I am currently using Lenovo P2 running on Nougat 7.0.0 rooted with PHH's Superuser.
I wanted to switch to SuperSU because Tasker does not ask for and detect any root with PHH's Superuser.
I have searched quite a bit but have only found the way to switch from SuperSU and not to SuperSU.
Unlike in SuperSU, PHH's Superuser does not have any unroot option in the settings.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
This is a module of Magisk so you can Uninstall from There

Hi guys i have a quick question about super user:
1- What's the difference between ChainsDD's Superuser and Chainfire's SuperSU?
2- Which one is better, more stable, and why?
3- I currently have ChainsDD's Superuser app installed as stated.in a thread here at XDA, but let's assume that i wanted to unistall the one i have and install Chainfire's SuperSU instead, how do i go about doing this?
Do i install it from the recovery just like i did whith my current one? And how do i even uninstall my current one?
--how do i uninstall the superuser app from my sensation 4g?--
Thanks in advanced
Hope anyone can help me here
Have a good one

for me SuperSu Better.
I believe the process for switching is install SuperSU, which will install a new, slightly different su binary. Once you have installed SuperSU (and maybe run it once), then you uninstall Superuser. If you want to switch back, install Superuser, let it change the su binary again, then uninstall SuperSU.
EDIT: And I don't know which is better, I have only used Superuser.
I used to have the supersu app but i wanted to switch to superuser to i selected the cleanup and switch to other superuser app.
I then installed superuser and attempted to update the binary which failed so i installed the binary manually through recovery.
When i use a root app i get no prompts, if i try temp unroot it doesnt work but if i install super su and install its binary, superuser and all other root apps ask supersu for root access, any help guys?

I would recommend installing SuperSU and the related su binary. From there use terminal emulator to uninstall the related SuperSU files manually, also uninstall the Superuser apk and binary so you'll have a clean slate, then lastly remove the SuperSU su binary, then uninstall the SuperSU apk. Once you have done this I would install the Superuser app (I assume you are talking about Koush's Superuser app and binary), and binary through recovery. After doing this it should allow you to use Superuser. What version of Android are you running? Also keep in mind Koush's Superuser hasn't been updated for a while, which is why for the latest version of Android SuperSU really is the best choice.
Could you give me the steps needed to remove super su and the binary

Hello,
I have a pretty generic tablet: PROSCAN PLT9602G I got for free for my kid to use. I got it rooted using Kingoroot and the root was successful.
Kingoroot installed their version Kingo SuperUser and I would like to install Chainfire's SuperSu but am having issues.
I downloaded and installed SuperSu from the play store and grant it su permission via the Kingo SuperUser app.
SuperSu then says it needs to update the binary but fails. I disabled Kingo SuperUser via settings>apps and retried to update SuperSu's binary without success.
What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

How is it better?
First of all, they are not the same thing, you can even use both.
Magisk is meant to install modules systemless, like Viper4Android, custom hostsfile (like an Adblock) even xposed and many other mods.
If you have other SU like Chainfire SuperSU or phh's Superuser, Magisk will use it. If theres no SU installed Magisk will install MagiskSU.
Magisk can also hide sistem mods from other apps, even SELinux permissive or SU, basically Magisk is like xposed but for other type of system mods and leave /system untouched, so it can be used with Google SafetyNet, Samsung KNOX or other security featured

Thank you for clarifying sir
I am bit of confused why is phh superuser is needed when you already got magisk and it's superuser n su files . Does merging phh superuser to magisk helps to support app more ..like titanium backup
