Hi!
I'm completely new to Xposed. Do I install it in TWRP like custom roms? Something more I should know?
I own A3-2016 device, custom rom based on 7.0
OK, I managed to do install it

Gave the api-24 version a shot this afternoon...
It went thusly:
Create Nandroid backup... TWRP "backing up /system... Creating fork... Backup failed. Reboot...
"Meh! Who needs a full backup anyway? I have an uninstaller and a couple of local ROMs... Letsa go!
Reboot recovery. Install Xposed Framework. Wipe dalvic/cache. Reboot!
Yay! It boots - System UI has stopped. Restart application... Nova Launcher has stopped. Restart application...
System UI has... Nova Launcher has... Restart application. System U... Nova... Re-... Syst... Nova... -start application. -em UI has... You get the idea.
Reboot TWRP: Wipe Dalvic/cache. Reboot... BZZZ! BZZZ! FC.
Reboot TWRP: Uninstall Xposed. Wipe Dalvic/cache. Reboot system... ... ... ... Boot logo... FC.
Reboot... Boot logo... Boot animation-ation-ation-ation... Etc, etc, etc...
GAAAAAARGGGHHHH!
Force reboot recovery... Factory reset... Reboo... oo... oo... ooo... No boot.
Force reboot recovery... Wipe all... Reinstall system... Reboot! Yay! Back to square negative-one already! Reinstall data... Gnnnnn... Update XDA thread! Hi, all!
I'll wait... ?

Hi, McFy. I'm on A310f, O2UK, using By Zonic/SamFR Revolution OS 3.1. I'll wait on the official Xposed Framework release, I reckon, meh, it's been long and long now, anyway. What's another indeterminate period after this wait. To be honest, I'm not really missing many of my v.23 modules for the moment, thanks to the ROM wizards here at XDA these days. Thanks to all!
*Edit: I didn't lose anything, I'm savvy enough to always make sure I'm backed up manually. Although, now that I've reinstalled from scratch, and if my TWRP allows me a full backup that I can restore in a click again, I might jump in once more tomorrow...

Yes

I won't even try it on my A3 because of the comment by rovo89 on how poorly made, and unstable this whole nougat version is.
And this shouldn't be in development as it's someone else's work. Maybe move to general?

Yes it isn't the offical developpement but I think is better to have 0.1 of xposed than 0 the last version is verry stable but the module need to be uptated to nougat
Yes probably, I don't know how to move to general.. do I need to write a new thread ?

I will report this thread to a moderator to close this, read the XDA rules please as this is NOT supposed to be in Android Development (It's supposed to be in Help or General atleast).

If I am already on SlideMe2, does this require a wipe?
I am assuming installation is basically the same...
1. Boot to recovery, run update.zip to get Clockwork
2. Install from SD > Choose zip > Update SlideM.zip
?

adb reboot was about 35 seconds from me hitting Enter and then me being able to make a phone call.
Also, 121mb free after installing all my apps back with this rom. So far so good. It was 133mb free after first boot.
it doesnt boot for me waited like 3 or 4 minutes then flashed to legend 2 slide and it booted
Root,
I notice in the OP is shows Root. Does this still require us to Root in recovery (Mount System), or does it now work within the OS?

Not sure what you're asking. As long as you have already rooted and installed the eng build, then all you need is the update.zip file, which allows you to get clockwork recovery initially by hitting "Apply update.zip", and then you can apply the SlideM.zip. I did not need to mount anything, and you certainly don't need to "re-root" if you've done that already.
Re: (ROM)(SLIDE) SlideM with a Touch of Eclair *6/21/2010*
The only thing I personally miss is facebook contact sync .. I believe because the facebook for mytouch app is not included..

I'm on SLIDEMEROOT2. If I want to remove or make changes to /System, I would have to go into clockwork recovery to mount the system then issue ADB commands (correct me if I'm wrong please LOL). I have some apps that require Root access to the system folder (Root explorer, Meta-morph too name a few) to make any changes, I know I can get into those folders within the OS but just can't make any changes. I'm really looking into themeing the Frameworks.apk but understand MTS isn't fully Rooted because of the Kernal being locked down. I was just wondering, I will just try this ROM and see what I can come up with. Thanks.
I'm really liking this ROM. It is fast. And not one FC yet Eugene will be getting a Pepsi soon.
Oddness... I tried flashing this ROM and I know it made changes due to losing sense launcher and gaining launcherpro... noticed missing stock HTC apps but no difference in free space, unresponsive SU and FC attempting to open accounts and sync

Galaxy note I717 Help Please

Hi everyone I need some help and I'll appreciate if you could spend some time and respond to my questions,I just bought a new i717 Noter from At&t and I followed to the ROOT instructions here and installed the custom ROM "Seraphim - Mesosphere - REMIX!" by Collective .
I am having following issues, I didn't have the GAPPS after I installed the ROM but I just installed the GAPPS and I downloaded some games and apps and I am getting a lot of crashes. For EX. the app Draw something was working fine when first installed but after few times using it now when I am touching to open it loads and says "Unfortunately, Draw some has stopped" , Gogle navigation crashes when I am touching "speak to destination" again app stops working. and more apps like viber...
Please give me your thoughts what I did wrong and what did I miss? can Anyone please recommend me a stable ROM to install on my i717 Note?
Thank you
Just do a factory reset and start fresh. Install gapps, then test them out. Then install your most favorite game, and test it out, etc.
To effectively troubleshoot, you have to start from a known good state, and work until you get the error.
Thank you for your reply rangercaptain.

Ranger got it ..
You have the classic signs of data corruption , from items being restored to the device from a previous rom.
As ranger said ....a fresh start should correct the issues.
And one additional item you should try...
When you get done flashing the new build and the gapps....do a "wipe data, factory reset" from within your recovery prior too your first boot cycle.
This will ensure that no old data is present upon first boot, and no older data will be written to the system or dalvik cache on boot.
Additionally , do "NOT" restore any previous apps that contain data...just download the apps fresh from the play store.....IMHO .g
Edit : we are here if you need further help, and again, welcome to XDA ....g
Thank you Greg! thanks a lot for your help guys!
Just want to make sure before doing anything , Greg you said I should do "wipe data, factory rest" , just have a question do I do that booting to recovery?. I have done something stupid I did not back up my original ROM before I installed this custom ROM, Please recommend me a good stable ROM to install .
Thanks

Factory reset is done from recovery. It wipes all installed apps and any data you accumulated. When that's completed, flash your rom.
Let it boot and settle in for several minutes, then sign into your google account.
Then go back and install gapps, then your apps from the market, and test each one.
Thanks a lot Ranger ! I will do as you said and post the results. Just a question before I do anything , you said "Let it boot and settle in for several minutes, then sign into your google account. " How do I sign in to my google account before installing GAPPS?
Thanks

This is due to a password/fingerprint being active and is a security measure but the above steps will clear them.

Yes these are full ROMs but unfortunately I do not plan to make incremental OTAs only full updates. This is for a few reasons but mainly that it's harder to maintain.

Dirty flashed the last version over a full blown H2os . boot just fine. One thing that took forever and with several reboots was updating google services. Other than that I like it a lot.

Installed Super SU v2.62, now stuck on "HONOR" screen

Hi,
I lost my root when I uninstalled magisk + superSU update wasnt working, so I went to TWRP to install superSU 2.62 again (which is the one I installed for Pure IMUI ROM when I first rooted it).
I know that it takes a while to boot after flashing superSU (around 30min), but 1:30h has passed and phone still on "HONOR" screen. The animation still going, phone simply doesnt go past that.
My phone memory is almost full, is that the reason it takes even longer?
Thank you
Don't mind anymore. No one replied to this + I got tired of waiting for the phone to boot.
