Uncompress fastboot ROM of MIUI and you will find cust.img. Flash it using "fastboot flash cust cust.img" command.
Will it affect my data stored in device

Hey bro which rom are u in??
AOSP or Miui??
If Miui than download fastboot rom and flash it using mi flash.
If aosp rom, update to latest firmware and try a different rom
But the fastboot rom flashing should fix the issue.
I had this exact bug too. I'm on official LineageOS 14.1 with a kate model.
My bug went away after an update of LineageOS and I think more importantly an update of my firmware that I downloaded from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/firmware-hmnote3proglobal-t3574361
I've firmware version 8.2.1 and LineageOS 20180214-nightly. I flashed the firmware without the emmc_appsboot.mbn file.
I would suggest to flash a new firmware and see if the bug goes away.

I just bought a redmi 6a china rom device. It has the miui 9.6 china stable rom installed on it. I went to check for update it says no update available. Then i downloaded the stable china miui 10 and went to flash through recovery and it gives me a error like "Can't verify update. Rom is still in beta" although i downloaded the stable version twice. What do i do now?

Well i tried and it still says the same
Yesterday I got the same message for MIUI 10.0.12 global and I didn't want to upgrade just yet but this morning it showed message "the system updated automatically" and now its running MIUI 10 instead of 9.6 global, so far no problems whatsoever.
I have also bought Chinese version and it gets miui 10 update after following day... Now can i flash global stable version after unlocking the bootloader using mi flash tools? Anyone did that? Does it work?

But be carefull with every step
My wife recently had an update automatically.
I am currently running MIUI 10 China Stable and have a locked bootloader, I would like to install the official China Developer ROM, does anybody know how I should install it correctly?
well according to the information on MIUI forums you need an unlocked bootloader for the fastboot flash method.
https://en.miui.com/thread-4765806-1-1.html
Can't use local update to go from stable<>developer and vice versa.
You can just download the recovery rom from MIUI forum and use the updater option "Choose update package" to change to developer ROM without needing to unlock bootloader. The tablet however will need to be wiped upon flashing the new ROM.
I don't think there are any..
https://en.miui.com/thread-4765806-1-1.html
This is the latest China development rom
Right but then why would they state
Note: China Stable users, please upgrade via fastboot mode.

try to copy rom folder adress(where you extract it) from its directory than paste to miflasher adress bar.
If I have miui 11 Android 10 based and try to install latest
Indian version V10.3.5.0.PFKINXM Android 9 based, there are any steps before flashing with mi flasher? Is any risk for brick?
Anybody advise the correct method ?
I donot want mi flash as this will format internal storage
I am thinking of the recovery rom file but to wipe system and data and then to flash the global stock miui

Before flash the ROM you have to put sub folder to desktop. means when you extracted ROM it's having sub folder where is the main ROM you have to copy past that ROM(Folder) to desktop and give that path for flashing then you won't get any error.
MiFlashtool dosn't recognized folder in folder.
Enjoy

Do I need to be unlocked and have TWRP to use MiFlashTool? Or can I do it on my locked phone as well? I want to change from Indian ROM to EU ROM.
If anyone has swapped the ROM, does it have any problems? I think K20 Pro sold in Europe and China has NFC (hardware) while the India devices do not. So not sure if swapping ROMs will work on them.
