Fingerprint Option Missing - Blu Pure XR Questions & Answers

I recently acquired a secondhand Pure XR off of someone for $50.It was a steal considering they only had it a week and they paid $299 on Amazon. It was bone stock untouched when I got it.The fingerprint options are missing and I know it's not a case of them fiddling with it and deleting it.Ive searched high and low for the missing apk and can't find it anywhere.Does anyone have the fingerprint apk or can tell me where to find it? Im rooted so installing via system won't be a problem.Id appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

I noticed this when I got mine, but didn't find anything definite on why it wasn't there. I did read that the fingerprint reader on The XR was glitchy and has issues. I figured since the software had been updated that they removed the fingerprint option in order to cut down on complaints.

Help changing camera module...

Hi guys, I'm a newbie and been roaming for a while. Anyway, I have a samsung galaxy s2 (international). Other week I dropped it in a bowl of acetone but surprisingly phone came back to life and works as good as new. However, when I finally tried the camera I noticed it was blurry unless focused, and even then, the focus was very temperamental so couldn't always guarantee a decent pic (and having kids you can't always wait for the Autofocus to work to take the pic as they don't stay In one place, lol). I bought a camera module but because I didn't read it properly I thought it was an official s2 module which I found out wasn't when I fitted it. Picture was a lot worse than the original one I had so put that one back in, at least I could get a decent pic WHEN it was working.
To be fair I could just buy a new phone but I love my s2 and don't want to fork out money for the same phone, I'd want a whole new phone to play with, and nothing takes my fancy.
So, anyway, partner has kept an eye out for spares and repairs s2's as at least when I get one I know it's going to be a proper camera module. Found one that's on Vodafone and won't turn on for £50 and there's a good chance the camera will work (if not will just bung on ebay again).
I know how to physically install it, but need advice on what to do regarding firmware? I know there's different modules (fuji, Sony etc...) so if the one I install is different from the one im currently using will I need to do something regarding software? You can't get the camera firmware updater anymore from the Samsung store so need help, please
Oh and phones Rooted but has stock room, if that makes any difference.

[Q] Help! Replaced R cam, won't focus now, metropcs help!

Hey, I've read about 25 threads, none of which have helped solve my problem.
I wrecked a motorcycle with the phone in my back pocket. The crash killed the lens and the camera. Everything else works. I replaced the camera and lens with one from SW-BOX.com. The camera works now but wont focus. I assumed it was a firmware issue since everything else works. Due to a 'modified' status I wasn't able to upgrade my phone for about the last year. I finally got fed up with it and figured out how to side stepped that last night('official' status now). The phone is up-to-date now. However, the camera still wont focus.
The camera isn't in macro mode and all other camera features work fine. It simply wont focus. Even if I tap & hold the screen. Also the lens is oriented properly.
I've done a hard reset and a cache wipe. Most recently I was trying to figure out what my camera's firmware was, in hopes that (maybe) it could be updated to fix the issue. But every thread I've Googled has turned up this key code, *#34 blah blah blah that doesn't work on my phone. I assume that code only works on Verizon versions of the S3. I also tried searching the system/etc/firmware/ for rm***.bin files. I can't find any relevant *.bin files or file names starting with 'rm'.
Additionally I used an anti static bracelet to do the install. I didn't alter or damage anything in the phone during the installation. No cracked ribbon cables, scratched PCB's, short circuited terminals, altered soldier joints, loose wires, mal-fitting boards, everything is seated properly - - It was a clean install. I don't know WTH else it could be. It has to be software related.
So I'm lost here.
Questions:
1. How do I figure out my current camera firmware version?
2. Anyone have an suggestions on how to fix this?
Camera is faulty, return it to the seller.

Damn it, I was really hoping that wasn't the case... I've had it for to long to return it. I'll have to buy a new one if thats whats wrong.

I'm on metropcs, the 'model number' for the phone is labeled as "SCH-R530M" This information wasn't available when I bought mine previously. And I have no idea weather it is fully releveant or not in this case. Which is also why I was attempting to see what the firmware version for the camera was.
Anyone know how to do that on my phone? Or can give me a clue as to HOW I can figure it out on my own haha? Thanks for the help!

Lock Screen Removal/Bypass?

Just curious if anyone knows of any method/software to get past the lock screen on an LG G5 (Rogers is the carrier in Canada). My little brother recently passed away (he was 29....) and we are wanting to get any pictures we can and make sure we take care of his estate/accounts. I have found the "Dr. Fone" software by wondershare but it looks super sketchy and i've yet to find any confirmed cases of anyone using it successfully to remove the lock screen on a device. It is completely stock and is still on Marshmallow (the Nougat update is pending). If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated

So sorry to hear a bout your lose. I know the pain, brother died 8 months ago And sister few years back. Rip to your brother and my siblings.
But back to your question. Did you try taken out sd card? Most stock and 3rd party cam apps go to pictures on sd. I am sure you google already. As you can see there isn't many options for lockscreen bypass.
Later on today I will test that program out for you and report results.
Bump help this guy out people. Maybe someone knows more?
Question could he call google and supply proof of relationship and death of owner. Then google would provide password? Doubt it, just curious.

Difficult to play

Recently I moved to the lemax 2 from my deceased redmi note 3 pro,
In the moment I got the device I got rid of the ****ty eui and install RR 5.8.5 on my device.
I'm pretty satisfied with this ROM, butI have only thing that bothering me.
I like to play fps games on phone and peculiarly critical ops but for that I want my device to be very responsive touch, means when I do very small gestures on the screen it doesn't recnognize them as moments but as click.
I tried to use many so called "improving response" non of them is really changing something.
I found out that there might be a something called touch slop which is the value that sopused to be the one controlling it.
Some places told it is in the build.prop but I didn't found something like it.
Does anybody have any idea what there need to be done?
did you face the same problem on EUI?
I mean, People don't like EUI and go for custom , but later on they get such problem.
I'm pretty sure It has acured there too, but even if it didn't the ROM was very laggy.
I am not even sure that most of the people will consider my problem as a problem.
The only place I find disturbing is when I play and it's really annoying.
Everywhere else I can't even feel it.
I have searched in the web I couldn't find much info about it so or it doesn't very common or no one else is bothered by it.

Question Pixel 6 fingerprint sensor calibration

Hi,
I had to replace my pixel 6 display and the fingerprint sensor with it. When I went on to calibrate the sensor with Google's calibration software, it says "Couldn't find the unique calibration software for this device" after trying to download the software. Has anyone had this issue? I would really appreciate any help on getting this fixed...
Thank you.

Have you tried this? https://www.xda-developers.com/google-pixel-6-fingerprint-sensor-calibration-tool/ You need to use Chrome to d/l this I believe.
I'm having the same issue. I've searched the forum and don't see a answer to why the software isn't downloading.
Thank you all for the replies.

I somehow got in contact with google support yesterday, but the "fingerprint scanner guy" was busy they said, and they'll contact me via email. I will post here if they give me a solution. I was wondering if flashing the factory image will solve the issue.
You ever hear back? I'm on the phone with Google and they don't even know about the fingerprint calibration software. They want to warranty my phone, but I didn't go through an authorized repair so we'll see.

I didn't get a proper response from google. However, I got a response in an iFixit forum.
"Hey Tilan, speaking as a Google Certified Technician, through the pixel repair process, there is currently issues with the finger calibration connection via Windows. So far, all of my store’s computers are not able to properly run the fingerprint calibration. The only time that I was able to make it successful was through another android phone, in this case was my Pixel 5, and another Chromebook. Got news that some other location starts to have it working on their computers, but don’t take my words for it"
I still haven't tried this though.
Having the same issue for the Pixel 6 Pro after screen replacement.
Spoke with Google Support and they mentioned that the December update should solve the issue.
Fingers crossed as I haven't received the update yet.
Hopefully it works after the update.

Same with me either.
Even the latest security patch didn't work for me.
But swapping the old fingerprint scanner from the broken screen to the new screen worked.(It did not even required calibration as it recognised the fingerprint straight away).
Just a really poor launch by Google. Buggy software everywhere.
Are there just some people's FPs that just work well with many diff kinds of phones and with both optical and ultrasonic FPS? I've used Samsung's versions, OnePlus and Google now and I never ran into any issues using their FPS.

I also tried to swap the fingerprint sensor from my old screen to my new screen now. It's a bit tricky as I wasn't able to make it perfectly centered / flat the first time, so I had a lot of issues first to get it to read. I opened it up again, cleaned the back glass for the sensor cutout, and used a heat gun to melt the glue and was able to get it centered and flat this time.
Thanks for the tip!
It feels like the calibration software isn't going to be working anytime soon, and this is the way to do it for now.
Is there really no way to get the fingerprint scanner working again after a screen repair? There must be a way....
