I'll start out by saying that I am brand new at building roms. Is there a guide on how to edit/create symlinks for android. I am using SuperR kitchen to build my rom and due to the fact that I have an AT&T Galaxy s7 I am unable to get my Nougat rom to boot. the log cat starts giving me errors once it gets to applying the symlinks. Any kind of help or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Hi guys,
Searched all over the place, maybe I'm just not using the right terminology.
I'm modding some CM stuff in framework/base/core, which means framework.jar has to be built.
If I use:
Code:
dopush mmm frameworks/base/ -j32
ART(?) needs to optimize all the apps again.
This makes developing excruciatingly slow.
Does anyone know of a way to bypass this? A nudge in the right direction is also greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Daan
(Also posted this on the cyanogenmod forums, but thought I'd extend the reach a bit : ) )
Hello all,
Ok, so I, for an unknown reason even to myself, am desperate to use the Android ICS/Jellybean bottom system bar on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I am using Android 7.0 - Nemesis ROM.
I have been trying to do this for so long, simply lacking the precise coding knowledge to do so. I have downloaded the code from the Android Developers reference website, but am having a lot of difficulty decompiling the Framework-res.apk.
I have read that the magic happens in three files:
Framework-res.apk
System.apk
Services.jar
I have downloaded prior to today a copy of these files, with the hope of swapping them with my own and then changing the DPI to turn my S6 Edge into the old tablet mode. Prior to KitKat, all I needed to do was change the DPI.
I should make it clear, my laptop at the moment is no longer working at the moment, so I would be extremely grateful if somebody, anybody with good knowledge of compiling and decompiling these files, could help me?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
William
Thanks for everybody's help.
Hello developers,
Please help me.
I am compiling Resurrection Remix Pie ROM for Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082). The build completed successfully but the ROM zip is very small in size(~45mb). So I think I'm doing something wrong. I suspect that the apps are not compiled with the ROM and I think it(the compiled zip) only has the minimum stuff. The command I issued was "brunch i9082". I read somewhere that adding full- to the make command compiles the rom with the apps included. But when I give the command "make full-rr_i9082-userdebug", "make full-i9082-userdebug" or "make full_i9082-userdebug" as well as all other combinations...(even with aosp_arm-) I always get the invalid device error.
What should I do to compile the complete ROM.
Hoping you would help me.
If you want me to attach anything or want more information...please let me know!!
With Regards,
Shamil
Come on guys.... Somebody please help me!!
