[Q][Root] Casper for Snapchat - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Gents,
Greetings,
I dont know whether I am posting in the right forum, my issue is I am trying to login with both official SC as well as Casper, there is an option in Casper that letting you use the same snapchat session (menu - use snapchat session [root]) it requires root permission, as my phone is already rooted but I still cannot use that feature, casper cannot detect that I am logged in snapchat, it is trying to find snapchat com.snapchat.android_preferences.xml which must be located at /data/data/com.snapchat.android but it fails.
The issue is that even if I used root explorer, I couldn't find that folder, while on my samsung tab this folder is available
Any assistance will be much appreciated...

[Q] INQ Cloud Touch root/o.s. problem

Hi all!
I have got a INQ Cloud Touch mobile with android 2.2.2 froyo installed on it by default.
The problem is that i can't get root permissions.. I tried almost everything i found looking on the web but nothing seems to work. Android apps like 'z4root', 'androot' or 'gingerbreak' crash or get stuck, and pc programs get stuck on 'waiting for device' even if the mobile is connected and debug mode is enabled.
I really need root permissions because this mobile has plenty of useless apps that i can't remove without.
INQ website provides only an update program that doesn't update android at all..
I think my problem has 2 solutions:
1) get root permissions
2) update android (2.3 is perfect too)
Have you got any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Root access to Nokia lumia 920

Hi,
Can anyone help me to find all the folders and files of an app I installed in my Nokia Lumia 920? This app is called "Wechat" similar to "Whatsapp" an instant messenger. I what find a contact which I deleted before. I guess it will need to get the root access of this phone. Can some one help me with this please?
Regards,
Jerry
check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dGDinlXMTo , now you can get the root access to the phone
AWESOME
sadly you need the image you flashed your phone with to root it (to NOT lose your data)
else you need to flash it with a rom, and use that image to root it. So you will lose your data.
Would Wechat backup its data if you choose to to the cloud? I dont see mine at the moment and im ready to root it. but because I updated over the air many many times, I dont have the image of the current OS offline. so rooting following the tutorials will result in me flashing over all private data

enginee auto install adware

Hi, i need help and i hope that someone here can help me, im currently infested by a virus or malware that keeps on coming back, it never stop it always install itself
and it has the capability to
1. read phone status and identity
2. location
3. modify/delete contents
4. find accounts on device
5. download files WITHOUT notification
6.retrieve running app and run at startup
7. draw over other apps
8. read sync settings
it looks very dangerous it could steal info from my phone, based on my research those who are infected by this app also receives msgs with links and it seems that the phone itself created that message and sends to itself
right now i have no idea on how to remove this problem, also rooting is impossible currently because my phone is not supported on any rooting services and i yes i tried everything, emailed them if they supports rooting my phone and they all say no.
i was able to grab a copy of the enginee app in apk format maybe someone is interested on simulating it on an emulator (im doing it right now actually)

Trying to use Kingo ROOT for Huawei Y6 to recover call history - safe?

Due to a lack of response to my thread regarding best way to root my phone to recover my accidentally deleted call log, I've decided to try out Kingo Root.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/huawei-y6-2018-atu-l11-root-recover-t4119523
Having installed it on my PC and connected the phone (enabling USB debugging etc), the software connected to its servers and downloaded relevant drivers etc to get rooting. However, it stalled at the 30% mark, so I don't think it has successfully rooted.
My main concern is whether I should have let my phone connect as I've read negative things about KingRoot / Kingo Root (I'm aware they're different - I used the latter).
Question is - have I inadvertently allowed them to transfer my photos and text messages without me knowing? Is this possible or am I being paranoid?
Looking at Network activity under Resource Monitor at the time seemed OK in that there wasn't any heavy traffic to suggest data 'sent' (that I could see).
I may be wrong but I thought this community was helpful and insightful.
Disappointingly, I don't seem to have had any comments as to:
1. How best to retrieve call history on Huawei Y6 2018 without root
2. People's opinions on the use of Kingo Root
