Is there any way to completely uninstall gmail. I need to use an older version of Gmail (6.x.x). I have tried many ways to remove gmail - Titanium backup, system app remover, via adb ... nothing works. Thanks for advice.
I was completely able to remove gmail with root and Tib Backup - However what FW are you running?
Latest stock firmware. Root via Magisk (I try super si too)... I uninstalled via TB. After reboot is Gmail installed.
No way??

Use Titanium Backup to either freeze the app you want or unistall it
First yu'll have to root your device. Then you can either flash a custom ROM that has uninstalled samsung bloatware or purchase titanium backup pro from the market, you'll be able to freeze or uninstall any app you want. You just have to be careful with deleting system apps since they can be important for your phone to work properly.

I would suggest you just freeze the app instead of uninstalling it. You will never know when you might need it one day!
hello guys,
i flashed my i9100 to ICS 4.0.4 UK then rooted it, i disabled some system apps thru system apps remover.
now when i try to re enable them in the default way (settings>applications>all) they are not even listed, and if i used the system app remover to re enable them again, once i exit from it automatically they disabled again.(system app remover is granted as superuser also busybox is on).
looking for help guys.
Did you uninstalled or disabled them? If disabled, I believe it's just like in Titanium Back Up. Install Titanium Back Up and see if the disabled system apps appear "frozen" if they do, click the defrost button! I just tried it and this works
When you are rooted and get to a situation where you are happy with your setup-make a nand backup.
Then use titanium and backup apps then uninstall the ones you dont like or need(being careful obviously).

Running with OnePlus one. I'm still at the ROM & Device discovery stage. Trying custom ROMs and constantly reinstalling my apps. I'm not comfortable using Cloud BackUp or Google Sync.
What I would like to do is to create a backup of My favorite apps & contacts to store on Slackware box, that I can restore onto whatever ROM I choose to try on my OnePlus one but don't know how.
Need to know will a backup using TWRP, of System, Data, Boot, Cache will Restore my Contacts and Apps?
Also, can I remove Google Calendar, and Cloud Notes from ColorOS ver 2.0.6i.US_Fun rom? If yes, how? So I'm looking at Titanium Backup Free versioin, Ultimate Backup Free, App Backup & Restore Free, Easy Backup & Restore, System app remover, Super Backup: SMS & Contacts?
Yes, I'm rooted, have TWRP installed, ADB & Fastboot, Busybox is installed, ES File manager, & Terminal Emulator. If I can achieve what I want to do with software that is installed instead of downloading more, please just tell me how. I have searched this forum and read but I still need direction.
Thank you.

Could you try copy and paste Android Folder then just click on that applications one by one.
I've recently flashed a zip with viper4android, but it didn't work for me, so I decided to uninstall it. I deleted the drivers, then rebooted. I wanted to uninstall the app, but I noticed it's installed as a system app, so I used Titanium Backup to remove it. Nothing. The app was still installed. Tried to remove it with some other powerful root apps. Still not uninstalled. I've just removed viper4android folder from /system/priv-app and it didn't work either. Is there something I can do or do I have no other choice than restoring my nandroid?
EDIT: I forgot to mention, that every time I try to uninstall viper4android, be it using titanium backup or other root app manager, it always says that the app was uninstalled succesfully, even though it's not uninstalled.

Uninstall Gmail with titanium backup or any other app. Boot to recovery mode and clear dalvik cache and reboot.
I try. After reboot gmail is back. I try via root Explorer too. I deleted folder gmail2 in /system/app but after restart folder is back.
