Help on SystemUI.apk - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi there and hello everyone!
I am new to the forum and a noob when it comes to Android development.
I am a little bit stuck regarding my researches and hopefully will get a little help here.
As many people know, a lot (nearly all) of chinese devices carry malware in them: So with the Doogee X5max.
I have identified four threads on the phone and was able to get rid off three of them in the meantime.
The last one that is really struggeling me is located within the SystemUI.apk (according to Dr Web light).
Now my questions:
1) As far as I know, SystemUI.apk only holds style information regarding the user interface of the device.
How can malware / trojan / virus, etc. do its job from within the SystemUI.apk? Is there any executable code in it?
2) Can I just decompile a SystemUI.apk from let's say AOSP and recompile it using the framework stored on my phone and then install it?
3) Does anyone have experience in removing malware that resides within the firmware of a device and did NOT come from the outside, e.g. via sideloads?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, as far as i know if systemui have specific permission/code then virus can use systemui for abnormal use.

Hello, I have looked for this for a long time and haven't come up with an answer. I know Android uses the Locale.java code for looking up and matching the locales. I also know it uses ISO-639 for language codes. But what is frustrating me is - Where is this ISO-639 table/code/file stored in Android? Greetings! Well, is how the title says. I want to start making my own systems apps. For instance, I want to start developing a camera apk for my GS3 but the problem is that I don't know how to do it. I don't know how to open those internals files like xml files(they do not open correctly with a note app), .rsa files, .mf files, .sf files, .dex files, .arsc files and the list continues. How to compile and discompile apks or flashable files... All of this is because I want to star my own proyect, and through this way, to enter the android developing community of the GS3! If anyone could help me to accomplish this I would be VERY grateful! If theres a guide (I tried to look for one but my research did not throw any result) that would be better! Hope you could understand me because English is not my main language, but hey, I'm learning Thank You SO MUCH for YOUR TIME!
Personally I think you should start to learn the programming and code from your toaster, but hey - if you want to damage your S3 - it is your free will (I hope) OK, let's go to the matter, first. Assessing your coding skills based on your questions, I decided that you should start your learning from this. Furthermore, to be more presice against your questions, if you would become literate expert in above linked knowledge, feel free to use this as a small sample. Tablet [4.1.2] bottom system bar on Nougat? Help!
Hello all, Ok, so I, for an unknown reason even to myself, am desperate to use the Android ICS/Jellybean bottom system bar on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I am using Android 7.0 - Nemesis ROM. I have been trying to do this for so long, simply lacking the precise coding knowledge to do so. I have downloaded the code from the Android Developers reference website, but am having a lot of difficulty decompiling the Framework-res.apk. I have read that the magic happens in three files: Framework-res.apk System.apk Services.jar I have downloaded prior to today a copy of these files, with the hope of swapping them with my own and then changing the DPI to turn my S6 Edge into the old tablet mode. Prior to KitKat, all I needed to do was change the DPI. I should make it clear, my laptop at the moment is no longer working at the moment, so I would be extremely grateful if somebody, anybody with good knowledge of compiling and decompiling these files, could help me? Hi all, I have a rooted phone and flashed many files and installed many apps but I don't not have a fundamental knowledge on Android. When trying to research I only find "developer guides" with the aim of building applications however I would rather understand what Android is ? What flashing files do? Why we flags .IMG files? What Google framework is ? Totally random questions but they came to my mind. If anyone understands what type of stuff I'm talking about please share.
