[DEVs ONLY] Nexus Android Devs chat - Nexus 6P General

Nexus Android Devs chat room on Telegram https://t.me/joinchat/EN4xFwxZbiplftmIM-G6AQ
All Nexus device Android Developers are invited to join the Nexus Android Devs chat room on Telegram
I believe this will be useful for all of us to have open commutation among the Nexus Android Devs community.

For what it's worth, this is a channel not a group so nobody who joins can actually discuss anything.

What's the advantage of using this over XDA? XDA is a developer site, so why would you want to take the developers somewhere else?

Bummer..no nitro for us

I really dont understand why the bounty for nitro was closed....all it would do is give us more options.
Did you read kenny's post? Welcome to xda.... bounties for roms aren't allowed basically

In Forum rules:
8. Donations.
We appreciate all donations to XDA-Developers.com as it helps to keep our forum online and well maintained. As a user, you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work, however donations up front are not allowed. This forum is about sharing and not about getting paid to do something... that is what your job is for.
That is exactly what that bounty was...money to get a ROM built. However there is nothing stopping everyone from simply using the developer's DONATE button.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Imagine...we have 5,340,000 members, in there are 10's of thousands of ROM developers, now imagine every forum flooded with members trying to get their favorite developer to buy the same device they just purchased with a bounty thread. Think big picture. Now if it was for a device with a locked bootloader for a developer known to be able to crack bootloaders...that is a significant development desired goal that would benefit all users of that device and break open development.
I hope this explains XDA's policy a little better and thank you for understanding.

A Developer Needed!

I hope this is not considered as spam. I am looking for a developer ( cooker ) to develop a Rom for our tablets. Where can I find one interested in this business?

It actually is. This is not a recruitment agency. It's a development forum. It's full of people willing to help if you are trying your hand at development for mobile.
They are not just tools that you can ask for however.

Agree with you we at xda are not tools we are helpers.
Thank you both!
I never thought it is considered "offensive" if you try to hire a developer here. As I noticed most devs have "donate me" and although I understand their intention is only "help" but I believed it can be a business opportunity for some if they like...
No offense, please.
If your device is popular it will attract some developers.
As for now thread closed.

Whatsapp Group

Let me give it a fesh start.
Isn't it hard discussing about a topic via posting it on xda? That also increases the post count and also some important tips are left behind.... So i thought of making a whatsapp group of all our HTC Desire X users.... It will be easy discussing topics.... Anyone interested can pm me their phone number with their xda ID....
Thankyou...
I don't think so, its been discussed before and people are okay with it but rest aren't okay giving their number out to people they don't know. We already have Irc chat groups and alot of users here have each other on Facebook. Xda and whatever else is already enough.
This also belongs in Q&A section

As you wish sir...
I am still waiting for others...
Thankyou..

Yeah,we could do so! But as mefistoreyon said, it would definitely kill the forum,so there is no point in killing the forum!
Still interested ppl can pm me their nos...

I don't think we need a Whatsapp group. But, like @mefistoreyon already said, it's killing the forum. Besides, we already got an IRC channel on freenode if we need to discuss things directly; the logs are online as well so everyone who wants to can read all of it to stay tuned what's going on. Creating a Whatsapp group will only get a few people involved and others won't be able to join, so we would be creating groups inside groups which isn't the right way to do things together. Just my opinion.

Telegram group for Nexus 6P users

As there doesn't seem to be a (working) telegram group for xda's nexus 6p users to discuss all things regarding our device, I've decided to create my own and share it here if anybody is interested.
Feel free to talk about ROMs, kernels, bugs, apps, themes, etc etc
I'll be posting links for some ROMs I compile (for example liquid smooth) in the group as well so come check it out!

Stay on XDA there isn't an official Telegram Group

XDA has rules about sharing Telegram links for groups, only the respective OP of determinate thread can share the link for his group where he can give a more directly support for his work.
This topic is for the security of the XDA users.
We users from worldwide have many cultural/religion/ethnic differences but we all reunited here for the love of tech and software development as a fascinating hobby. That's what matters.
I, like other users , have been victims by the intolerance and racist behavior of strangers on Telegram
I was sharing a XDA link from a respected Developer here on XDA who built an impressive version of PE ROM... https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/development/rom-pixel-experience-t4071287
And with no reason one of these troll assaults me and others with hate.
These people are just haters. I am an adult imagine this happening to a teen member of XDA...
Users, just visit the respective thread official group shared by the OP on XDA...
There isn't a Official Mi 9T/K20 telegram group .
XDA Moderators can't help/reach/protect users on telegram because it is not within the bounds of the XDA site, so keep that in mind.
Stay safe, stay at home, stay on XDA DEVELOPERS...
From the Moderator oka1
To all, the OP has a good point. The Moderators in XDA Cannot do anything outside the bounds of XDA. That is why there are rules in XDA, to establish proper and respectful behavior between all our global members, Remember we all live in different parts of the world with different cultures. So it is important we are all respectful of each other and that we treat each other with understanding. That is why we always recommend setting things up and having all communication within the bounds of XDA, to continue the development and progress with our Android phones in a proper environment.
Thanks, ~~~ Oka1
