Probably not so much. I would more think along the lines of a kit to put sliding contacts in, not ribbon cable.
Probably external Mophie cases for it.

not sure, but have you tried it on the palm touchstone rather than the touchpad touchstone?
also... are you using a case? if so, you might have a case that's too thick

Here is another link...i have not tried it on a stone as i don't have one and they are the same thing/
the touchpad touchstone charges slightly differently than the palm and potentially it might not make the receiver not want to initiate the connection.
also, are you using a case? if so, is it thicker than 4mm?

ummm took case of to test but no luck. I hear what you are saying about the chargers but obviously this is designed to be independent of the brand but follow the same standard which all those chargers do along with the energizers etc of the world.
actually... between the three known inductive charging standards, they're not really compatible at all. Powermat claims to be providing qi support in the future but none of them currently work on the other's product.

I was trying to remove the cover quickly and I by accident removed a metal contact, as it shows on the pic. anybody knows what is that for? just for NFC? I tried to search online but found not much info on this.
thanks.

I don't think it's for NFC. I believe the one on the bottom left is for NFC. Might be wifi or something else.
I still have the metal contact, does anybody know how I can put it back? Or may be take it to a sprint store to get it fix? But I dont have insurance though.
I haven't notice any problems anyway.
Thanks for any help.

It looks like the NFC antenna. Shouldn't be much of a issue. Everything should work just fine. If you're signal goes weak or can't get lte then have it fixed it shouldn't be too hard. I could fix it at work in 5 mins.

soldering is the only way to fix this i guess right? Well if I see any future problems, I think is going to be a nice way to start learning how to solder lol.

Yes but you need a heat gun. A special heat gun or take your phone apart not something to learn on. If you can't surface mount solder already don't try you will do more damage then good. I wouldn't touch some else's phone much less mine to solder that contact. It's in a tricky and hard place to solder. I've been soldering on surface mount for 7 years and don't know if I could do it.

Lol. Then you are free of the hassle of opening and closing the port cover for charging. Sorry for the useless comment, couldn't help it.

Protip: Use AirDroid to transfer files to and from your device(s). No cables involved. A little late though, since you've already lost your port cover.

Im sure there is replacement part for that. I can almost guarantee that you will not be the only having it ripped out. Those covers look fragile. Contact Sony. Good luck. Please fill us in where u can obtain those, just in case.

Hi I'm wondering if the note has a proximity sensor? Maybe we can lock the phone using some apps when using a flip cover.
It already locks with book cover if you select "lock instantly with power key" in settings.
You can check your device's available sensors by

Do have a dialer haha.. Using the lte version. Anyway too bad we do not have a proximity sensor.
I don't see the need for a sensor like that. Magnetic covers already work out of the box. Also the light sensor could be used for stuff like covers and pockets right?

Samsung releases these covers also. It should be fine. I use the s-view cover on my S4 without troubles for some months now. I also have an IPad second gen since release with a magnetic cover. It's been on there for ages and not a single problem.
If a magnetic cover destroys the device while Samsung devices have options for these things, at least you'll get it repaired or replaced.
Any suggestions for a desk dock? I'd really like usb 3 support since charging from usb it's so slow to begin with. I checked out Amazon, but everything looked really crappy. Sync would be nice, but I'm mainly using it for charging. I'm not using any cases or covers. Thanks all!

The OEM desk dock works great for me. It doesn't sync but has USB 3.0 connections and chatted very fast. It has a stereo speaker jack too.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
I have one by victsing.com (I can't post links yet :/)
It's supposed to be able to connect via 3.0, but mine doesn't :/ that's not exactly the worst thing in the world for me. The dock itself is small and connects via a USB 3.0 cable (I just use my original samsung one) the dock also has a slot for an extra battery so you can charge a second battery while you're using your phone on it. It's a solid dock for $13ish.

With this one do you have to buy a separate back with that dock? If so where would I get one? This one looks sweet!

I just bought this Qi charger from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H5FX1WM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also I bought this charger when it was 50% off so the price was not as bad.
