Hi everyone,
I have a LG G3 (AT&T) version d850, running lineageOS 14.1, rooted (verified with root checker) and bootloader unlocked.
Thing is, after flashing lineage and gapps through TWRP, my internal storage has stopped working.
I've read from a lot of threads from xda and other forums but i still can't find any possible solution
With this i mean: i can't see files from the internal storage (/sdcard/ which points to ->storage/self/primary) from the explorer that comes within lineage, nor root browser nor ES file explorer, i can't push files with adb unless im in recovery mode, can't open camera because it says "internal storage is running out of space. Tried to change ownership/permissions but it was useless, even with the Fix permissions script that i found here at xda.
Im not by any means an android expert as im just starting to explore this kind of things, i'll be thankful if someone can help
Greetings

Hello everyone!
I will ask my question here since i am not able to post directly in the ViperX+ forum.
Yesterday I installed the new ViperX+ ROM with Android 4.2.2 and it worked out pretty well so far. After booting I moved everything from "/data/media" into "/data/media/0" where the sdcard mounts to in >4.2 ROMs because of the multi user feature.
So the problem is that I can't access my data. Everything is there under "/data/media/0" when I use ES file explorer, but it is not under "/sdcard" where the Phone seems to look for it.
I reinstalled Kernel and ROM but it still doesn't work.
Does anyone have a similar problem?
Would be great if someone could help.
EDIT:
Droid Explorer shows that the Link /sdcard is pointig to "/data/media/Legacy" instead of "/data/media/0" where all my data is. I know that the 0 folder is the default for the first user of the phone, but what is Legacy?
I have bought new Bauhn tablet AT-HK97.
I tried lot to find method to root it.
It does not have volume Button, and drivers are also not available.
Specifications:
Rockchip 3188T
Cortex-A9
Quad Core
1.4 GHz
Android 4.2 .2 Jellybean
I want to root it because, ts system storage is of 1GB , which is not enough for me. And internal storage of 16 GB, it tried lot to install apps in 16GB storage but all fail.
Any resolution for this yet? I have the same problem
Rooted but not Bricked
Hi there those interested. I have been procrastinating due to illness but I have located an update image and loaded it onto my external SD card. After installing Kingroot which gave me access to the root directory, and a file manager which could manipulate root, I moved the update IMG to the root. Howerever, when I rebooted, it seems the r/w reverted to r/o and caused an error. Subsequent attempts to run the update removes the .IMG file from the root before it can suggest the upgrade. I suspect the culprit is Kingroot which knows that an upgrade will uninstall it. I have reset to factory data and was able to disable Kingroot but it still hangs in there waiting.
Amazingly, the unwanted .IMG file has been moved to the inaccessible internal storage.
My next option is to try a rooting method that doesn't take over my system. Any suggestions?
There options for removing Kingroot but they seem to just replace it with similar monsters.
Also, 'root genius' is a method which is used from a PC. Has anyone any experience with this?
I guess the device is rushing on to 3 years old and any owners and users may have moved on to later androids.
However, I find the device still quite useable for my old eyes. I just wish I did not need to clear out data to download app updates.
Any help would be appreciated
Hi there,
I am stuck in a unique situation where my Android phone is acting strangely. It appears that all apps lost internet and/or SD card storage permissions. From the phone no app can read/write/access storage or internet. I can still use adb to look at the SD card (both internal and external) on the phone, I can install a package using adb, I can pull files using adb, but I can't write or delete any files using adb.
I wonder if there is a way to regain those permissions by using adb? Sending some package and execute some commands to force Android to reload the platform.xml? Does it have anything to do with KNOX on the device somehow getting into the way? When I put the phone in Download Mode I still see KNOX not being tripped (0x0).
The Android version is 4.4.2.
P.S. Forgive me if this post seems to be out of place. I was posting similar questions in the specific phone forum but I got little success there. So I decided to post the question here in the generic Android area, hopefully it is the right place where there are many more developers who have experience with Android in general can help.
Thanks
Hi,
I really don't like MTP. It's slow and you need to wait for download file to computer to open it. A few years ago I had LG P760 and there was a mod to enable UMS (i remember it was Android 4.x - probably Jelly Bean).
So my question: Is it possible to enable UMS on Android Nougat or Android Marshmallow on ours G5? My model is H850 with unlocked bootloader and rooted system.
maybe this app could help ->https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-universal-mass-storage-enabler-beta-t3240097
read here too -> https://iwf1.com/how-to-mount-android-device-as-usb-mass-storage-ums/
please report!
could not try because my device is not rooted
Yeah, i know this app but it only mount external_SD as UMS. Any chance to use Internal Memory and External SD memory as UMS? I searched a little and seams to be hard or even not possible
because we are using systems >Android 4, i know no other way to get back UMS possibility. As i read, there was a way to edit build.prop or system.ini to get this feature back. But this was possible for lg g3. Don’t know, if this will be possible for MM and Nougat too! For internal mem, i never saw before!
see here

-> http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/...evice-mtp-how-to-go-back-to-usb-mass-storage/
BTW:
But there is a way to get "adoptable storage"
For this feature, you can edit build.prob on rooted devices. You have to change ro.lge.adoptable_storage from „false“ to „true“.Save build.prop and chage permission chmod 644 /system/build.prop. After reboot, you should see the new feature at setup/mem&usb
maybe this is all bull****, than please excuse me! I’m not familiar with this problem!
Adoptable storage and UMS are not working together. For now mounting external_SD as UMS must be enough for me. Thanks for reply
See attached - fresh download/install of Havoc 2.9 and Gapps; changed fingerprint to: PQ3B.190801.002
Cannot write to SD card using Google Files or Root Explorer. Any suggestions on what to try or even how to obtain more information would be appreciated. Card worked when on Los but not since being on Havoc. Point - card HAS worked on Pie ROMs before.
Edit: somehow, I had a screenshot taken while using TWRP, yesterday, and stored on SD card. Card is good...just cannot figure how to access for write (add/delete).
I've been having this problem too:
H932 (Tmobile V30)
Rooted stock Oreo
ES File Explorer
I've only been having this problem the past 1-2 months. No OS updates. I have done some application (app) updates through Google Play. Root is working, can get into Terminal Emulator, run "su" command, my firewall works, Magisk & Xposed all report no problems., & all my modules & extensions work fine.
Hopefully someone has an idea.
