Page plus is a prepaid CDMA wireless carrier that operates on the verizon network. They are the only (that I know of) prepaid carrier that always you to add your sprint ESN (good or bad) onto their network. Other carriers do not allow you to flash your own phone onto their network, thus you have to buy a "donor phone". This is why I chose page plus, I didnt wanna pay for a donor phone or clone my ESN.
Page plus

(800) 550-2436
This guide will get you talk text and data.
Warning you will only get 1x speed with this guide, you would need to extract 3g keys from an actual verizon 3g phone to get working 3g. My 1x speeds tested around 200 kbps both up and down, sadly faster then Sprint 3G in my area.
Go to settings>about phone>phone identity and grab a pen and paper and write your 14 digit MEID number down.
First read the guide to make sure you can do this. It is actually super easy, the longest part is downloading the necessary software and drivers.
Read the guide? Comfortable with the process? Call Page Plus at (800) 550-2436. Expect to sit on hold for 5-30 minutes. Tell the rep that you do not have an account and you would like to flash your sprint phone onto their network. They will ask you for your ESN. Give them the MEID you wrote down and they will ask your city, state, and zip to give you a local area code. The rep will give you a phone number and a MIN, write these down.
There is an option to activate your phone online instead but DONT. If you call they will do it for free and give you 20 minutes of airtime, if you do it online it will cost you 10 dollars.
Cool! Your phone is now ready to be flashed to the phone number that page plus gave you. Lets make a checklist on necessary software.
You MUST do this on a sense based ROM, as you will be putting your phone in USB diagnostic mode, and CM10 does not recognize it when you do this.
Download MSL Reader off of the market (requires root) this will you give you your SPC code.

What about porting your phone number over from Sprint?
Is that possible?
I'm getting sick of Sprint so I might get rid of it altogether.
And thank you.
Indeed... you can.
Wrote the guide assuming a lot of people were gonna be throwing bad ESN's onto page plus.
Just remember you cant be in contract or owe sprint any money at all.
You can port right on page plus's website for free

What are Page Plus's plans like?
Do they offer good deals? Currently for 5 smartphones with unlimited data, we pay $250. That's $50 a phone. Does Page Plus offer anything better or worse?
This has my attention. I actually might consider this.
Thanks OP!

MetroPCS
Hey guys, I'm considering buying a EVO 4G LTE to run on MetroPCS, since the DROID RAZR I bought is incompatible with Metro's network. The reason being, MetroPCS doesn't accept MEIDs beginning with anything other than A00000 or A100000, and the RAZR's MEID begins with 99x. So my question is what does the EVO 4G LTE's MEID start with? Thanks in advance!:good:
I just bought an Evo 4G LTE to try this. Now i had in mind flashing it to boost mobile however, i know PP runs on VZ network and VZ network is very reliable, but i cannot stand 1X speed of 200kbps coming from an 29Mbps phone on AT&T. has 3G been sorted out yet? and on 200kbps, how is facebook and instagram loading? do they take time? I USE those the most and i just dont want to wait a long time for my feeds and tp upload and download pictures.
Also another things is, if i do this on stock ROM and happen to change ROMs, will I still have PP? I like trying out many custom roms to find the best one that suits my need for speed, stability and battery life.
Reserved!! thanks for the Guide
I flash ROMs all the time. It wont affect anything as long as your not flashing radios.
Osmosis perhaps today if I get time I'll take a video of my evo loading Facebook with my 30 meg WiFi and page plus.

Anyone figure this out, to get Voicemail notification working?
Out of curiosity, why would you create a new M.IP profile under Profile 2 instead of just changing what's in Profile 1?
Is it just so you can return it back to stock more easily?
Just wondering because the ROM always shows "Current account" in the About screen as the NAI of Profile 1 no matter what I set Active Profile to be, and if I want that to be accurate, I have to change Profile 1 instead.
reverse this process?
I bought an evo lte from a lady who had this done because she was sick of sprint. I want to flash my phone from page plus back to sprint. Can anyone help? Or does anyone want to trade a phone that's still on sprint for one that's flashed to page plus?
deff doing this tonight, is it the same steps for the ogevo? my wife has an ogevo and im going to need to flash it over aswell
Also is there maybe a way someone can port a prl that has 4g lte? Idk if its possible but that would be freaking awesome
okay i got a question, i got an old bb laying around for vzw and it has a bad esn but could i extract the 3g keys from it to use on my ltevo?
While in Mexico next month can I WiFi call to the US on my g3 ?
I have the HTC One (M8) and did my update (Which added the Wi-Fi calling app). I am currently in Mexico (Been here since Saturday) and I couldn't get the Wi-Fi calling to kick in while connected to a Wi-Fi. Everytime I tried to connect by enabling the Wi-Fi the location part of the Wi-Fi calling app would kick in and I would get a message something to the effect that wi-fi calling wouldn't work in my current location (Not exact words but that is what it would tell me). So I decided to turn off the locate me feature in the Wi-Fi calling app and enter my home address (from the US) and it said confirming address took a while and it seemed like nothing happened. A little while later all my text messages and my voicemail s started to show up on my phone and the Wi-Fi calling icon showed up on my status screen.
I'm going to be honest. I was also tinkering with the network connection settings and manually selected cdma/lte in the network mode and enabled Domestic voice and data. I just wanted to get some type of service (i didn't care if it was going to go into roaming because I needed to make calls back to the states). So I'm assuming I am using the Wi-Fi calling feature because I don't have the data portion on the phone turned on and I don't have international voice or data enabled. But I will find out on my bill next month.
If I'm really on Wi-Fi calling mode then the key (i think is to trick the location servive of the Wi-Fi calling app to think you in the US by typing in an address in the US and not letting the app locate you automatically to Mexico....
I was trying to upload screen shots from my phone but the web browser let's me. I will pots the images after the 19th..

I just returned from Mexico and had turned the wifi calling on my last day their. At first worked great made a few calls back and it worked crystal clear. Then it started to ask for location I tried everything even when it did accept a location over the border in the U.S.(I was in a border town) it stopped working. My friend who has the wifi calling from T-mobile had no problem. Hopefully Sprint (lol) will get a clue.
I am attempting to switch my Verizon GS4 handset to Straight Talk Wireless, but I can't do anything to change the APN settings. I restarted my phone multiple times with the ST SIM in the slot, but it continued to connect to Verizon's network. Some research later, I found that I needed to change the APN to Straight Talk, but I can't.
Only Verizon's LTE access shows up in the menu. There's a + button at the bottom, but it's greyed out, with either SIM (tried both as per this HTC One thread). Pressing the menu softbutton gives me the "reset to default" option, also greyed out and inoperable.
The phone is rooted, still running Jellybean 4.2 MK2 because once I rooted, the OTA updates would fail, and I was never brave enough to try Safestrap. I'm worried this might be part of the same break.

In my experience, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!
I do NOT mean that in any disrespectful way to you, but I DO mean it in a way against Verizon and Tmobile.
I have the same phone AND the same problem with service; however, I CAN add an APN. The catch is IT STILL CONNECTS TO VERIZON!!!
Now, my phone updated to the utter crap that is Lollipop, and I can no longer get my call-Verizon-voicemail-and-disconnect workaround to work as the connection is a lot more seamless and does not drop/fully disconnect after the call disconnects. Before, I'd goto my notifications and see "NO SERVICE" in the bottom of the slide down box with my VZW voicemail notification with it's 10 voicemails. Then, I'd do my workaround and everything would work (and, by everything, I mean text messaging as voice and data WERE working pre-workaround). But, like I said, now I can no longer do that (Lollipop SAYS it's connected to Tmobile off the bat (right after booting up); however, I CANNOT send text messages NO MATTER WHAT I DO!!!
It's completely aggravating and how Verizon can say they sell a phone "UNLOCKED" when their APN is in there with other APNs and GREYED OUT so you CANNOT REMOVE IT (which, as I've shown above, causes massive problems) and how Tmobile can say ON THEIR SWITCH WEBSITE that my VERIZON SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 *WILL* WORK on their network... it's all beyond me. It's deceptive/straight up lying marketing and the way Tblowbile always tells me they cannot support my phone and to buy a new phone WHEN THEIR OWN WEBSITE SAYS IT WILL WORK is 100% bait and switch and up for a class action lawsuit!
Update: it does appear my service with the ST SIM really is through my Straight Talk account now, despite what the APN settings show. I got my device activation text from ST. This makes sense, since Straight Talk is a virtual carrier buying airtime from the real networks like Verizon.
However, I don't have an LTE connection. I don't have any data connection, just voice and SMS. I'm not sure if that's a problem on my end or the carrier's, but getting the data I'm paying for is less of an emergency than not having any mobile communication.
Has anyone found a work around for this. On straight talk, I can get calls and even internet when set to global network. I cannot text either sms or mms. My APN setting completely grayed out. I can not add or change existing and tried an apn manager with no luck.
I suspect I'll have to flash a completely Verizon-less build to fix it, but I did have an ST representative call me to ask if everything was working and offer to try to help me fix it. I just didn't have time right then and they didn't call back when I asked them to.
Just my experience
Hey not sure if this will help anyone out but I'll add what I've experienced. I have a gs4 running hyperdrive and my data service from straight talk has cut out a couple times before. The first time I just waited, and it fixed itself after a day or two. Second time I called ST and they told me to restart my phone (like I hadn't done that 10 times already). Later that day, data randomly comes back. I noticed that the fix for me was to switch apn settings. Somehow my phone did it automatically. But now my data is MUCH slower than before. Straight talk seems to be a tricky company. You never really know what you'll get with them. Just other carriers' sloppy seconds. Cutouts also seem more common at the end of usage cycles. Seems a lot of people fix it by calling ST
Also, I can edit my APN. Not sure if it's because I'm on an aftermarket ROM or what. But now I'm on the hunt for an APN with better data speeds if possible.
Straight Talk APN
It took me 3 months of calling Straight Talk and telling them they needed to send the right APN settings to my phone, after they finally listened it took 2 minutes until I received a text saying they updated my APN settings. I had the exact same problem as you. I had voice and SMS but not data. And my APN settings were greyed also. Now it says
Verizon Internet
TFTWO.GW9.VZWENTP
You just have to get them to update the APN. Getting them to listen is the hardest part! I hope this helps!
Bad news, the LTE functionality test hack used to edit apns on S9 and older phones doesn't work anymore. But good news is, if you know your MSL (all 0's for unlocked), you can create new APNs. Just dial ##3282#, put in your MSL, click APN Settings, and create a new APN with the same settings as APN2 LTE ... internet, but add dun at end of APN type.
You cannot modify the APN once you save it, but if you make a mistake, go to general management, reset, reset network settings to remove the APN you added and fix any problems.
Enjoy
EDIT: Updating profile deletes the APN so you should get used to creating new APNs frequently.

I do not believe so but I have not been able to verify yet. I can verify that it does switch APN because mobile data cuts off for a min when you switch to the one you made, and a similar procedure on the S9 did not count on my tethering data. I get 50gb and it didn't count at all, just my normal data. I will test with this new one though.

Add button is greyed out... I am not unlocked, I used 6, 0's but it let me hit Ok

Thanks this worked for me hopefully it sticks without profile getting updated.
How did you edit this my phone will not allow me to edit this its grayed out. I try to add a d it dose nothing
works. :good:
how to get "enhanced LTE" working? so LTE stay connected while on voice call?
It seems that after the new update, I can not change it to my new added apn. Anyone could help?
I just called Sprint and they have me all 0's as my MSL. So means I'm unlocked and I didn't even know. Unless they lied. I'm about to find out when I try this hack.
Update: boo add option is grayed out. I didn't take this newest update and I thought that was the update that prevented adding APN.

It will reset to your current update. You could flash older though, as long as the bootloader's haven't changed, which I believe hasn't but could be wrong.

Thanks. I'm going to look for the version I had when I bought my phone 3/12/19.
I think that Hotpot is included with my Sprint plan. Yip I think it's 50gb hotspot.
Disregard.
Following along... MSL 0's, cant "add" anything... I rarely use the hotspot, but at times I *need* it.
Any idea if anyone has broken this yet? I’m in the same boat where even with my MSL the edit functions are greed out.
is this still working?

would love to know if sprint folks still have the workaround for the wifi hotspot. I'm sitting on an unlocked S10 that I haven't shoved my SIM card in yet because I absolutely need the hotspot sometimes...
Hi folks,
The title pretty much says it all. I've got a new unlocked P6 bought from Google, using it on AT&T here in the US. It doesn't show VoLTE and when I go in to turn on VoWIFI I get an error to the effect that "we couldn't turn on VoWIFI."
The VoLTE worked out of the box on my prior phone (OP6T) but I never attempted VoWIFI with it.
Is there a special process to go through, or do I need to chat up the ATT reps? It's possible I'm not provisioned appropriately; my SIM is the same SIM I've been using on several phones over a good number of years.
Before I go in "cold" to a conversation with them I'd prefer to know exactly what to ask them for.
Thanks
Here's their whitelist:
Note this is the latest updated list (edit)
I had to have them enable it for me. I did it via chat support. It broke the ability took make regular calls but a quick call back (from a different phone) and it was fixed.

I double checked my devices... but the proof will be when they still are working.
Lol, what could go wrong?
Yeah, be afraid, be very afraid
On with chat now. Just gave them my IMEI. We shall see soon
OK, I'm all set. I think, or maybe I hope.
The chat function worked well. After getting past the chatbot I spoke with a real agent, explained my need, and she quickly took my IMEI and got it set up in the system. I got a text quickly that some ATT stuff got activated (I'll be able to turn on spam blocking and such). I was able to go in after a reboot and turn on wifi calling, leaving my preference as using Mobile Network.
I made a test call and it actually used the Wifi instead of mobile, which concerned me. I disconnected from my hotspot and tried a call, and mobile network calling worked fine, though.
Agent said my preference setting should take hold within 24 hours, in any case. We also went into the dial menu and verified VoLTE was turned on:
"Open dial and Type *#*#4636#*#* Choose Phone information option from test Screen. Now you can Enable VoLTE Support Provisioned Flag. Restart your device. Now you can see 4G LTE option under Network Bar. This will activate unlimited HD Voice Calls."
It was on and grayed out, so should be active. Just surprised there was no special icon showing in status bar like my old phone had.
Everything seems to be working so I think I'm good to go. Thanks for your help guys!
edit: after getting me set up she did a hard sell to get me to use the eIMEI for another ATT account. I declined.

See my post above. Enter the code in the dialer to access the hidden menu. It will bring up a screen that shows some settings, one will be the switch for VoLTE. For me it showed on but grayed out, which apparently is the correct setting. If it shows off, that would mean you aren't provisioned for it and need help from your carrier.

*#*#4636#*#* Thanks, very nice. On my N10+/pie this is the only place were the VoLTE setting can be seen as a toggle which is on. Yay.
Oh, one other note. Wifi calling seems to be working fine, though I haven't had a chance to check its integration with Google's visual voicemail.
What I notice is that the decision to use wifi instead of mobile is kinda hair-trigger. At my home, LTE bars are low but calls always work just fine. However, now with wifi calling turned on (with preference being mobile network), the system usually decides to use wifi anyway due to low signal. I also noticed at a grocery store, where my phone auto connects to their wifi, that when I was in the back of the store (weak LTE) it switched to wifi calling mode, then switched back to regular mode in the front of the store (strong LTE signal).
So, the system is conservative and moves over to wifi pretty often rather than treating it like a last resort. I guess that is good behavior.

I have an unlocked P6 direct from Google on AT&T. I have it greyed out but on. Does that mean I need to contact AT&T?
I had never gotten wifi calling set up on anybody my previous phones, so I definitely needed to get that turned on/provisioned for my account. The rep also told me that adding my non-ATT IMEI was needed; indeed several options became available once that was done. I don't think anybody this was needed for VoLTE though.
So pat of this might just have been due to my account history.
To cap this off, I got a wifi call just now and it transcribed fine.

Not needed for VoLTE on AT&T as I can switch the sim card between my AT&T N975U1 and unlocked N975U seamlessly. However I never use wifi, tethering or more advanced features on these two devices... so no idea about that.
