Help z force xt1650-02 - Moto Z Questions & Answers

Good day, I have a moto z force (xt1650-02) which does not appear in the security section the option to activate the fingerprint reader, it does not ask when restoring the phone to factory, it is currently in android 7, Verizon tool to perform a recovery and gave no solution,
my question is software or hardware problem?
I have thought of manually flashing the firmware stock, but I can not find for this specific model!
Is it possible to flash the firmware of another model like the xt1650-01 or the xt1650-03?

Moto Z bricked OEM Locked

Hello friends of XDA, I have a big problem between hands, I have a MOTO Z and I had it in android 7.0 since last year the update to andorid 7.1.1 did not arrive and I felt that with android 7 the battery was consumed very quickly, so I tried to find the update to flash it and just about 3 days ago I found it, I proceeded to download it and flash it in fastboot and adb.
The thing is that a few months ago, browsing through my phone (I had already rotated it, and unlocked the bottloader, I decided to re-block the bootloader, and remove the root, which never worked at 100) I got into the developer options, and I saw an option that until then I didn't know about its "OEM Unlock"function, as it was turned on and deactivated because I thought it didn't work.
Returning to the update flashing I proceeded as usual, with the commands, I proceed to restart the device and show the image of the boot of motrola but then it shows me a message in red letters.
"Startup Failed"
"failed to pass validation, backup to fastboot.
I thought it was a compatibility problem with the downloaded version of 7.1.1 so again I decided to flash the stock rom 7.0 but when I finished and restart the same message appeared.
I started to investigate and it seems that the OEM blockade is responsible for not being able to install any Stock Rom, or anything, and now I have a nice brick with Moto mods and I can't use it.
I wanted to unlock OEM in fastboot but nothing. sends message from "ALLOW OEM UNLOCK IN SETTINGS"
There is way to unlock the OEM from pc or fastboot without needing to be unlocked from the android settings, as in my case it is impossible for me,
I'd be very grateful for your help friends, I know it's a bit tedious to read but it's the only phone I have and I feel weird without it on the street.:bueno::bueno::llorando:
I'm with same problem here!

Try to boot in Fastboot flash twrp and flash ressurection remix rom. It's great rom. Forget about locking. I had the same problem like you as I was trying to flash stock ROM and lock bootloader.
I gave up on this.

Well, when the root didn't work properly, I flashed the phone again and blocked the bootloader. Will I still be able to install TWPR or should I lose my phone?

What do you mean with "I blocked my bootloader"?
Twrp is easy to flash. Root is integrated in ressurection remix rom. And this rom is great. Just try to flash twrp in Fastboot and than ressurection remix with twrp.
Can you boot in Fastboot?
Do you remember what build of 7.1.1 you had on your device before downgrading to 7.0?
If so, I would suggest finding that firmware (the full stock firmware, not OTA updates) or newer if you can, and try to flash that. Since your bootloader is still likely from the 7.1.1 build, a locked bootloader will only permit files matching the same patch level (i.e. from the exact same stock ROM as that bootloader patch) to boot.
If not, then unfortunately there's not a lot we can do. You could wait for a newer firmware to get leaked, but as your device is unable to boot (due to failing the bootloader checks) and you cannot toggle OEM unlocking because you cannot boot, it's a nasty vicious circle that is difficult to get out of. You may have to consider sending your device for service and pay for an expensive motherboard replacement otherwise, since Motorola have a record of your device being unlocked. Your service centre experience may vary.
Only lock a bootloader after ensuring you've flashed all the stock firmware and it is all the same patch level as your bootloader. Hopefully you'll find newer firmware that you can repair with.

I solved it, I finally flashed the stock rom to my phone and it works.
Apparently my pc was not flashing the stock rom in adb, and the phone turned off when loading the software. I did it 3 times until I load correctly and start well.
if you have the same problem apparently then OEM Blocking is not responsible. You have to flash the most current rom or the one that you had by default when the brick happened to you, you flash it in a normal way with commands of adb and ready, I would have to come back to life.
download from firmware center MotoZ Griffin the most current rom stock at 7.1.1

Thanks for your help friend, I finally flashed it with a recent android 7.1.1 update. Apparently the OEM lockout was not the culprit, but it was an interrupted flash of android 7.1.1 at some point when loading the software to the phone, it would shut down on its own and not complete the installation, which showed me the mentioned message. I didn't realize that and thought it was the OEM blockade.
I finally did it on another pc and it worked. the phone came back to life.

How do i proceed with Firmware Finder when i own a rebranded Honor 9?

Pretty straight forward question. My phone is rebranded as I bought it off Banggood. The box says STF-TL10, my settings say STF-LO9. What phone version do I choose in order to download the according firmware? Also, will this change my language settings or/and delete any files/settings from my phone? Could I mess this up? Haven't been active in flashing in a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not 100% on flashing a rebranded phone but i've read a few horror stories about failed flashing . Have you looked at https://4pda.ru/
I got some OTAs when i first bought it but it has been silent since july i think :/. Also i just checked the site and im not sure to what am i searching there
paste the link into google search and it can translate the site to whichever language you prefer

You use STF-L09 if your settings says so.
Does your settings state 6 GB ram ?
I'm in same case scenario with a STF-L09 which is in fact a STF-AL00 4GB/64GB.
Hicare can state your IMEI's are in huawei database a STF-TL10 but it does not matter for ota or anything else.
If you use FF to OTA with DNS or VPN, if it's still working, you'll have to use aproved firmware or it will just failed.
If your bootloader is already unlock download STF-L09 via FF and use HURUPDATER.
TL10 is better than ALx0
Ok so actually this happened. I tried to find an OTA through the OS without tampering with anything. After 3-4 refreshes a new update appeared around 3.2GB. I downloaded it and installed it and it worked pretty much how it should. The whole thing with the bootloader is another thing. Whenever I try to find my bootloader ID through apps it says unknown, I also missed the deadline when Huawei offered the bootloader codes, I tried the one that XDA offered got no response and now all that is left is DC phoenix or something related to that. Any tips?

Chinese Verizon s6e+(sm-g928v) with different firmware(of (sm-g928f))?

I know this phone is very old at this point. But my mom has been using this Verizon s6e+ that was bought from china (not from a official retail store) and it works on other operators! In fact, the phone itself doesn't recognize that it is a Verizon model. The about phone section says that the model number is SM-G928F, so I believed it had a ported firmware(!) and didn't give much thought into it. I didn't know Verizon phones are extra secured until 2 days ago. She upgraded to a s9+ and so I started searching for roms for this phone. I found a TWRP for the sm-928f, and tried to flash it with Odin, but that's when I git confused - the phone still has a locked bootloader. In Odin Download mode, it even says the phone model is SM-G928V.
As far as my understanding goes, it means that the Chinese folks have managed to bypass the Verizon lock, kept the bootloader intact, and installed a unlocked international firmware?
I came here to find someone more experienced on these to work on this case, i can confirm the following:
- Factory reset from phone settings reverts the phone to a new g928f; haven't tried wiping from recovery.
- most of Samsung/Verizon bloats are uninstallable just normally, but they appear again after a factory reset.
- the phone is stuck at Android 6.0.1 with TouchWiz and tapping software update from settings does nothing
Any devs interested in this case? Can this device potentially give us the solution to rooting Verizon phones?

an newbie need your advice and help!

hi all,
I have Samsung SM-G935W8 (in Canada), bought used from someone. recently, try to play with android, and realized the phone PDA was G935UUEU4BRD1, and model was SM-G935U which is different from the model that showing on back cover. think the guy flashed a different rom for this phone.
couple days ago, I did hard factory reset for no reason, and get google account locked. then search online and learning how to fix it. seems like need to flash combination rom --> use tool bypass frp --> flash official rom to solve this issues.
i downloaded many combination firmware and all failed on odin flash. until i use one that allowed me to flash and success to open the phone as Factory Binary. But, I noticed the phone model changed to SM-G935A, which is AT&T firmware. the android version is 6.0.1, when I try to run program to do FRP bypass, no luck, think that because I can't turn on OEM- Unlock option(can't find it on developer option tough)? or bootloader locked?
now, I can only flash official rom that from AT&T, and android 8 that I can find it. if the phone can be fixed FRP issues, model change to G935A is fine, I dont care that model, I dont use the phone for call, only for wifi and camera. and maybe later can play flash to other model of ROM. not sure if possible.
current, the working combination rom I flashed is PDA : G935UUCUBATA1
ADB FRP to bypass FRP (not working)
and flashed to AT&T rom PDA: G935AUCUBCTB1_G935AATTBCTB1_8.0.0
FRP still not bypassed, and stuck on google account validation screen. any advice how and what tools can bypass FRP for this phone now model is SM-G935A? thanks in advance!

Question A52 5G Factory Restore Fail

I upgraded from the A52 5G to the A53, and months later I decided I'd restore my A52 and give it to my kid. Problem. I had a swipe pattern I don't remember, and I had created a generic Google Play account as I always do per device. I did a factory restore but somehow it still wants the swipe pattern to setup the phone again.
How can I fully wipe and restore the device so it no longer needs the pattern?
Remove your device from trusted devices in the mentioned google account and try again.
If this method doesn't work, try re-flashing your device using Odin.
Where do I find the files I'll need to use Odin for the A52 5G?
More specifically, where do I find firmware for a US unlocked version that I'd like to use on AT&T. I can't see to find the right CSC...I believe it should be ATT or XMS. Will any US CSC work?
