HI to all.
I almost bricked my le max 2 x829. But by flashing with fastboot i mannaged to instal the base rom. 9Ax820) one
unfortunately it now only shows about 9 gigs of storage space while i own a 64 gig with 4 gb ram..
what to do now ????
I also already rooted the phone and got trwp on it and flashed pure nexus back again.
Sorry already fixed all probs. only get failed to.... cust in TRWP
I did Format Data from TWRP instead and the partition shows 64GB correctly instead of 10 GB initially

Hi,
i just realised my phone space is not enough, so i checked for files a can delete and saw i only have 2,91 GB internal space.
Isn't the normal internal space of the p9000 around 32gb ??!
what have i done to my phone:
Installed TWRP
Installed this Custom Rom
Rooted
But after in installed final 3 (~4 month ago) all worked fine and before installing final 4 (today) i realised.
My idea is my phone has "broken" parts in it, caus phone smashed floor.
But "only" ~29gb broke and ~3gb are still working just fine?
What can i do?

some data could be corrupted.. you cant brick a few gb of info... if it was a hw issue it would be all corrupted... use sp flash tools, reinstall a rom.. (if you have nvram backup, format all first then restore nvram)..
Had the same issue. I re-flashed CM13 and it worked afterwards.
I bought my S3 two days ago and I noticed that the system occupies 18,75GB!!! Is that correct? So what is the use on having 32GB if almost 20GB come already used from factory!!!!
Moreover, still could not root mine using the files and tutorial found around here. TWPR passes on ODIN install but gives me a boot looping... So that I can't enable adoptive storage on my 64 GB SD card.
Please let me know if it is correct.

No, post a screen shot of your storage usage.
Thanks for your time!
Attached.
I factory reseted the tablet and the space occupied by system now is around 7,8 GB.
Somehow it was duplicated in the first case. I have flashed OS through odin after a boot loop so I think it was a cache issue.
Anyway, solved.
My phone has a 32GB storage space, but after I have flashed the RR Oreo ROM, the maximum space shrank to 9GB. Do I need to re partition the space? There is a thread which is the same situation as me but it's for nexus 6 phones....
I cannot flash stock MIUI 9 rom due to fail unmount when installing using TWRP...
Please suggest what I can do...
Sounds like you messed up your partitions. The same commands you'll find in the Nexus threads will work for all devices, AFAIK. Do an advanced wipe and resize the file system in TWRP. If that doesn't work, try fastboot format userdata in fastboot. Then try flashing the stock MIUI recovery (here it is for mido devices only!: http://en.miui.com/thread-528989-1-1.html) for your device and stock ROM for your device.
You might have to use Mi Flash. Qualcomm devices only.
Based on your steps, I have formatted however I had used ext4 and reverted to Stock MIUI rom. However just checking, I had 23.77 GB of storage space. Is this normal? Or I have to restore by stock recovery mode?
It shows in storage settings:
NON-SYSTEM STORAGE
Available 23.77GB Total: 25.23GB
Thanks for your help!

Yes. The system will always take up some space, and so will storage in general. For example, a 32 gig USB stick might have 29 gigs of available space. Smartphones add system files on top of that. So that 29 gigs becomes 25 gigs once the OS is installed.
And yes, you should only have 24-25 gigs available at most: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/usable-storage-size-32gb-model-t3634746
You could try flashing a custom ROM to see if you can get more space back. MIUI is really big.
Hi all!
I came from Nougat and update to Oreo following a step by step from XDA.
Flashed the update thru Odin, patched Dm verity also with Odin and flashed TWRP. No root.
After it boots into the system it shows 24GB total internal storage (on ES Explorer and Disk Usage. Samsung "My Files" shows 32GB...
Tried all I read here.
Tried booting in TWRP and format data.
Tried wiping all ways.
Tried downgrading to Nougat.
No success...
Any clues?

32 GB is the total storage WITH SYSTEM
24 GB is the storage that you can use.

Oh, really???!!!
Geez...
But it has always been like that or it is something that started being shown like this recently (Nougat and Oreo)?
Anyways, thank you for the answer!
It's always been like that because I have a Galaxy Tab 3 tablet with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and it shows the same thing.
8gb for system?
In a terminal emulator or adb do:
df > /sdcard/df.txt
Post it here.

this 11 gb is for the partitions for system, data, recovery... my 820 had 23gb free of 32 gb... all phones are the same... this space of memory is reserved for the system... there is necessary for the system... if you wipe system image or another partition you will brick your phone... xD
you can try to resize this partitions but making this can cause problems and a hard brick do it carefully...
for had 1 or 2 gb free more there isnt worth it...
sorry for my english im spanish xDxd
ayhh yeah I Mean like this but I was not sure ? thank u so much for your helping ?
