Hi
When I disable my phone's data access and after a few hours If i want to enable it,, I cant. No "E" sign shows over the status bar.
Every time when this happens to me I used to refresh my mobile network by enabling and disabling airplane mode.
I am Facing this problem from the first day when I bought my phone.....I am using Android 2.3.3 version v20c original LG official ROM with superuser only.
Please suggest..if someone has any suggestions ?
Can someone help me in this regard or its a network or a phone bug..?

This is a bug present in official GB.Airplane mode is only way to overcome this bug.

try to full the sim and put it back. also you can try to disable and then enable again via setting --> network, or something like that. have you ever considering maybe it's network fault not your 01.

The problem with using this application (Rescan Media ROOT) is to disable the use of the micro sd making it very difficult to use the camera to save photos and videos
it does not disable the use of micro sd, it disabled the media scanner
It's a problem which appeared due to Google, but there's a fix.
Just modify framework.jar as explains the following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072250

definiately not know if this can solve the problem I have not tried yet
I've seen you post link and there is a comment in which have made such application framework.jar but not if it is compatible with the ROM that I have installed
Any more help please do not know what else could be?

I'm creating this thread as an alternative to *New Threads* that aim to resolve a question.
Not only this, this thread can also become a Database kind of place where people can look if their question is already solved or not...
I request all members of the XPERIA M4 sub-forum to help and answer some questions posted here if they can.

Wifi problem
I've just bought this phone and the wifi signal is not strong enought.
With other phones the wifi signal is strong but this phone doesnt get the wifi network.
I've the european version of this phone

I have tried out MyXperia (a security program of Sony) and then, i restar my phone, it asked me to authorize by log in Google account which i had set up MyXperia before. When i tried to log in, it said "Incorrect username and/or password". Everytime i restart, i can live for 15 second and then, it locked me out. I did factory reset but it still there althought my device wiped all my data. So now, i have been locked out of my M4 and have 15 second to stay alive everytime i restart
Please anyone help me with this I bring it to Sony Center for guarantee service but they said they can didnot have anything for M4 at this time to fix this.
Please help me, i need my phone for keep in touch with people!

Have you tried logging into MyXperia from a PC , changing your password, and then logging in using the phone with the new, correct credentials?

it required to log in Google account, not the password. In MyXperia from PC i can log in, but not in my phone.

Maybe try Flashtool and re-install the firmware. That may help to wipe the protected partition?

I have the E2312 M3 Aqua Dual 8Gb it's so sad that they dont have that firmware right now
I am having moto e4plus and custom rom aosp extended.... I tried to use my hotspot and turned it on... It turned on but on the second device when it tried to connect it stuck on obtaining ip address and then failed... Tried changing dhcp to static and connected successfully but no internet access on second device(only connected)... One more thing , after setting a password on hotspot the security type was wpa2(normal) but when i again set it to none, the second device was asking for password with security type "wpe" (weird)

there must be a bug inside the rom, it's better to try another version of the custom rom. TRY Lineage OS

The rom is fine... Actually i think that after sp flashing(format all+download) something happened

yeah i think i know what happened, since you use sp flash tool and format the whole device the whole memory of the phone got erased. So on the wifi does it so nvram 0x something like that or what does it say

Yes nvram error=0×02 was given but i replaced the wifi and wifi custom files...
Now wifi connects but gets disconnected after some time and the hotspot problem that i told

Yeah, I experienced the same problem when I flashed a mtk device, honestly in my experience mtk devices easily get bricked and are harder to repair, anyways i did a bit of digging try this website and see if it works.
https://www.skyneel.com/how-to-fix-nvram-error-in-all-mediatek-devices
but be careful and remember dont flash the wrong files.

I used these files.... I told you earlier... These resolved the nvram error but hotspot is still not working
Flashed this.... The same... Wifi working but on hotspot stuck at obtaining ip and connects with static ip but no internet

Hi there,
sorry but I can't think of a reason why the hotspot not working, have you tried doing a reset and revert back to default settings. I'm still thinking that it must be a bug. okay since you already have a custom recovery, try to install an old version of asop extended, and see if the hotspot works, if it works then there is a bug on the new rom, thats all i can think of. and also did you set up APN properly on the phone that you want to share the hotspot on.

Thanku very much for the help... Can you tell me which files on android help the device to give different ipz to different devices... If we find that file i can edit... But for now i use usb tethering or sometime bluetooth tethering...

Thanks for the help bro... I will continue to find the reason bcz nobody else is having this bug... Got something on xda saying about changing the "netd" file in system/bin with the one from stock rom.... Changed it but after restart the phone crossed the boot image but the screen became black after boot so have to restore backup.. Dont know why...!!!

Hey bro... Found the culprit... It was a rom bug... I flashed ressurition remix and the hotspot worked fine... Tell me what to do now... Which file should i replace??

Hi there,
Great news, I did told you that it must be a bug since ASOP EXTENDED always release official builds that does not contain any bugs.
Anyways does your Wifi still have the NVram 0x00 something like that. If not, you don't have to replace any files. All you have to do now is set up your APN on your phone and you are good to go.

So... Changed to resscrution remix... Everything working fine... Just volume is low... Is there any way to increase it??
