Is it possible to do this? - Xperia Z4 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I have an unlocked SGP712. Currently I use Marshmallow with an outdated DRM fix. I do not have a TA partition backup, however I do need the image enhancement and all that jazz. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am under the impression that the AndroPlus custom kernel automatically applies a CPU overclock, which I the reason I use it. (Is this the role of the "Alucard CPU gov"?)
I would like:
Nougat
AndroPlus custom kernel
Root
Some kind of DRM fix
TWRP
Possibly Magisk
Any help would be appreciated!

AndroPlus kernel doesn't overclock by default. I'm pretty sure everything you want is possible, maybe Magisk is tricky. All the info's right here on this Z4T subforum. Start with the AndroPlus kernel thread.

5.1.1 Rom with stock kernel

Hi all
So unless CF-Root comes out for 5.1.1 (which i doubt if Chainfire is willing to do it or if it can be done), there won't be any rom with stock kernel which will be rooted from the beginning, right?
Thanks
this will never happen again..also if cf root comes again..Samsung changed the security and the changed things in the kernel is the only way for normal root..

Xperia Z2 Bootloader unlock and camera quality

Hi,
This may have been discussed before, but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
So I'm asking here.
I've read a long ago that unlocking the bootloader will cause degradation in image quality (due to removing DRM keys etc)
So I've been on stock firmware from the beginning.
But now that sony stopped giving updates, I want to move on to nougat.
So my question is, is there any way to preserve camera image quality while unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom rom such as ressurection N?
I'm on latest official firmware 23.5.A.1.291
rooted and nut's dual recovery installed.
Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

Before flash any nonstock based rom and unlocking bootloader back up DRM keys and do restore when set up the phone.

X820 - Newer Official Stock without root ?

Hi,
short question about my LeEco Le Max2 X820. Have bought the phone last year from tinydeals with Marshmellow stock rom 23s. They never released some security updates for this phone, no new android roms version. That's a shame because the phone has enough power to run the latest android versions.
maybe a stupid question but is it possible to flash a newer custom rom without rooting the phone ? I believe no in due to unlocking the bootloader. I don't like to root this phone because I want to play pokemon go without using magisk or any other root stealth programms.
Regards,
shredman
Heyyo, you don't need to root no, just unlock bootloader.
The only downside to this is of course no custom ROM will ever pass SafetyNet without using hacks like greenlight kernel to fake being SafetyNet certified.
Some ROMs do use this such as OmniROM Nougat, LineageOS Pro Oreo and I'm unsure which other ones do it...

Well, yes it's actually stupid question. Why do you want to root rom you are about to erase, why do even think about that? You only need to to unlock bootloader

5.1.1 RIC Disabler?

Hi, I've already searched the forums, and there's no posts about Sony RIC killer for 5.1.1 or even a kernel for 5.1.1 that disables RIC, I'm using a stock kernel, does anyone have a zip that I can flash? please, I really need it . I have an unlocked bootloader with TWRP recovery and also a SuperSU
Never mind, I found one on github, it works for all Zx phones (I guess? since it says it's for Xperia Zx)

Question Custom Kernels? Modules for stock roms?

Are custom kernels possible? What about compiling modules for stock roms?
I don't know jack about it, but was looking to use a proxmark with my s23 and am told I need a cdc_acm module, or the device /dev/ttyACM0.
Thoughts? Any Education?
Idk about what you're wanting there at the end BUT as for custom kernels it's almost never going to happen. And no magisk module can make a custom kernel. The system doesn't work that way. The kernel boots up before the system even starts and that includes magisk
I don't know why you brought up Magisk? I'm talking about kernel modules. Custom module(and whole kernels) were possible for earlier phones, I had 2 on the s10.
My goal is to be able to use my proxmark from my phone.
