I unlocked my bootloader successfully.[ After waiting for more than 2 months] I haven't flashed any kind of custom recovery neither rooted it.
Whenever I go to developer options it shows my bootloader unlocked status but at the same time OEM unlocked status got disable. And when ever I toggle it on and go back or Activate any other settings it got disable. So my question is is it suspicious?
Will it affect my system?
Can I flash the custom recovery?
What are the chance of getting my bootloader locked again?
And second question a bit off topic what if I don't flash lazy flasher and boot in to system without rooting?
And when to flash lazy flasher ?

hey everyone. trying to OEM unlock the TWRP bootloader. When I type "fastboot OEM unlock" it will reboot into TWRP bootloader, and nothing unlocks. I know this because when I type "fastboot oem device-info" it says "unlocked FALSE".
I have OEM unlock and USB debugging enabled.
This is a phone with previously successfully installed CM13, and now I'm trying to revert to stock/unrooted. I can't seem to flash the recovery at all here because I can't get the damn thing to unlock.
Any ideas?
Did you lock the bootloader ? If your flashing Roms and custom recoverys imagine its already unlocked. Bootloader won't lock itself. If you want full stock just flash any OS2 firmware with twrp. You can worry about stock recovery after. I would just leave the bootloader unlocked won't hurt anything.
I had the same issue not long ago. Finally, i used the mega unbrick guide, but warning, all the data is lost

hey, thanks for the response. I have been following the following tutorial (and others similar for installing CM13):

so yes, I originally flashed the stock recovery and replaced it with the one from the tutorial. There were a few hiccups during setup, which may have affected why I can't easily update nightly now, so now I'm trying to revert to the unrooted stock state so I can try from scratch, hopefully fixing the issues I'm seeing now. The problem is that I can't flash the recovery using the stock recovery... I can't even update the damn recovery because it's locked. Is this what is meant by a 'soft brick' ?

Have tried to find a definitive answer to this but am unsure.
Ran Lineage for a few weeks and happy but looking at getting another phone (maybe Nokia)....anyway
My question is, now I have gone back to stock and all booting nicely and is not rooted, what would happen if I relock the bootloader. If it's ok to relock is it via adb or just deselect the bootloader option in settings.
Sorry if this has been answered elsehwere. I just can't find the black and white, yes no answer.

The answer was yes. I read a lot about bootloops etc but all ok with relock for me.
In case itns of any use here is what I did.
1. Restored to stock by using the post below. Although all I did was flash boot.img, recovery.img and system.img. Let it boot then when System UI crashes hold power which restarts then select restart to stock recovery from the 5 second menu and did a factory reset.

Possible Silly Question
Do I have to erase the phones data if I re-lock the bootloader? — I suppose I would just have to make a backup, but I'm stuck between not being able to root it and not being able to re-lock the, so far, useless features of the unlocked bootloader.
Is there any way to relock the bootloader on exynos s9+? Ive tried reflashing stock via Odin but the bootloader is still unlocked and not allowing me to use android pay etc.
I know knox will be tripped but there's no reason that I can't use android pay with a non rooted phone surely? I've tried the root checker app as well and that shows that I do not have root.
When I check in developer options it says the bootloader is already unlocked and the slider is to the left for the oem unlock option. I have tried to slide it to the right which factory resets the device but then on going into developer options again it still shows as the same status (bootloader already unlocked with oem unlock slider to the left)
What can I do to get my phone properly back to stock?

Actually there is a good reason why google pay wouldn't work even if the device isn't rooted. There are Payment/banking (and other apps I am sure) require that the device be secure. With the bootloader unlocked the security on your device is severely weakened.
Did you root the phone at all, flash anything to the phone or do anything to modify it at all (something like this as an example). If there was nothing at all done to the phone other then toggling the oem unlock, then it sounds like flashing the proper firmware to the phone, unticking the oem unlock option and factory resetting the phone should work.
If knox is tripped then there is no reversing that. Google searching also shows this would be a likely cause as to why you can not relock the bootloader.. Once knox is tripped it is irreversible (this is because it is an E-fuse), not even flashing stock will not make it go away.
I think your best bet at this point might actually be to have root and then use Magisk to hide root from the apps you want to use. I'm not sure which apps this will work for but it's probably worth looking into since there may be no going back with your bootloader

EDIT : I tried with fastboot commands oem relock but it didn't work .I removed the root but still need to lock the bootlodaer
Hey, you can flash official firmware into your device and get back to the stock firmware without root. But you can't re-lock the bootloader. I have tried so many command in fastboot and any of em doesn't work.

I was able to remove the root manually so no need to reflash stock frimware,but about bootloader still not successed to lock it even via flash tool BLU option. There should be warning that you can't lock it once its unlocked damn..

Yes indeed. I've tried that too. apparently you can't relock the bootloader in newer devices. Only thing to do right now is, hope that Sony will release some kind of commands to relock the bootloader. Unless there's no other way.
