The Honor 8 Pro has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm one of those who feels 1080p is good enough on smartphones. So 2K is overkill. To me, it's just a bonus and nice to have.
I haven't found huge differences between this and a 1080p screen but having a 2k screen feels nice.
The colors are punchy.
Sent from my Honor 8 pro using Tapatalk
At this size FHD or 2k, well there is a difference and this screen is very sharp (and surprisingly power efficient), but FHD would be enough. This however doesn't remove the fact that this screen is excellent.
Screen is the direct point of contact with the device. If there is a better screen at this price, why would i not take it?
True FHD is the best balance between all that a typical user needs and power efficiency, this LTPS panel does a fantastic job. Everything has been put together so well.
Outdoor brightness is quite sufficient as well.

Or, despite the lower pixel density, some people actually think the GNex has a better screen.

That's cool. People can totally have preferences. I love both, i've seen both. To say one is factually better is ridiculous though. I hate blanket statements like "betters it," especially when on paper, it doesn't.

Apparently, "HD" - yes... Although thanks to the upgraded RES/DPI, they had to downgrade from the Plus' "Real Stripe" RGB display back to Pentile.
The next generation phones, after the Galaxy Nexus will then have a true upgrade to Super AMOLED HD Plus which will maintain the high RES/DPI as well a have RGB support again.

I couldn't tell if the screen was decent on the Rezound or not because I was too distracted by the red LEDs and the Sense farting up the Android experience.

I think we need a list of things that we can make factual comparisons.. you know, take the opinions out. you cant debate facts, they are what they are.
does the screen have banding - yes - fact
is the screen pixelated - yes - fact
s there a grainy look - I think this is an opinion
Whites look yellow - yes - Fact
We need more True/False things to use for comparisons

Battery life.
Battery life.
Battery life.
This is the main thing you need to test as it will be the show stopper if it cannot perform. Lovely design. Great looking phone but much less battery power - being thinner - than other similar devices. Most devices these days are coming in with well over 2000mah and even up to 3000mah on larger smart phones. This has a mere 1860mah which is a big concern. It's Lithium Polymer rather than Lithium-ion though right?
Some thorough battery tests would be awesome.
Also, can you run Antutu benchmark? Can download and run for free from play store easily. Gives a good idea on performance.
How is the Touchwiz interface. Any detectable lag? Any new features we should know about? What is the camera like?
Thanks. And when will this be available to buy and at what price in UK?

Looking for benchmarks from our new n6p. I've done antutu so far. On par with 5x. 45k ish. This is stock on the oldest/first factory image.
I realize our device does not bench great but I've been using it most of the day and it's very snappy more proof benchmarks don't mean much, but if we bench stock then unencrypted, and use custom governed we have something to compare to.
First quadrant
Geek bench
Apologies for the noob question. - but looking at the antutu benchmark screenshot, does it mean that a nexus 6 performs better than the 6p?

LCD screen is pretty good. Even though its 720p you can't actually tell but I do wish it was 1080p.
I personally prefer LCD over amoled, just feels better to touch and premium.

After having an iPhone 7 + and the Note 7, I personally prefer the AMOLED, but I prefer my backgrounds black, and to use minimal colors for the power savings of the AMOLED. But the 7+ display is really really good for an LCD, so much so that the black really looks black compared to what I am use to LCD displays looking like. The 1080 actually doesn't bother me one bit. iOS more so. Miss a few things from Android. Colors on the AMOLED always look a bit more vibrant, but the iPhone is no slouch either. And yes, the iPhone feels fast as h3ll. Actually even the 150 Moto G 4th Gen that I got from Amazon feels faster than the Note 7 in day to day use.
