Nope. Running custom Roms from the very beginning and haven't had those issues.
But once my right index entry wasn't working, but it was fixed by deleting and adding the same entry once again. There may be a bit delay (ye) when it's comes to custom Roms. You can flash custom Roms, nothing to worry.

i bought a new sgs2 couple of days ago, Amazing!
few things i want to ask :
* can i just modify my stock rom instead of flashing new one or its better to flash?
* i saw a keyboard fix here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025533
but my kernel is not supported, can i flash a different kernel [have KI4] ?
thx for help =]
You cannot modify your stock rom without rooting and flashing a new rom (you could only modify the UI with a new launcher). You can flash a new kernel but you have to root first.
My device is rooted, i used methods from furom, but used the KI4 kernels. Im really need that delay fix, disturbing always to use the backspace! Can i change kernel? and if so then to what kernel i can?

Does your NEO get some side lights (green/blue) when connected to computer?
If you get green light you can flash using wotan a custom rom and maybe the NEO get live again.
Just plug your phone disconected to the pc pressing back button and start wontan client ( wotanserver.com) and flash it back to normal firmware again.
If Neo starts it was just a matter of drivers, if not search your service in your area that maybe your Neo screen is dead.
no...phone work good on stock 42 and 62! but when I flash CM touch does not work, I flash miui, it does not work, I flash stock 42-all work well)
flash CM again...does not work...now I on stock, but wont CM)
help plz)
Have you tried downloading the custom roms again ? they may have been corrupted in the download.
I've tested some time ago CM7 with bootloader locked and found same issue because the lack of custom kernel. So, do you have flashed CM7/MIUI included custom kernel? Touchscreen, and a lot of other things, doesn't work without it.

I personally haven't flashed any custom roms because I can't unlock my bootloader but from what I have read I think a custom kernel is the answer.

Hello , my name is ahmed
I've been flashing roms and custom roms for several android devices for a year now - and I have good experience in idevices iphone ipad softwaring and jailbreaking
I always used stock rom first then flash custom rom so I can build my rom on a basic stock kernel.
Until I faced many bugging and lagging problems and some battery drain ones too !
So my question is I wanna try custom kernels I heared it helps the rom and the device for more power and cpu control
I need to know what is kernel is more deep way than just " the heart of the device " as many guides say here
I need also to know what are the best combinations between customs!
actually I do need to know more about threads I'd face if I got involved into this.
Thanks in advance
You need to search, read and test. No one can give you an exact answer and threads asking for recommendations are against the posting rules, as they can cause bad feeling.
The kernel is the layer between the rom and hardware, it contains all the drivers etc to implement the software calls. Custom kernels will allow you change things that stock won't, usually with some risk.

Thanks for the reply
But I read in some topics I have to use a specific kernel with specific rom idk why they said that . Can u help me with that ?
And I wonder , by using a kernel with note 3 on a custom rom can I still have s pen features somehow ? And detectors like air gestures ? Or its related to samsung stock touchWiz only ?
If the rom chef says to use a specific kernel then it will usually be included in the rom.
You can't use a kernel from another device, you will blow the hardware. Features can be imported as software, by the rom chef unless it needs a sensor that the s3 doesn't have.

That might be hardware fault? Did you try reflashing Miui stock rom or any Custom rom? Try flashing different roms, if the problem still exists, then get it fixed by visiting a nearby service centre.

Yep. Try reflashing MIUI.
okay so i reflashed stock rom and vibration still not working, so its a confirmed hardware fault.
I performed a TWRP installation.
Now my phone is stuck on MI.com unlocked state
any way I can do something?
same here
Never mind, I installed the AOSP rom and it finally came up. I also installed the lazy flasher which might have fixed the issue
Never mind, lets close this Thread, I fixed the issue by installing the lazy flasher, Tried OREO roms, AOSP roms, DotOne, but no luck, all roms are unstable right now.
Restored MIUI back living with high Ram usage and lots of bloatware
