Have a problem with my TFP, downloaded and updated to JB using this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1909819
Tried getting rid of some bloatware however i obviously deleted something important as now on play store i constantly get Server error on open. Have tried the usual fix's on here of uninstalling clearing data re installing etc all to know avail.
So i tried doing a factory reset however it did not install anything i had removed, I then tried downgrading which didn't work either, so in short have i lost google play forever, does anyone have a base JB i can use to re install everything.
Please help been tinkering for hours now to no avail.
Interestingly cant use GMAIL app either.

You don't say if you are unlocked and have a recovery?
Doing a factory reset will not bring back deleted apps as it only wipes the cache etc.
Re installing should have brought them apps back but I don't know how you are tying to re install.. Can you give a little bit more information on what I have asked please.

You will not be able to just install it. You will have to copy it into system/app folder using a file manager that has root support like es file explorer or root explorer.
Here is the file from the new JB update.

Copy the one I posted above into the system/app folder and give it permission rw-r--r-- and then restart the tablet to let it create the cache file.. See if that works.

I'm really not sure what you deleted all together but try this.
GO to settings-apps and go to "all"
Scroll down to Google play services and google play store and force stop both and clear data and cache for both.

Any reason why you can't unlock the device and install a recovery so you can install custom roms? or are you trying to keep your warranty intact ?
I'm also not sure why you can't just do part 3 of the instructions you followed in the original post to put jellybean back on again. ( then again you have edited so many files this might not be advisable.)

As you said i am trying to keep warranty in place at the moment, i thought that following section three would work as well as i only accidentally changed the files from the system when i had installed but every time i have tried it doesnt reinstall the apks that were removed.
So on my kindle i had everything installed to have the play store working and i got the play store to work and i got the youtube app to work. And so what happened was i deleted the youtube app and installed the newest version and when i opened youtube it gave me the google play services error, but the play store itself still worked.
So what i did was i uninstalled all the google account manager, google services frame work, etc.
And tried to fix the youtube issue by reinstalling all of those things. I started by installing google account manager, and then i rebooted it to install the next thing. Only, when it started up i could unlock the device, but none of the apps would load. So i did a stupid thing and factory reset it, which i think got rid of the root.
I have no idea what to do. I couldn't find any thread about this.
The notificaton bar works and the navigaton buttons show up on the side. So i can get to settings, but the carousel and home screen won't load after i unlock it
here are some pics:

Sorry, I missed that you did hard reset. without root I think i can do nothing.
Only way is update to 13.4.1..1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hdx/general/update-1314-4-1-1-probably-sangria-t2901813 (if you can go to settings) and lose root. Of course if your devices HDX 7.

Yes. but how would i install it?
you wrote ""So i can get to settings, ", what difficulties after that?
Can you get into Settings - Device - System Updates?
nevermind. so i followed the instructions and put the update into the internal storage folder but when i went into system updates on my kindle the box said "check now" instead of "update" so when i tap check now it says "last update failed".

Try to turn off wifi and reboot.
You should see that your device has found update, no more variants.
I'll try it again after school. What would I do next if I get the error again?
I have no idea. This is one variant. if tablet do not found update - this says about broken symlinks for example or something else that anyway do not fix without root.
btw check your root status:
adb shell
su

I didn't really understand any of that. What is a broken symlink? And I don't think I'm rooted because I factory reset it.
Also, how could I check root status and what would be the purpose?
Okey. You not rooted now, so do not pay attention.
Your one method to get working device is update firmware.
In way that I described.
If you do not see "update" button after pulling file - sorry. no other idea.
So basically, if this doesn't work I'm screwed?
Anyone else got any ideas?
I think I may have originally posted in the wrong area. I've morphed my Kindle Fire HD 6 from stock to 4.5.4 with working GApps, TWRP, and ADB. Silly me, I logged in with the wrong email address when I set up Google Play. Can someone point me in the right direction as how to remedy this? Thanks!

I know it's hard (impossible?) to change a Play Store account. Can't you just add your usual account? I think the store opens with whatever account you last used there, so you can always stick with just the one. If you can't have 2 accounts, first try a factory reset (Settings>Device Options), go to play store and see if it prompts you to register again. Reinstall SuperSU and run it.
Bibikalka's method will certainly give you a fresh Gapps (pico Gapps from here is fine.). Just seems a long way around to fix an account. An alternative is to uninstall Gapps, then flash the pico gapps in TWRP.
Thank you for the response! I'm most comfortable with uninstalling the Google Play Store and reflashing GAPPS. Here's what I did:
adb shell pm uninstall com.android.vending.apk
I double-checked in debloater and it was gone, so I rebooted to recovery, installed GAPPS again, Wiped Dalvik/Cache, rebooted. It upgraded, had Google Play back, made me agree to the TOS, but then it still had my original account logged in.
Can you tell me which APKs I need to remove? Because this apparently wasn't enough. Thanks!

Oh, you need to search how to uninstall gapps  You just got the play store. Need play services, framework and I don't know what else. Probably easier to uninstall with file explorer or rom toolbox. Frankly, I'd go with factory reset. I'm just not sure it'll actually work. If it does, that's easiest.
Ok. Thanks! I'll do my research tonight.

I think google account mgr is the other one you need, but pls do a search to be sure. Before uninstalling, try this: In Settings->apps'>manage all, scroll right to All and clear cache, clear data and force stop google framework, play services and acct mgr. Install play store (get latest from apkmirror), run it and see if you're prompted to sign in. If yes, good. If no, use es file explorer to uninstall the apps. They should be in system/priv-apps. es fm will prompt you to delete data. Then flash Gapps in TWRP.
I didn't something right. Here's what I did to the best of my knowledge:
Tried to clear cache/data force stop apps.
Couldn't install latest Play Store. Failed because apk already exists.
Used ES Explorer to uninstall apps.
Messed up and deleted Framework Services instead of uninstalling (ES Explorer newb error).
Uninstalled Google Acct Manager. Couldn't find any of the others to uninstall?
Flashed GAPPS in TWRP and wiped Dalvik/Cache.
My Google Play Store did not come back. =)
Is there a way to do everything over? (Go to 4.5.3, upgrade to 4.5.4, etc?
Thank you so much for your help. It's greatly appreciated.
EDIT; More specifically, I wouldn't mind doing a "Factory Reset", but I haven't found the specific instructions on here yet that will keep me from messing it up worse.

Factory reset can't hurt anything, even when everything's running fine. All it does is get rid of data. It doesn't touch root (the exploit) or any system stuff in /system. You stay on the same OS version you're on. (Settings/Device Options/Reset to Factory Defaults)
I don't think reset will help anything, but:
1. Factory reset
2. See if you got Google framework services back when you flashed Gapps.
3. See if you can install the play store apk you downloaded.
If yes, post back. If no, follow this guide to start over: http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/root-developer-preview-lollipop-os-5-t3172408 It's as step-by-step as we've got. If you want lollipop, follow the whole thing. For 4.5.4 only, just go through part B and post back. That guide says to post in other threads if problems, but you can post in that one.
Did the factory reset. Saw TWRP briefly on reboot before it rebooted again. Started on Wi-Fi screen. SuperSU popped up and asked for Root. Gave it. Now I'm stuck in Settings.
Oops. There's a lesson to be learned here. Factory reset is bad.
EDIT: I still have ADB connectivity.
EDIT 2: I guess I'll do the 5.2.0 update in the link you provided. I'm worried more about functionality than OS version. Thank you again for all of your help.

Dang! Live and learn. Well now we know what people are doing that causes "boot into settings."
First, try to reboot. You'll probably boot back to settings, but find out. Now make sure you can get into TWRP (adb reboot recovery). Lastly, go look at your original post for the fix
EDIT: @KindleFireHD6 Our posts crossed. Not sure how you're going to update. Were you able to boot to system?
Hey. I contributed! Woohoo!
Rebooted. Still prompted for language and then stuck in Settings.
Adb reboot recovery into TWRP
Should I use the original instructions to go back to 4.5.x or use the new and go to 5.2.0? Which involves the least risk?

Stick with @bibikalka's instructions for recovering from the bootloop and staying in 4.5.4. You can update to Lollipop after everything's stable and Gapps is good for you.
Yes, you did contribute. I suspect problem is factory reset from device while OTA is blocked. Thanks!
FIXED!
AND I used the correct email address when I setup Google Play this time. Funny thing is, it was all for Minecraft, which I had bought. It's showing up under All Apps, meaning it knows I've gotten it before, but it's showing that it costs $6.99 instead of just showing "Download". I wonder if there is a device limit and I reached it. Maybe 3?
Thank you again.

So I decided to manually upgrade my Google wallet app to the new Android pay which then requires a new Google play services which I installed but the problem is whenever I try to add a card it says it is unable to verify my android version. Has anyone else attempted this? I saw some people say to un-root and then try it but it didn't seem to work.

I've tried disabling root via SuperSU, clearing all data for Android Pay and Google Play Services, and resetting my DPI back to 640. None of those did the trick. I'm tempted to try flashing back to 12B and updating to 24B, installing Android Pay and adding my cards, then rooting and restoring a backup.

Actually it will work if rooted. There is a root cloak that works. There are people with root running Android Pay.
Something in the build.prop in non-factory ROMs is causing the failure.
I'm trying to get a copy of a factory build.prop for 24b so I can take a look at the differences between it and Jasmine 8.0.
A third party lockscreen is a no go.

Well, I guess I've got something new to try.
I don't know why I'm so obsessed with trying to get Android Pay running. Perhaps because I used to use Wallet before they locked it down for root users, and I missed the memo when they opened it up for rooted phones. I've tried using rootcloak and nodevicecheck. I've tried turning off root with SuperSU. I've tried clearing Android Play Services data (which then forced me to factory reset my watch). I tried setting the DPI back to 640. Same evil message everytime. Cannot be verified.
If this doesn't work, I'll probably give up for a while and wait for a fix. Preferably with a Xposed mod that removes the lockscreen restrictions. Unless I get antsy enough to do a Nandroid backup, flash a 23c KDZ, add the cards, root and restore the backup.

I wish there was a way we could consolidate our experiences across all devices. It would be helpful to know which devices and ROMs have more success than others. For example, my observation has been that stock ROMs are more successful than custom ROMS like CM 12.

Not a build.prop issue. Xposed being installed causes the issues. Must remove Xposed and hide root to add cards.

I tried to add cards before I installed Xposed, even after disabling root via SuperSU it wouldn't work.
I managed to add cards by doing the following (on JasmineROM 8.0), all of which are REQUIRED:
1. Set DPI to stock 640
2. Disable SU
3. Reboot into recovery, flash the Xposed uninstaller.

Tried those running RR. Failed again. Seeing that JasmineROM is a stock rom and RR is a CM-based rom, it supports my beliefe that Android Pay doesn't like CM.
I got it to work. Jasmine ROM 8.0.
1. Opened SuperSU app and unchecked "Enable Superuser" box on the Settings tab,
2. Rebooted,
3. Opened Android Pay app and went through the steps to add my Credit Card,
4. Opened SuperSU app and checked "Enable Superuser" box,
5. Rebooted,
6. PROFIT!!!
I do not have xposed installed, so my guess is that xposed may be the problem.
FWIW, I use Tasker and I have a Profile that when I open the Android Pay app, Tasker turns NFC on, and when I close Android Pay, NFC turns off. That works seemlessly. Only issue is that the delay in turning NFC on is a little longer than what Android Pay needs to see NFC, so I get a settings message from Pay. No biggie, I just dismiss it because by the time the message comes up, NFC has already been turned on.
I too can confirm Android Pay works on JasmineROM 8!
If I've helped, please don't forget to press the “Thanks” button!?
I read somewhere that it checks the bootloader. I have the "1003" secure boot error and I can't add cards no matter what I do regarding SU. Is this a common thread with everyone here that can't verify? Anyone know how to correct it while running CM12?

I'm running Xposed and a new cloak module developed in the last few weeks for Pay.
I also have Tasker set up to enable NFC on Pay opening.
A modified framework (Xposed), root and a ROM not based on stock all cause issues.
BTW: I'm on Jasmine 8.0.
Considering backing up my current configuration, flashing JasmineROM, adding cards, and then restore the backup.

a friend of mine has an Xperia Z3 imitation. his phone has app like netalpha, key chain and others with funny names installed. thing is, they are installed as system apps. cant uninstall them. the phone does not connect to a pc. it simply charges when plugged. tried resetting it but the apps are not erased. rooting using Kingoroot failed and phone is unusable.
Adds pop up all over the [lace and when it has mobile data or wifi turned on, it downloads and installs apps silently though i have noted that one app "com.google.keyguard" asks for install permision. any ideas???
kindly assist.
My uncle had the same infections symptoms except he got GNote3 and all i did was to use CM Security apps to remove all those nasty malware. Hope it helps.
Root the device using the following method and then remove all those apps using super su
[WARNING : I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK]
1. Download the file XperiaRoot_ALP.zip to your smartphone or computer from this link
https://yadi.sk/d/
and extract the zip file.
2. Open the folder you extracted, called XperiaRoot, and you will see an ALP folder that contains the following .apk files: Busybox, Recovery, Root, and SuperSU. A folder named XperiaRoot will be generated. If you unzipped the archive on your computer, you'll have to transfer the extracted files somewhere on your smartphone.
3. Go to your smartphone's Settings > Security menu and check the the option to install applications from Unknown sources.
4. Install the Root.apk file. Open the app and tap on the ‘Root’ button, then wait for it to root your device.
5. Install the Busybox.apk and Recovery.apk files in the same way.
6. Open the installed Recovery app and tap ‘Install Recovery’.
7. Boot into Recovery mode! First, power off your device. Then, press the Power on button, and when the LED light starts flashing, press the volume up or down buttons a couple of times. If that doesn't work, reboot, activate USB Debugging on your phone, and use Minimal ADB or ADB from the Android SDK to reboot the handset into recovery mode by typing "adb reboot recovery" inside the terminal.
8. Once you are into recovery mode, select Install and choose the SuperSU.zip file from the ALP folder.
9. Reboot your phone after flashing. You will see SuperSU app in App drawer, and the next step is to check for root access by using any Root Checker app from the Play Store.
All the best

Yes i did disable them, here is the list of the apps i disabled:
Android SystemWebview
AppManage (X2)
Avatar
BeautySnap
EmailService
Google Play Store (because it auto runs and downloads apps)
GuardService
Homescreen tips
Keychain
Kiwi
LocationServices
netalpha(x3)
org.rain.ball.update
org.snow.down.update
PhoneService
SettingService
SystemLocker
Wolf
Most of app in the list above have version numbers "1.0" or something like that, which is diff from the 4.xx on authentic apps in the phone.

it should direct you to supersu. else' try to install supersu.apk from other sources and clear its data to reset to default settings. it is x-bo right? x-bo's phone has supersu binary and it is in debug build.
Bought an dirt cheap Mi3 from a local tech forum via postage. Turned out it had a locked bootloader, not rooted and was laced with malware as system.. it was displaying ads/apps.. Fast forward.. This is how I solve my malware problem for the moment.. To temporarily CURE your device, install/sideload both Secdroid and DNS66 from fdroid/play. Firstly, turn on airplane mode, secure phone with Secdroid using its 2nd option. Lastly, start DNS66 and let it run at boot. This solved my problem and I've never seen any ad/app after. Phone's cool and data's back normal..
i had the same problem on a chinese phone, I had the "Geocode Service" trojan, anyway, I managed to disable it.
try removing the battery from the phone (if this is possible, I know the battery should be built in, but there is a connector that can be removed if you remove that black tape that covers the battery) when plugging into the PC, maybe it will enter in the correct mode

Xperia clone ? Its a Mediatek phone.
First Factory Reset... And do not connect to internet (WIFI,Data, etc)
Try to disable Netalpha. (setting-Apps..... )
Root with Kingroot or Kingoroot PC versions ( but need Debug Mode active in phone ), install Link2Sd and freeze suspicious apps (apps with two names) and try to unisntall.
Netalpha app itself install with system permission. So cannot be unistalled even with root. I instal Busybox and change permission and attributes and rm the file.
I hope helps
Sorry for my english.....
