
I dont need to flash fresh .54?
And dont i need to flash the kernel first as mentioned in the comment below yours?
Or does flashing the zip flashes kernel and rom both?
From you instruction, the steps to install this rom after unlocking bootloader would be
1. Full Wipe (Wipe Data, Cache and dalvik cache)
2. Flash the zip
3. Reboot

3. Reboot
Right?

Hi,
for a few days my SGP 5,0 ran on PAC Rom, then i moved to CM10.2, because PAC was (in my opinion) overloaded with features. It's cool to have such nice options, but it was to much for me. In this time i didn't noticed any bug, except the cam on the INTL version. I think it was a little laggy.
Nothing more. The bootscreen it really nice and retro
Yeah honestly I enjoy the features of it but I couldn't stand the lag , every now n then freeze etc so I just went back to 4.2 on slimbean now
