Hi Everyone!
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get information about a2dp profile codec compatibility and a codec is in use on a particular connection. For example: if I have connected bluetooth headset I'd like to know what is list of supported codecs by this headset (by my phone as a bonus) and what particular codec is currently in use to stream audio to the headset.
Is it possible to achieve this using Android API or it demands some deep digging into Bluetooth HAL.
Any help or hints will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Is there a program that I can use to allow my bluetooth headset to be utilized with audio programs? I can use it for phone calls only and would like to use it to listen to audio books with Audible.com or to movies on WMP. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Thanks
I wonder if it would be possible on a rooted Android phone to play audio (music, navigation) through a HFP-enabled bluetooth car-system.
Many car-systems don't support A2DP but just HFP or HSP.
I'm aware that HFP/HSP is not stereo and just low-quality but it would still be way better than the builtin phone-speaker.
Basically an app would have to open an HFP channel (thereby simulating an ongoing call) and then route the "normal" audio via that channel.
Any ideas? Would that work?
I am looking for something like this did you find anything?

Hey, folks!
Today, in 2014 there are many options for not rooted Android users. Just search : BTMono, BTHeadset, BT Music, Audio Router and alike...
Some are free, others paid, some trials, etc. The one I have is working quite fine: BTHeadSet
The car acts as if I were receiving a phone call and the audio is routed, sent to the car speakers.
Have a nice day ! *-*
Hey all, I'm new to this Android business and Googling around isn't helping me too much.
If I have a BT headset attached to my phone/tablet, can I route the sound output to the miniplug on the device and still use some of the hard buttons on the BT headset?
I'm mainly thinking that I want a Bluetooth remote for my tablet and the only ones that I can find are attached to headsets or have miniplug out. I need to keep the audio going through the device directly (through headphone or stripped audio from the HDMI-out), any advice?
Thanks!
Hello friends
I have one questin -is it possible to use A2DP bluetooth profile to listen music/listen instruction from my gps application in my car? I have Opel Zafira B with UHP bluetooth module- who support handsfree profi profile and A2DP -stereo audio profile. I was tested 2 weeks ago with Nokia E90 communicator who also support A2DP -and everythinhg was very good.
I was used to mp3 player and GPS navigation(listen instruction from build speaker in car).
I am searching in google, and find it one program SoundAbout -but also with this program I have also problem with A2DP profile.

I have the GPE edition of the Z Ultra (running the stock ROM), and I am able to listen to music and GPS using A2DP through a generic bluetooth car receiver with no problems. No extra software needed.

Hello guys,
I have a Note 5 and want to listen to music via my Bose QC 35 II. As these headphones only support SBC, which is quite basic and the slightly better AAC codec, no Aptx streaming is possible. It is sad that the good sounding aptx is not available, so i wanted to get the best out of it and try to listen with the aac codec. Unfortunately, it is only possible to manually change the bluetooth codec in Android Oreo. Is there a way be it an additional app or similar actions to manipulate the bluetooth audio codec even in Android Nougat?
Thanks in advance*
