Latest MIUI requirement for Custom ROMs? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I need short explanation, why we need to flash latest MIUI version in order to flash Custom rom. I've had some previous MIUI version, but I've updated OS because I'm goin to flash something Custom in next few days.
Why latest software is required, because in my understanding wiping /system when installing LOS (for example) means MIUI is completely gone?
Regards

because latest MIUI contains latest MIUI firmware for our device. ive been running the latest ResurrectionRom since 9 Months and flashed the latest firmware via twrp. so far i have never been forced to do a clean flash ... one time it was neccessary because of the universal fingerprint support.

You don't need to flash whole miui rom for flashing custom rom
Instead of that you can flash frimware only provided by psy
Search on rn3 thread
Or google it frimware kenzo psy xda on Google.....

Only lash firmware given by TheStrix as n ROM's have assert check and won't fash unless you have that firmware!

Oxygen 3.0 MM Deodexed and Debloated

Hi Guys,
As you might know the oxygen 3.0 have been released yesterday, but as usual it comes with not necessary things that can make your phone slower (bloatware).
So i have created this thread to share with you the oxygen 3.0 debloated and deodexed. THIS IS NOT MY WORK (credits goes to @Seraph08 and @SuperR., i´m just sharing it with you guys.
The link for original post is this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66117528&postcount=4636.
The link for download: https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs...ygenOS/OnePlus2_OxygenOS_v3.0_BETA-signed.zip
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 - If you are coming from stock oxygen 3-0 and have installed the twrp for h2os you can download the file and clean install as a normal rom but after that you need to manually install flash Yash's supersu zip (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297946) if you dont install this super su zip you wont be able to boot your device and it will get stucked on boot logo;
2- In other way if you are coming from the oxygen 2.2.1 or a mm based rom like cm13 or exodus (except h2os because for this you need the same twrp as this rom) you need to flash the stock oxygen 3.0 and then flash this one. The instructions for install the stock oxygen 3.0 can be found here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...s-oxygenos-3-0-0.439108/page-14#post-14683569
The information that are here in this post are from other contributors: @Naman Bhalla @Seraph08 @TaRsY @SuperR.
I am just sharing this with the community, it´s not my work.
Happy flashing,
TS

Just ask the devs. You didn't make the rom, it's not nice to share somebody's work without permissions...
And why the hell in original development??

both of your statements are incorrect.
3 users (including me) confirmed it's not booting, Seraph said Oxygen 3 is based on AOSPA
Doesn't matter, this whole thread is useless as is.
Not booting.

-.- The first post in his thread about nonbooting is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66120975&postcount=4652 this one, and Seraph does not have any post in his thread since than. So he haven't confirmed anything yet. Sorry, but you are the one who cannot read.
But also my statement needs correction, saying "this oxygenos 3.0 is basically my AOSPA but with a fingerprint scanner" means rather "this is stripped down, debloated oxygen3 rom, like it was an AOSPA 6.0 rom built by me if there were AOSPA sources" than "this is based on AOSPA".

Yes i have understood that this thread shouldn´t be here.
The question that i am making to you know is about the rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66117528&postcount=4636).
I am asking you if that rom above is just the original oxygen 3.0 frtom oneplus but without bloatware?

MIUI or CustomROM?

Hi,
You are using MIUI or CustomROM on yours Redmi Note 3(Pro)?
I'm using MIUI, but the last time I was very irritated of this rom.
I would like to know your choice.
If you use custom, say which one.
I'm using Resurrection Remix 5.74 ROM it is based on Marshmallow ......
Beanstalk 7.1 is good.
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Using rock solid stable Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 rom with Radon 2.6.5 kernel on my RN3Pro
Beanstalk 7.1
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
I'm using beanstalk 7.1
MIUI? Too much useless background service
All is working on beanstalk 7.1?

It will be nice, if camera, recording, good battery life, and a lot of custom would work on this rom /kernel.
I would like also to be stable.

camera & recording work properly for me using google cam 4.2 & custom kernel. would prefer di4mond for now due to cam will have better focus using this kernel.
customize, also work for me in latest build 20161102.
stable enough for me, but a lot of user report thats they had random reboot on latest build and revert to previous one which more stable for them.
my step
cm14 firmware + rom + micro gapss + sound mod + reboot + di4mond/agni kernel + reboot + phh super user.
CM13 official on KATE with xposed ...very happy with battery life and everything
Resurrection remix 5.7.4 official latest build. With latest agni kernel

With this many rom available, can I do dirty flash from one rom to the others?

I'm lazy, but want to try some rom.
The poco now is my everyday use, so it containquite a lot of data.
I'm with LineageOS, if I'd like to flash other roms, can I do dirty flash?
Sure why not. Just expect bootloops, random crashes and restarts or something not working like it should

You don't need unlocked BL for using Mi Flash. But you need EEA device.

So you can't install it without the invitation even if you have the zip file?
Then, EEA version is more updated than Global? Why? Is impossible to convert Global to EEA withouth unlock bootloader?
Thx!
I've tried to update to this EEA ROM via updater app and failed. It gives an error about different carrier than my current ROM, something about that.. I'm on latest Global.
