Hi!
I noticed today, while configuring my Pebble on my new Honor 9, that, when entering "Notification access" menu, you can select "Android System". Why is that? Mine was unselected. Does anyone have this option or know why we should give Android System access to our notifications?
BTW, I'm having lots of trouble receiving notifications on my Pebble. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?
Thanks!
Hi,
I have an Honor 9 and a Pebble Time and all works good, where do you have problems or errors?
Hi!
Thanks for your reply. I pair the Honor and the Pebble and it all works fine for some time until I stop receiving notifications on the Pebble. It isn't a Bluetooth issue, as the watch is still paired and sending Health info to the Pebble app on the Honor.
I think it's an issue related to the notification access, because if I unslect the access for Pebble and then select it again it works properly until it randomly stops showing notifications on the Pebble again.
Do you have any special configuration (I tried to ignore the battery optimization for Pebble app too)? And could you please check if you have the Notificatio Access selected for Android System?
Thanks a lot!
Weird mine works just fine...
It's configured like the pictures attached, hope it helps

And where do you find that 'Notificatio Access selected for Android System'?
Enviado do meu STF-L09 através de Tapatalk
Thanks for the picture The notification access menu is in Settings-Apps-Wheel (at the bottom)-Special Access-Notification access. I have Pebble checked and then "Android System" unchecked, and I don't know why.
I've tried everything but Pebble still acts weird and randomly stops showing notifications
This is what I have when accessing that Menu. Do you have it like this too? Thanks

I have both active
That's weird, my Android System option was unchecked by default. Did you check it?

not sure if it was already active or I activated myself

Thanks It worked great with a Nexus 4, Moto E and Nexus 5X. I think somehow when the phone is locked and inactive for some time (like 15 minutes) it loses the connection and I can only solve it by unchecking and checking the app notification permission for Pebble (it doesn't work just to turn off and on the Bluetooth or disconnecting and reconnecting the Pebble from the Pebble app). Thanks anyway for all your help
My Honor9 works fine with Pebble
Hi,
I have the same problem and tried several things like: reset pebble, re-pair Bluetooth but it still doesn't show any notifications. All settings seem right.
Any ideas?
Kind regards

Mine works... App Drawer / Google Settings (not settings) / Search & Now / Voice / "OK Google" Detection / check all 3 tabs.. How did u not find this?? haha
All three options are checked, but hotword detection only works when I press the power button, not when the screen is off.

Is your device rooted?
When I update and rooted my Nexus 9 for the first time, somehow, it kept the old kernel, not the "Q" one. And had some issues like lag, adaptive brightness and inability to use "listening mode".
I installed and rooted again and everything was solved, including the listening mode.

An app conflicting with Google voice?
Check everything again. Maybe you are missing something.

I tried a factory reset and it seems to be working now although it's a little inconsistent. It stops detecting when the tablet is not used for some time but a reboot fixes that.
Glad it worked.

My first Nexus 9 didnt work, but my second one which immediately updated to the newest version did work.
Inconsisten behavior here too. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. After a reboot everything seems to work just fine, but then it starts to fail here and there. Not smooth, anyway.
Inconsistent behavior with screen off. I'm on the latest R release (fresh factory image install).
mine did today, in a carry bag, while is was using the n7 while driving. this is why I want a customizable hot word I can set per device. how hard can that be.

Any new suggestions on this?
I am on 5.0.1 and "OK Google" works from locked some time after a reboot, but then it stops working and is only working when on a home screen and screen on.
Does this work properly and consistantly all the time for anyone?
There are two main things that are killing me atm...
1. If I send an email to myself on the gmail app I'll get duplicates instead of one... WHY IS THAT!?! i tried everything I can think of to stop it...
2. My phone all of a sudden started doing a audible notification when I do or don't have a network signal and it's driving me nuts... I looked everywhere in setting. I seem to remember a settings where you can shut off the notification sound off. As of now I have "notification sounds" off.
For reference I'm on 5.1.1 thanks for your help in advanced.

Can you provide screenshots it'd help me out.
Are you on stock?
Yes, stock. Not rooted.
I can take screen shots, but don't know how it will help. 2 has been sorta resolved since I left the sound off. I could've swarn i remember a setting before to toggle if you wanted an audible warning if you did or didn't have a mobile connection. The emails do it still but is more random than consistent. It will do it on wifi and mobile data. I think it has to do with sync though.

Well see if its the syncing. With a screenshot I can pinpoint the issue out right away.
That notification sound is an OS issue, while the duplicate mail issue is a Gmail issue, so I would try to maybe:
1. Clear Gmail data from Settings-> Gmail -> Clear data
2. Force a re-sync from Settings-> Accounts -> Google
3. Send yourself an email on the desktop site and see if it still happens. If it does it's a google service issue and not an app issue.
I found a fix. I'm getting a LG V10. Lol... Thanks for the help though anyways.

Same mate, restart works fine for hour or so then stops working! I am a IT technician so i can follow the updates and stuff I just didn't want to root or flash anything.
Thinking about downgrading back to Lollipop seem to work fine on that.

Hi!
I'm facing a problem with WhatsApp in my RN3 for the past 2 months.
Once in a day to few days (no logical) the WhatsApp suddenly discconting and I cannot recieve or send messages!
No logical at all!
It fixxed only after a RESTART of the device and after than - BOOM! I recieve all of the messages.
I could not find the reason for that happening.
I'm asking that only after I found out that there is another RN3 useres that suffering from the same bug.
One more thing: I'm on MIUI 8 Global.
Please - your help would be apreciated!

I cant find a way to add more details.
Cannot think on a reason scenario that cuase that problem.
From no where suddenly i get a strange feeling:
"How come i dont recieve any message for hours?"
Just dont recieve and send messages at all.
No reason...
I have 4g and Facebook or any other web site and App are working as usual.
Turning off and on the data does not solved it - ONLY restart.
Tnx.
Go to security app-permission- auto start - enable for whatsapp.
Yep - checked it already and everything is set right

Confirmed.
So I connect to my work van via Bluetooth and use Google Maps with multiple stops.
When I'm on the phone to a friend while Google Maps is running in the foreground and phone in background and I arrive at a stop, instead of being able to click "continue" and go on the the next stop, my phone automatically switches back to the ongoing phone call! I then have to switch back to Google Maps and click continue and sometimes it takes a few seconds to continue to the next stop and I notice my data shows H+ and not LTE so I'm assuming it has something to do with the data somehow dropping connection when I'm on a call and then comes back when I open Google Maps again!
Anyone else had this issue? It's really annoying when I have multiple stops and on a call!
A solution could be to enable VoLTE.

VoLTE is already enabled and it is on WiFi preferred but shouldn't be an issue because my old S10+ was on the same and had no issues with it all
You have described 2 issues. 1) after disconnecting a call, maps doesn't appear but rather the phone app. Solution: go to phone settings and change the "call display while using app" to small pop-up. 2) data switching to H+ when on call...VoLTE should solve this which apparently is already enabled and you say is not working...for this does the VoLTE logo appear on the status bar..if not, you need check with your phone company to give you VoLTE enabled sim card.

1) the call does not disconnect it is ongoing but rather when I get to the next stop on Google Maps because I have multi-stops, the phone app automatically pops back up full screen even tho in settings, it is set to small popup.
2) Yes, the VoLTE symbol is in status bar always
Edit; I'm guessing this option below "Keep calls in popup" might solve my issue?!

I wonder what that issue could be considering my VoLTE is already turned on
