Wireless charging - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to charge the tablet wirelessly, but it does not have built-in QI technology. Is there any way to charge this tablet wirelessly?
Thank you for your answer.

Scosche 2.1A car adapter does NOT work

I recently purchased the Scosche reVOLT c2 dual usb car charger. Being 2.1A, I was hoping it would work with my new Prime. Unfortunately that is not the case. It's a nice product and works we with all my other USB devices, but no luck with the TF. Unless anyone has any ideas to make it work, avoid this if you are looking to charge your Prime.

Even though most car chargers run off 12VDC input, they output only 5V for usb devices. The TF itself should trickle-charge with 5V, but in order to actually fast charge it (or charge while in-use), it requires [email protected] or more (give or take).
You need at least 12v output to charge the Prime at a normal rate. 15v is ideal. Standard USB is 5v.
+1 ^^ although I think I did read somewhere that the Prime will trickle charge on USB if it's off or "not in use"? Can't recall where I saw this...

Yes, the Prime will charge on a standard USB port, but it will do so very slowly. I have done so myself.

Wireless Charging vs Wired

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if you guys have tried wireless charging on your Note 3 (QI). Does anyone know if any wireless charging charges as fast
as wired charging? The wired charging is incredible as im sure you all know but any wireless charging that is just as fast?
Thanks,
VinceC
Charging speeds depend on the charging mat that you use. The one I use at the moment only outputs at 1A, whereas the official Samsung AC adapter outputs at 2A. I can't really compare the charging durations as I charge my phone when I sleep.
my wired car charger...
Well I would say my car charger is the best one among them..as it charges my phone very fast even in the duration that i take to reach from my home to the workplace...I use the belkin one..and I really like it...it outputs as 2A..and that is which make me smiling...
Wireless charging max out at 640mAh using the wireless contact, wireless charging through the USB max out at 1000mAh.

Tried QI charging but IMHO the amount of heat is not acceptable.
wall charger will be fast. As said its about the Amp out put.
Think of it as speed. The higher the amp the faster it will go.
I do know that with wireless charging my phone gets hot while with the core it doesnt.
But i know its from the wirelessness its an induction type of charging.
I prefer wireless charging as wireless charging is a MUST for me as I have many devices and i am getting sick of plugging in wires.
wireless is not fast as the wired
I have 2 different wireless chargers and they work great. I use my USB 3.0 charger once in a while.

[Q] Wireless charging when docked in tablet

My padfone s by itself can be charge with my wireless qi charger. When docked into the tablet and placed on the wireless charger pad, the wireless charger LED lights up but it does not charge the phone nor the tablet. Is this a bug or intentional? And does this problem extend to padfone X users as well?

15W charging stand (not pad)

Hi all.
I'd really like to have my phone propped up at an angle when it's sitting on the charging pad. Does anyone know of a bracket/adaptor that the Huawei charging pad can sit in to facilitate this, or alternatively, a charging stand that will accomplish the same task?
Thanks.
if you don't use the official huawei wireless charger, your mate 20 will wireless recharge at max 10w even if you use 15w wireless charger. So you better buy a 10w wireless stand it's cheap on aliexpress

LG V60 T-mobile magnetic car charging pad

I am trying to charge my LG v60 tmobile in my 2021 Prius prime. it has magnetic charging pad. the phone start charging but then the charger start flashing light in few seconds that phone is not charged. no matter how many time you tried it wont charge. I remove the cover and try every other way to charge but it wont charge.
took it to Toyota they tested and finally said its your phone the charging pad is fine.
anyone experiencing the same or have any idea please share. thank you
In my experience, this phone is picky about chargers - both wired and Qi. I found a great holder & wireless charger similar to this one, then paired it with a high-power 12v adapter. Unfortunately, neither of these are available any more. But you should be able to find similar products that, when combined, will give your V60 enough juice. I can't recall at the moment, but it may also be high-speed wireless charging -- something even harder to do with this phone.
You could also try removing your phone from the case if it's in one. A bare phone will get it into closer proximity with the charging coils.
I don't know how the magnetic charging pad is wired in your car, but perhaps there's a way to get it connected to a higher output 12v circuit. Check YouTube or the car forums, etc.

It charges at home with qi charger and wired both ways.
pits the car pad that stops charging.
I have tried everything with and without case the result is same.
toyota said the car pad gives as much juice it wants it’s interactive. But it’s your phone not syncing with pad.

Not syncing doesn't seem like much of an answer, and doesn't explain why it's not charging. Did you check the car forums?
