I thought of reposting this so that members in this forum may know how to apply as a Recognized Contributor. This is just a repost and some minor modification of what s.d.oconnor posted over at the General Forum
So over on the Recognized Contributors forum, it has become clear that most members of XDA don't know that you can apply for the title of Recognized Contributor (RC).
What is a Recognized Contributor?
Recognized Contributor is a role intended for members who produce some of the best original and helpful guides for users, as well as helping other users who have problems, in a friendly manner. Recognized Contributors will get a custom user title and the faster ad-free XDA template, as well as access to developer tools currently being created. Any Senior Moderator on XDA can add Recognized Contributors, should you feel deserving of this title.

How can i apply?
Well like it says in the text above, you can apply for this title by sending a PM to any Senior Moderator (list of Senior Mods below).
Best way on how to apply through Private Message (PM)
When you are writing you application to a S-Mod you will need to include:
* A polite hello
* Your username with a link to your username, they will want to check your history.
* Why you think you you would make a good RC, including a little about your time on XDA.
* Links to your work including Guides, Ref, Roms, Projects, Apps E.T.C
*A thank you for their time and good bye (Manners are free)
Note:
Please note only apply once to one S-Mod, do not send 3 aplications to 3 diffrent S-Mods. Also be patient, the S-Mods are very busy people and have other work on XDA and in personal life.
Senior Moderators List
You can find the Senior Mods HERE
If you do get accepted as a RC then please come and visit the RC's forum and help contribute to our work and cause to make XDA a better place. If you have any questions then please ask, i will or other RC's will help in anyway we can.
Good Luck with your application
P.S Don't forget to join our group made by s.d.oconnor if you get accepted.

Can anyone post a link of the stock rom for the SGH-I777 trying to help a friend out by flashing the rom to restore his phone. He allow a newbe to root hos phone and now it is brick and the Samsun Galaxy S II logo just show while his phone goes off and on....lol
You are a bad friend. Anyways look at the stickies.
Sent from my SGH-I777
It depends on which "stock ROM" you refer to? GB 2.3.4? GB 2.3.6? or ICS 4.0.x?
Either way, they should be listed in the stickies (at least for the GB versions)
Fyi.
A brick indicates that it no longer powers on or attempts to boot in any way, shape, or form. Stop using the word brick to describe a bad firmware or bootloop.

And learn how to read and search the forums while you're at it..

If you can't take time to search for the answers you want like you agreed to when you made an account here, you don't deserve to find them.

Ok first I did not casue this bootloop. It was handed this way to me from my friend. That means I do not know what was on here before. I believe if I can get 2.3 it will fix it self when it updates to 2.3.6 I have done this one time before but on a T-Mobile phone which was the SGS4G and it worked.
I have been reading the forms but each time I search for and use the words AT&T stock rom SGH-I777 I get links to rooted roms such as Cyogen mods, and others. Any Help I would be glad to receive but only if it points me to the right place.
I thought the people here were nice and kind but so far I get messages that the way I read them are calling me a dumb ass. So if you have messages like this keep them to your self and move on. I just reaching out for some help that is all.

We have stickies here in the forum for a reason. There are numerous guides and help already setup. All you have to do is read them.

This is a joke, isn't it; someone created an account with the sole purpose of p$ssing everyone off. Not a good way to start a Monday, sir.
I suppose the sticky titled "[GUIDE] How to Prepare Your Phone to Return to the Store or for Warranty Replacement" couldn't possibly have any reference to where to find a stock rom. It couldn't possibly be THAT easy and convenient.
They're the most important threads and are at the top of every section. If on tapatalk you have to enable them in settings.
Friendly Reminder.

My post wasn't even targeted towards you, so no need to get all butt hurt.
You put more effort into finding, highlighting and posting the rules than you did in your initial post.
We're all here to help, we'd just appreciate it if a little bit - just a little bit - of research went into Q&A posts. That hasn't been the case, lately.

All Nexus device Android Developers are invited to join the Nexus Android Devs chat room on Telegram
I believe this will be useful for all of us to have open commutation among the Nexus Android Devs community.
For what it's worth, this is a channel not a group so nobody who joins can actually discuss anything.
What's the advantage of using this over XDA? XDA is a developer site, so why would you want to take the developers somewhere else?
