I have a J1 (2015), 4.4 kitkat, It has been connected to my laptop, win 10, several times with no problem. Yet now it doesn't connect now. I tried connecting it to a different pc, win 7, yet the problem occurs. I tried download mode, doesn't work. the phone works fine but doesn't connect.( connects through bluetooth)
Also when i connect it says It Says "unknown usb device device descriptor failed"-"error code 43". stays for awhile and disappears
after it disapppears "asus virtual enumerator 01" appears under other devices
I tried: Updating drivers
Reseting my phone
changing usb ports
changing usb cables

This is a new issue, it used to work fine, but now, whenever I plug a USB cable into my phone and PC, nothing happens on the PC(No usb found sound) and the phone just shows that it is charging. I opened Device Manager and plugged the phone in and it did not refresh or find anything new. No Unknown Devices in DM either. Currently I am working with a Windows 7 x86 laptop.
Things I have tried:
-Different PC
-Different USB cable
-Factory Reset
-Uninstall/reinstalled HTC drivers
I dont know what the issue is, do I have a bad USB port? Any suggestions?

Hi,
When i plugged in my Samsung Galaxy SII, to either my desktop or laptop, it is saying 'USB Device not recognized'. When i click on the message it displays a message 'windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)'.
It is not getting connected to Kies on my system too. I tried reinstalling the device driver and even re-installed the Kies, even then it didn't work.
Please help me resolve this issue.

Kishore. K
USB device not recognized
The USB connector pin was the problem(though mobile is gettng charged, data is not accessible when connected to system).
After getting that changed, its working fine.
I originally posted a threat up on reddit, but I couldn't find a fix for it.
I got a Note 2 do Android development on. I for the life of me cannot get the damn phone to connect to any PC I connect it to via USB; the phone charges, just does not connect. The USB icon does not appear on the device when connected either. I tried 3 different Windows machines, with the same warning I get that the device isn't recognized, but reads it as an 'Unrecognized Device'. I have also tried OS X, does not read it as well.
Here is some of the things I've tried from reading around XDA and other forums that haven't worked for me.
Solutions i've tried with no fix:
Various USB 2.0 cables (I do not have the original cable)
USB 2.0/3.0 and other ports repeatedly.
Enabling USB Debugging
Installing Kies, and Samsung driver from their site
Resetting battery
Booting into recovery mode with device connected
Dial codes for some reason do not work on my phone. I tried entering them with the stock dialer to bring the USB settings, but they don't work. I got around it by installing an app to get the USB mode to MTP, still does not work.
Rooting right now is not option, since Odin requires to be mounted to a machine in order to root. So I'm pretty much stuck. Still can't get this phone to sync on anything.
Device info
Model: SCH-I605
Carrier: Verizon
Android version: 4.4.2 (Kit-Kat)
Stock ROM/Non-Rooted
After updating the firmware. I am unable to connect to wifi. The wifi will not even turn off. I cannot connect to my PC either. I have tried with other PCs as well and with different cables. All show same message "USB device not recognized. One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message." I have updated drivers, disabled drivers, tried different ports, restarted device, restarted PC and still no luck. My device, GT-N8010 is running android 4.4.2 and not rooted. So now i cannot flash another rom or root my device to try and fix the problems. Any suggestions?
Hi people, I'm having issue that's driving me mad. With USB debugging turned off, USB to PC connection works fine, I can tether, access my files and all that. If I try to connect with USB debugging enabled however, the USB connection just fails over and over again leading to hundreds of auto play popups on my pc and the "du dun" sound playing every second. I've tried removing all the drivers and reinstalling them to no avail.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? PC is running Win 7 x64 ultimate, phone is on latest official firmware. Thanks.
Have you tried SPflashtool?
