Haunted play music - Moto Z Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the offline sync of my playlist.
Even if it's finish, it continue to run.
It work like that since I've got my moto z (2 weeks ago) and before, my moto x force doesn't do that.
I don't know how to stop that !

Music Controls Not Working (LG G Watch, Nexus 5, Android L Dev Preview)

I've been using the LG G Watch for a while now and I'm really loving it. However, I noticed that the music controls don't seem to work properly.
When I play a track on my Nexus 5 via Google Play, the artwork and title appear on the watch face, but pausing / playing don't work and I can't skip or go back a track, either.
As far as I can see I'm using the latest version of the Google Play Music APK and the watch is running the latest firmware. I've also tried resetting the watch and re-syncing the apps on it.
Another thing to note is that I'm running the Android L Developer Preview - not sure if that makes any difference.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Glad I'm not the only one getting this. Google Music updated today, but the issue is still there.
Same issue here on Google Music, Pocket Casts, and Player.FM - kinda annoying!
Same here, went back to 4.4.4 as many apps were having this problem (Google Music, Google Movies, Youtube)
Same issue for the Samsung Gear Live with Nexus 5 L preview.
Same issue here, works on HTC one m8, but not on nexus 5 and 7 running L. I assume its a problem with the way L handles music controls in notifications.
Happens to me with Spotify, the notification shows up but the play/pause control doesn't work. Using a Gear Live with a Nexus 4 running CM 10.2.1 (Android 4.3). However, Spotify works perfectly for a friend using a GS4 running KitKat connected to a LG G watch.
Got mine today, running Android L preview also and having the same issue. Anyone know of a fix/update on its way perhaps?
I do know that persistent/non-cancelable notifications are not mirrored to Wear for ANY app. That's usually the type of notification used to show playback controls, but it doesn't explain why the apps that have been updated don't seem to work correctly.
I also had this problem with L installed. I've since reflashed the stock 4.4.4 image, and they work fine.
Can anyone confirm whether this issue has been fixed in L yet?
It's one of the only things keeping me from using L on my everyday phone.

It will be fixed in the full release. But the dev preview won't be updated.
I thought I was the only one. So we have to wait for the Android L official release, hopefully it won't be to long
Same for me
I have the exact same issue with my Nexus 5 and Android L preview build LPV81C. Hoping it get fixed before full release. Fingers crossed ...
I have the same problem with my G Watch and Nexus 4 (running stock 4.4.4).
Anyone found a solution?
Edit:
Not a problem anymore, it was caused by an app for controlling my headset... -_-
I have the same problem with stock Nexus5 and Samsung Gear Live
I have the notification on gear of some song and when i try to "open on phone" none happens. If i try to play nothing happens again
BUT, if i open an music app (like Google music) and tap play on wear, then spotify (and this is strange) starts to play (a song different from that reported by wear notification).
This don't happens until i don't start an music app (seem that when i start a music app something will be initialized).
I also think that the notification on wear is something of old that has been stored by wear but not updated (probably after a spotify update).
Hey guys, try Wear Music Controller in the Play Store. It should control all your music players for you!
I have the same issue with you.
same here
Recently got my moto 360, doesnt work as well. Safe to say its the L preview bug.. But so disappointing

[Q] Any one else having trouble with google play music

Running a Nexus 5 L preview. Google music is not responding on the watch. Shows it paused, playing but nothing on phone. Any one else having this issue?

[Q] Mute while playing music - Walkman - Google Play

Hi guys!
Maybe someone of you have experienced this issue and can tell me a solution.
It doesn't matter if I'm using Walkman or Google Play, sometimes the track I'm playing at that moment get mute, no sound at all.
The track keeps playing: you can see the "time pointer" going forward through the timeline, and a few seconds later (sometimes 5", or 8" or even more) the sound cames back.
If you play the track again, maybe there'll be no mute at all, or maybe there's a mute but in another point of the track.
I've thought it was a problem with the files so I deleted all mp3's and saved it again in the SD card.
The telephone is less than a month used. Stock ROM, as I've bought it to NetCom Norway and I'll be paying for it during a few months. No root, no third parties equalizer...
I've sent a message like this to Sony Support Center Norway, and I'm waiting for a response.
If they give me a solution, I'll share it here in the forum.
Thanks, and have a good day! :good:
It can be that some apps maybe are interfering with playing music.

[Q] podcast track position not saving on V10

Hi all,
I just picked up the T-Mobile variant and have not yet rooted or anything, however I am using the fix hifi dac app which a chap kindly posted on here and the play store.
I used to use the free version of podkicker however I have now purchased pocket casts. The issue I am having on my new V10 is that I will listen to a podcast for say 30minutes,then I come back to the same file later in the day to resume and both podkicker and pocket casts show the position as being 30mins in however when I hit play it aways goes back the beginning, has anyone else had this problem and know if it is unique to this phone or if there is some android issue I've not had previously?
I have searched on google and here but I have not been able to find the same issue anywhere.
Any help you can give would be appreciated!
Ps. Forgot to mention I've cleared cache and reinstalled the apps also, tried with different podcast files too!
Thanks
I have done more testing and it appears only happen with m4a files with mp3 unaffected.

Google Assistant + Play Music Bug?

Sooo, I got Assistant on my G5 and it's making me very angry. I can no longer use OK Google to play music from my Play Music library. It always just searches and plays the command as a song from the radio portion of the app. Even if I specify "Play the album ___", it looks up the album name as a song. I can even say "Play songname from library" and it ignores the "from library" portion.
Anyone else run into this? It has completely ruined my commute and hands-free driving.
Not sure if this is a bug or a very dumb decision.

It is already available in select countries (and languages) for Marshmallow and Nougat.

It's a bug. We and many other got the same problem so wait for Google to release fix via Play services or Google app.
Sorry for the thread ressurection but I have been having this issue since I bought an original pixel XL two weeks ago. My wife's pixel was also fine but last night she noticed that it would completely ignore what was in the library and attempt to stream it instead. My Nexus 6p (Oreo) did not exhibit this problem either.
This is so frustrating. Like the OP, ruins the handsfree experience. I have spoke with tech support several times but suggest I send feedback (which I have). I'm hoping others are having this issue too.
searching this site for this exact problem. no matter what device now when you say ok google play Metallica - and justice for all or any album which is in my library it automatically will play the song on youtube or the radio stations in play music (you can choose which to open in the settings)
what is going on how can we change this??
