At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Honor 8 Pro's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Average for low light. Nothing really great about it.
Can't say average, but yes can take a pic. Noise interference is too much.
I am seeing really good pictures in whatsapp group but tripod is necessary to get perfect nightshot.

Hand the selfie stick to someone else and ask them to beat you unconscious with it?
Never used one, but since you had no replies, I figured I'd have a little fun. Best of luck finding something that works for you. Even though I hate the things.

I agree. I understand the occasional photo is cool, but do people really think that "friends" on social media really care seeing dozens/hundreds of photos of you (not you kronikings) smiling?

no, but its nice having a picture of yourself in a certain situation, for you to look at, as you get older, for memories of your life. that said, a selfie stick is still out of the question for me. generally, ill take a selfie using the back cam, not front, using the volume keys to shoot.
Don't take a selfie? Maybe it's just me but I cannot stand when people use a 'selfie stick' or constantly take them.
Now onto your question I would check Amazon and read the reviews to see what people say. This one has good reviews across the board:

I bought this one for a vacation to Yellowstone National Park and its very high quality! Probably the strongest selfie stick on the market!
i bought one before branded gorilla gear, and it seems has pretty good build quality.

When I was in Aruba back in June, there was a guy from Austria traveling by himself because his wife died 2 or 3 years earlier. He had a selfie stick and was taking photos because he was traveling alone. I don't see a problem with it in certain situations.
When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the honor 5X's call quality. Call quality is ok as long as the environment is not overly noisy. Handles Bluetooth well.

It is a possibility that you're experiencing difficulty hearing on calls because of your cellular service. The best way to identify this is if you're experiencing these issues in certain locations. If that's the case then we advise that you contact your cellular provider for troubleshooting steps. If this is not the case, we advise that you contact our Honor Support Team at 1-844-524-6667 for further troubleshooting steps. (ED)

Yup. The receiving capacity is somewhat low to others. I hope it is done to lessen SAR value.
Currently 5X is one among the top 10 phones with Low SAR value and Honor 8 seems to have highest SAR value.

No issues with wifi so far.
The WiFi strenght is not as good as the Nexus 6P that I previously owned. In a remote part of my house I always had a wifi connection with my 6P. With my Honor 8 Pro I have no connection in the same place.

sorry, i don't own honor8, so can't compare.
but i've owned a host of other phones and honor 8 Pro feels like the others -- as in, no complaints about the wifi range. in fact, it does feel like it could pick up signal better than some of my other phones.

Idk y they are not improving wifi range. Honor 8=honor 8 pro wifi.

I finally grabbed my v30+ Korean version. I am not sure if I have too much expectation or it's a real issue but I see so much noise while I'm taking a picture especially in low light (in house) conditions. Sunny outdoor shots have no problem but indoor pictures are worrying me, so is it me or the phone? [emoji848]

At a glance, your photos look like mine. The FFC is total garbage. Dumpster fire garbage. I come from a Lumia 950. Say what you want about windows, but those phones have a great camera. I have had to settle and adjust to my new reality. My wife still has a 950. I ask her to take the important pics. One good thing about the V30 though, it has manual settings. I would like to learn how to use manual better because amazing things can be done with this V30, then.

You should try Google Camera port. It has good HDR+ mode and Raw for post processing.

You're right, I actually spent like 5 minutes for adjusting the manual camera, and got a better result than default setting photos. But we can't spend that much time every time, note 8 and pixel 2 xl cameras are amazing, I thought V series were supposed to bring the best camera performance under every circumstances

I am on the Oreo beta program. From what I reckon. Improvement has been done when it comes to the noise in low light shots.
It might be by imagination, since I cant exactly pop the same shot twice and compare. But from recollection, I would say that it has improved.

I love the charging. The android flavor is pretty good. Camera is sufficient for my needs. Battery life has been amazing. Rooted easily with unlocked bootloader. The phone doesn't get hot like the pixel 6a did for me. Performance has been great for me.
Oh yeah, and the possibility of custom ROMs...and the price is amazing for what you get. I traded in my 8t for I think $300, which was a great deal.

I went with 10T for the newer snapdragon processor, faster charging and slightly better price.
The 10 pro has better camera supposedly. So you would have to decide, but I'm sure it's a fine phone as well.
