You cannot go back to 6.0 because the bootloader is now for 7.* I would advise you to flash stock 7.0 again and follow the upgrade path to 7.1.1 found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/how-to/how-to-update-to-official-7-1-1-moto-z-t3640298
Alternatively, you could flash a custom ROM. If you use Moto Mods then you can flash Resurrection Remix with Mods support.

It looks like you did an incomplete fastboot flash.
It is a long and tedious process but here is a windows batch file that automates it:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3gcDbDvV4Mkc1JJR0J3ZWh6a3M/view?usp=drivesdk
Another solution is to flash this https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/development/rom-erfanrom-flashable-zip-t3646962 in TWRP DO FULL WIPE FIRST

I see that you are posting on the other thread. What is the truth?
You need to flash the modem file twice. For some reason it doesn't always flash properly the first time and you need to flash it again. I do recall somewhere somebody mentioning not to use batch scripts to flash as you can miss some flashing issues occasionally. As stated previously, once you are on the 7.x bootloader, there is no way to roll back unfortunately. Try reloading the full firmware through fastboot and make sure you flash the modem twice. I recently had a similar issue on a Moto X Style and I had to flash the modem twice to fix WiFi issues.
Hope this helps.

Description:
Utility to disable signature verification / unlock bootloader Lenovo K900.
Important:
Unlocking is possible only on firmware Android 4.3 (preferably the latest 1418-1419 and flashed using MFT). On already installed firmwares Android 4.2.2 or Android 4.2.1 unlock is impossible. If you have a installed firmware Android 4.2.2, you can make a nandroid backup, flash VibeROM 1418-1419 using MFT, do unlock and recover with the help of a custom nandroid recovery. If you are on Android 4.2.1 (ROW), you can try to do the same thing as with 4.2.2, but there is no guarantee that the firmware will start. If you are flashing the firmware via inb (only for Android 4.3), of a custom recovery, or via OTA update unlock remains.
Instructions for unlocking:
- Install adb / fastboot drivers for the device;
- Connect the phone via data cable to the PC;
- From the phone settings include "debugging USB";
- Run the utility and wait for its implementation. The phone will automatically restart in droidboot.

I have been waiting for this for so long!
So far I was only able to hack the kernel module signing verification before.
This will enable custom kernel. Super!

Great!!!
I guess the "Reboot EDL" feature doesn't work with Dipper, does it?
Cool.
Does it work to return full stock including original recovery? I don't want to brick my device so I better ask.

Actually the tool is able to flash a full fastboot factory image, so it will also flash the stock recovery, the problem is the arb, the tool is unable to read the arb version and if the rom can be flashed or not, so before flash it you should be sure you are flashing the right rom
For example would it work to flash Global 10.2.2 also to restore the stock recovery, or any considering that now I am rooted + twrp on custom rom? Been also on latest MIUI versions bit want to regain my stock again.

Yes the problem is not the rom but the arb, if there is not an arb problem you can flash the rom without problems
How can I find it out?
Hi everyone
I'm trying to root my pixel 4 just updated to Android 11 (September Security Patch) via Magisk.
As I recently read in XDA, there was a post about only Canary version would work for rooting my device, so I proceed to install it for patchin the boot.img from the image I downloaded from Google.
After I patched and try to install it via fastboot, my phone doesn't pass the Google icon when turning on, and only installing the original (unalterated) boot.img again solve the problem, but my objetive is root so is half solution.
I didn't find any thread about this error with Magisk, so if someone knows a reason behind this or maybe I should try something different please tell me, I need to root my phone for using Soli (my country doesn't support it).
Thanks in advance!!
SOLVED!!
Someone told me the problem was activating the canary version of Magisk on setting (I didn't know about it) Just check if the version is Canary 20424, and it should work as intended. (Patch the boot.img, install it via fastboot normally)
Can you send me your patched boot.img file? I am doing everything and I can't seem to get it rooted. Using the Magisk Canary build.

The only difference is to patch the boot.img with canary version of magisk.
Working with latest canary.
Make sure your system is stock with no magisk installed, then extract the boot img from the factory image and patch it from magisk, then flash it from fastboot with command "fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img --slot=all" and reboot
No more bootloop (since fresh install), but magisk Canary don't recognize the root. Appears N/A in the installed section
EDIT:
its works now, i flash and reflash a lot of times, at the same way, but finaly one works idk why, but I'm happy

I just want to finally try and install a custom rom into my Mi A3 which I rooted a while ago. I know I need this tool called TWRP, after encountering a myriad of errors trying to follow this guide step-by-step, I finally got to the point when I need to type "fastboot boot twrp.img" to boot into TWRP temporarily. But alas that couldn't be so easy now could it... Now I get this thing

is the bootloader unlocked ?
i think i got same message and it was because i forgot this.
I think there are better guides. Not sure what state your system is in. I would re-install the stock rom and start afresh. Unlock your bootloader, check which slot 'a' or 'b' is the current slot, and then follow the instruction of the Custom ROM you are trying to install. It might need TWRP but Lineage Recovery is equally as good.

As I said, as I am not sure what state your system is in I would suggest 're-installing' the stock rom from your PC, rather than 'restoring' an image from your phone. If you have backed up your data etc (eg on Google Drive) you can restore it after you have re-installed the stock rom. You can then start again from scratch.
The latest stock rom fastboot images can be found here
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/laurel/
Tbh I haven't restored an image from magisk myself so I can't confirm what you are proposing, though yes I switched to slot b and installed TWRP.
You might also want to read this article on A/B partitions

Try this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartpack.smartflasher
Flash TWRP installer through the app
Just a few tips when you do get to TWRP:
Disable dm-verity
Format data and wipe cache after you flash the new rom before first boot
Use a patched boot method instead of flashing magisk in TWRP on custom ROMs. High chance of soft brick.

I'm having the very same problem right now. I tried to root the device and everything worked well so far, but neither Wifi nor Bluetooth is getting activated. Changing to the other boot slot ended up in a boot loop back to fastboot.

Same problem. Everything working fine just Wi-Fi,camera,Bluetooth not working.
Which method did you use to root your device?

inbox me bro.. just now i fixed the problem
Solved the problem. Here is how I did it.
1) On a second Android phone, download the Oxygen Updater App
2) Open the app, set it to advanced settings, chose the device with the semi-bricked status, download the full zip
3) the zip file will be downloaded to sdcard's user root => transfer the zip file to your semi-bricked device
4) on your semi-bricked device, go to settings>updates, click on the top right three-point-menue and chose "local installation"
5) select the zip file and do the update
After the unpacking and verification is finished, reboot the phone and things should be back to normal.
If you want, you can now give the rooting a second try. There are a lot of tutorials, I used this one since I had the stock full rom:
Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G using Magisk [No TWRP Required]
Do you own a OnePlus Nord CE 5G android smartphone? If yes, today, we will share with you how you can Root OnePlus Nord CE 5G with the help of the Magisk
magiskapp.com
The full stock rom which is downloaded as described above needs to be extracted with the help of a script: as described here:
[LINUX][GUIDE] ROM Payload Image Dump
Now we have dumpers for Win/Mac/Linux! Great!
forum.xda-developers.com
So the steps to root the device would be
1) download the full rom as described above
2) extract the boot.img with the help of aforementioned python script
3) follow the steps as described in the tutorial linked above
I think what caused the initial issue on my side was that I simply was not on the same OS version on the device as the boot.img which I extracted from the full zip which is totally my own fault because almost every tutorial mentions it explicitly that you have to have the latest update on your to-be-rooted device AND make sure that you have the same ROM available to root your device.
Questions welcome!
