If you.still see Sony Ericsson logo then it can be fix by using PC Companion or flashtool.
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
If you cannot see the phone in flashtool you could also try to install the driverpack that is in the flashtool drivers folder... There are a lot of different drivers in that driverpack, including some generic ADB drivers.
(installing might take a while depending on your configuration)

did you mean fastboot mode? or flash mode?..just flash a stock rom using flash tool. . can you still turn on the phone?..or it is not responding when you try to power it up?If you can still power it up just flash a stock rom using flash tool, flash it via flash mode. not fastboot mode.
I guess you have done a wrong step..can you tell me what you have done a little more specific?
Did you try to flash FOTA on unlocked bootloader (updating official firmware over wlan)?
I had a blinking green issue and my phone is running fine again. Check this out:

You can try recheck your battery, try to flash with Flash Tool, remove your battery and wait for some minutes then try again. You may need to try using a friend's pc too

Anyways, good for you
Coming to your problem, if you haven't rooted it, how could you even think of going to recovery or connecting it in fastboot mode!!!??
It isn't possible!
Anyway, just flash the stock ftf via FlashTool. It'd be alright!
