Hi! My sister's xperia x is a single sim model and it's been 7 months since it was purchased and still no software updates. I check in Xpericheck the customization version of the phone (1302-3367) in F5121 version but i can't find it, instead i found it in the F5122 version. Now it seems that the model number and the customization version are not compatible that's why it cannot receive updates. I just want to ask if it is alright to flash an F5122 firmware into the F5121 model without any problem??? Below are the screenshots of my sister's phone, hope it helps in answering my question.

I have an xperia z ultra I bought off of a friend. It hasn't received the lollipop update. How do I tell if it is the gpe and if it will get lollipop? Its model number is C6806, and its software ID is C6806 R4C. It is running 4.4.4 and its software version is 14.4.A.0.108. It is carrier unlocked, and I'm currently running it on T-Mobile. Let me know if you need any more info.

It's not a GPe, it's the original US LTE model - Sony have said that the Z series will get LP in the new year

HI everybody. I live in Italy, I have the 16GB variant of Xperia M4 Aqua (E2333) bought from Amazon.fr, SIM free.
Now I'm stuck with lollipop.
Last week was released the official MM update both in France (16GB variants) both in Italy (8GB) variants (16GB variants are not sold in Italy).
I received an email with the notification of the new software release, but if I check into settings/devicesinfo/softwareupdate no ota available.
If I connect my phone to Pc, Xperia companion says "up to date", also if I check via IMEI it says i have the latest software available.
I updated my phone several times since I bought it, minor updates, I received them almost instantly after the official rollout.
It seems strange to me. Anyone else facing this problem?

Still no update, not OTA, not through companion on windows

Battery mostly > 80% (thought that some updates don't show up on low battery).
So I try to keep my xperia in optimal status to receive the update...
I've also noticed that all articles I've seen about the upgrade mention version 26.3.A.0.131, but for E2333 we need 26.3.B.0.131.

Hi im from Macedonia and i have this problem to i contacted sony support and they sad the update will arrrive for evry device at diffrent time it doesent depend on the contry or city that you live in they sad they are doing a roll out so it will arive for our phones as we get on row.

guys the only and the best solution for your problem is to flash the MM update with flashtool i will make it now
go to this link and download the model of your mobile

You are not the only one. I bought an E2333 from Amazon.fr, i live in Italy. Although in France E2333s have received update, and here in Italy 8GB versions too, i didn't saw anything...

Nope, nothing here... Sony Mobile FR says that they have released the update, but the delay isn't their fault, it depends by several factors...
We have only to wait.
Every day, twice a day I connect my phone to Pc and pray.. Uff

I have been reading forum couple days and still don't have clear understanding of situation with firmware for Z2 tablet.
I have Z2 SGP561 (locked to Verizon) and stuck with 4.4.2 (no root) and want to upgrade it to 5.1 or 6.0.1 + root
There is very good article that describes how to flash ANY firmware build for ANY Sony Xperia device

But it doesn't describe what will happen with device if I flash firmware from another model.
Can anyone explain - will I brick my SGP561 if I flash it using FTF for SGP521 (Network: GLOBAL-LTE, Version: 23.5.A.1.291 / R3D)

What will be result? Device will loose radio module? or loose some radio bands?

It should not flash as your SGP561 is a Verizon only Model. I have the SGP521 that is the unlocked world model. Verizon likes to lock down devices and I don't know if that model has the bands for other phone carriers. (The firmware for the SGP521 is going to change the band menu to look for this) you may no longer get a signal and the 521 has phone calling support that I know Verizon blocks. I would search the forums to see if a update for Verizon is around as it is never a good idea to try and mix device firmware.
So the G8342 is a dual sim.. not sure the benefit but would it be possible to flash the G8341 firmware?
How can we check which firmware we're running?
obviously 47.1.A.2.324 is latest.. but how to know if its UK, customized DE, US, etc. ?

I think you can flash G8341 firmware on G8342 but dual sim functions will not work/disapear. Not 100% sure though
For customization number do the following
Go to dialer and dial *#*#7378423#*#*
Go to service info
Go to software info and look what number is under customization version
Look up the number in xperifirm application or on the xpericheck website https://xpericheck.com/device/G8341

Because single sim OS is just not designed for dual sim..
