Dear guys
As you know the xiamei is working poorly in MIUI global version for this phone.the versions publishing lately and they are full of bugs.
Some people like me is going to migrate to custom roms such as lineage or RR.but before migrating, this is a good way to find out how is those roms and what we loose or gain if we migrate?

since the thread has been closed by the MIUI 9 Rom developer, is there anybody among the developers who will continue the development of the ROM in question?

There are 2 non xda devs who are doing miui 9 patchrom roms
1St http://www.manosp.com/archives/1220
- i tested it, fex chinas store apps and one additional settings in chinase, few languages
2nd http://www.romzj.com/rom/66843.htm
- i test it it too, same performance but multilanguage, and only CN are few store like apps
Both roms doesnt have Gapps, if you were interested i can debloat it and add gapps.. this roms are patchroms.
Please, I am also a big fan of rom miui, who I consider the best with the closing date of providing me the developer link or if any other xda user will continue with the miui project
fully agree with you the MIUI is the most beautiful among the released roms.
If you can do this and open a new thread you would certainly be greatly appreciated, the MIUI rom was very popular. Currently, version 9 of the MIUI works well, but it is always possible to improve with new versions that add new features that are continuously released.
Hi friends and dear developers..
I've been in this community since many years. I've been using Sony phones and then xiaomi phones.
> I've always seen that there are most kernels developed only for Cyanogen(now Lineage) based ROMs.
I accept that Lineage based ROMS are much much better in terms of performance and fluidity, and I love many roms out there.
But I always see xiaomi users get back to MIUI one day or another, since it has it own advantages, especially looks.
So my real query is, why don't we concentrate atleast a little on kernels for MIUI roms as well??
So friends, kindly share your views and suggestions, so that developers might take a look into this.
Love you all for your valuable time and knowledge. :good::highfive:

MIUI is outdated most of us using XDA only use custom ROMs,take me for an example I used MIUI in my redmi 3s only initial 3~5 months after that when I heard xioami won't upgrade redmi 3s to nougat ,I switched to custom ROM since then I never gone back to MIUI ,heck I even forgot I'm using xiaomi device.
There is bunch of up-to-date Oreo custom ROMs available for our device,as for MIUI it only stuck in Android marshmallow with April 2017 security patch which is one year old.so do u really think developers should care about MIUI?if normal users don't want to use MIUI ,then why should developers waste their time to create kernel, which nobody gonna use? Besides kernel development for our device is generally not that great compared to santoni and other redmi devices,so yeah this my opinion on this matter,if in future xiaomi decided to upgrade all devices to up-to-date Android(which I doubt),I'm sure developers will create more kernels for MIUI,even then custom ROMs will always dominate.
As for themes, since you're not new here, you at least heard about substratum theme engine/OMS give it a try,it's better than MIUI theming.
If you really want to stick to MIUI (official or custom Marshmallow based) you can use PerXepted kernel by Nichcream : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/kernel-perxepted-16-aug-t3657329
It is excellent.

Thank you for your detailed explanation. And i totally agree with you buddy.. Except the fact that there are end users who still love MIUI (even though android version isn't updated and yes it sucks very much)..
And yes I have used substratum theme engine, its really great though

Yeah bro I have used it already.. It haven't been updated since long... And I hope it won't be updated anymore....
Because like SMR96 bro said, miui isn't updated (in terms of android version or security patch). Hence developers won't take much interest in updating kernel for an outdated ROM

It has been updated in january 2018, this is not so bad. The real problem is due to MIUI security patch level, april 2017 is not acceptable.
But sadly, nobody tried to add new security patch to MIUI.
I need suggestions from those who are using custom ROMs, What I need is a smooth ROM with good battery performance which passes Google CTS and other stuff without root, as I want to use UPI apps in India, Secondly I want it to have all the permission features like allow once or allow only while in use.
Next, it would be good if it has face-unlock. I haven't been on XDA in a year so don't know how much more development happened in this time for Poco F1 but last time I checked FaceUnlock didn't worked.
So please suggest some if you're using a custom ROM and that ROM fullfill my needs. Thanks

Reloaded OS and Paranoid Android based on Android 10. Smoothest roms you can find for poco f1. Both of them have good performance and battery backup as they are both based on caf sources. Safetynet passes by default.
Both have IR based face unlock.
ROM suggestion
I will suggest two ROMs. If you want Oxygen Os experience I am suggesting you Eutopia build and if you want AOSP based ROM I am suggesting CORVUS OS. They both have telegram channel available so if you have any query about any of the following ROM you just ask in the group so will get a solution. These both ROM don't require root permission to pass safety net.
Hi there.
So I'm planning on installing Custom Rom for this Poco X3 but I feel Overwhelmed by the number of ROMs being developed for this device. So I am trying to moderate a poll on this topic to discover the most used ROM and why someone use it.
Feel free to vote in this thread and give your comments on this topic!

Crdroid are good
Please do give your opinion on your favourited ROM if you think it is necessary
That will help the user to determine his/her choice
for me only
crdroid , pixel experience official!
ArrowOS Is the most stable one and the most optimized. Plus it's updated daily with ROM improvements & fixes.
dotos is best for me
If you want to stay away from MIUI, ArrowOS is the best choice.
I'm sick of MIUI as 12.5.1 is rebooting too often and phone calls are also failing now. What is currently the 'most stable ROM'™. I don't want to switch and then notice that the new ROM has its own annoying problems. I already wanted to switch a couple of months ago to ArrowOS and the the OSS problems started for this ROM and many others. I don't need much fancy features, it should just work (Banking, Android Auto, Bluetooth...) and ROM / security updates should be available without the need of a clean flash.
I want to share my experience with my Poco X3 NFC. I found MIUI roms are not battery friendly on this phone, so after the bootloader unlock I immediatly moved to CRDroid.
Good (great in some cases) battery, stable, smooth, with ANX Camera it's perfect.
But on the Jully last build I had random freezes after some time with screen off. Latest build don't boot, don't know why and I wanted to keep my rom and data/storage.
I've flashed StormBreaker latest kernel, and all the little things that were annoying are now gone and my phone is now perfect.
