Which is best rom ? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hello all, I am creating this thread for choosing the best rom.
just name rom which has best battery life, performance and stable.

i have tried eui 26s by crisbalgreece, it is stock customised with many good features, good battery (<6 hrs SOT for me).
RR nougat, it has many great features and good performance too but battery drains very fast
please tell me about mokee (SOT, VOLTE, etc), AOKP, SLIM,etc

Heyyo, Battery life on stock? It's because of the super aggressive memory management. It kills apps like crazy. You could easily use Kernel Adiutor on a Nougat ROM to set up the memory clearing to do the same and get better battery life albeit notifications for said app will potentially take a hit. For me? Outlook email app never gave me notifications unless I opened the app.

Hi,
I didn't find any links available for 26s by crisbalgreece.
do you have ones ?

Best Nougat rom is imho is Slim , go try it...

I tried some custom roms and they was buggy. Then I installed stock Indian rom and it works good for me.

Which Oreo custom rom has the best battery life?

Up to now there are so many good Oreo custom roms, so i wonder which has the best battery performance. Thx.
i've used omnirom, lineage, crdroid, aex. those are good enough for use everyday. but i feel lineage is more stable than other else.

If its screen on time you are looking at with minimal idle drain, AEX 5.5. If you need some customization as well, don't look any further. AEX is the best as of now.

I am looking for good rom in battery life

You should do compare and contrast on all available roms, that is stable enough to be used as daily driver. We all don't have the same usage in daily lives, we have different apps, which is depends on the user, different battery/performance mods, kernels, power management, etc. Just try LOS, Pixel Experience, etc. and record your power usage and compare it to all and you can determine yourself which one of them is good for you.
Btw. I'm using stock MIUI cuz I don't have problems installing custom kernel, battery mods, and other tweaks.
ROM has little to do in battery life (I agree, a few ROM specific features consume more battery like AOD). It's more Kernel related.
To my experience, stock miui ROM is always the best in terms of smoothness, fluidity and stability. If you feel the battery life is not that good, just grab a custom kernel and flash it through TWRP. You can also debloat useless System apps in order to have better RAM management.
I haven't tested everything, but stock kernel and stock ROM works the best for me. Most stable, best performance, smoothest, best battery(I get 10HRs of SOT). You should re-calibrate battery if you have been flashing many different ROMS.
Thanks guys i am on stock stable miui with sphinx kernel i am happy with it but i want to to try stock aosp that why i ask
For custom rom, you can try crdroid. For me so far thisbrom with default kernel has great battery backup. Manage to get 8h ++ sot starting from 90% battery. I will test more with next battery cycle. Normal usage social media, youtube and so far not try with pubg yet

which better custom rom (miui or google roms) for redmi note 4 (snapdragon)

You cannot have the best bettery life and best speed in one ROM. It's against the laws of physics

Better go for something based on chemistry instead of physics
So try new GSI with January patch and pair it with Franco

There is nothing like "Best","Better" everything has pros n cons.
Stock miui: No bugs, Balanced battery life and average performance, but old android version (7)
Custom Miui: Nearly no bugs, old android version (7),
Better memory management, no bloatware. Balanced battery life and average performance
GSI Miui: Balanced battery life and performance, new Android version (Oreo/pie). Bus: hospot. Probably other can be fixed with patch.
Custom oreo: no bugs, very limited ROM like: Los, MOKEE, Aicp provide regular updates. Most of others stopped development because there is no bugs any more and now working on Pie development.
Pie custom ROM: Latest android Version, Good battery life and performance, few Bugs here and there... Very active development so Bugs are fixing faster. Few banking apps will not work (look for some workaround)
Sorry for my bad english.
Use what you like... It depends on user...
LineageOS 15.1 Extended by Alexey71 simply the best.
Stable , customizable, great battery life. Also frequent update.
So much love from devs.

A case of being overwhelmed by choice (ROMs, Kernels, and more)

Hi guys,
I'm a new Poco user. I've checked out the forums and saw lots of ROMs, Kernels and even Recovery software. I'm a bit overwhelmed for the first time as I'm liking stock MIUI 10 for now. Can someone enlighten me on which ROM has the most features, what ROM is the most stable, which kernels go best with which?
Stability: BaikalOS, Pixel Experience
Powersave: BaikalOS
Customizability / Extra Features: Resurrection Remix, crDroid, Havoc-OS / POSP
Performance: Nitrogen OS, crDroid
Pixel Like: Havoc-OS, Pixel Experience
These are the ones I know but haven't tested all of them. Tell me if I'm missing any.

Wow thanks. Does BaikalOS have the app cloning feature? How good is the battery life compared to MIUI 10?
best kernels
Sphinx and Franco kernel
Best roms
Lineage and stock
Stock is of course the most stable, but the beta builds always have bugs they always remove settings add settings fix something break something.

It doesn't have the app cloning and battery life is a lot better if you manage the background apps strictly but you still have to install it and test it yourself.

There is no best rom or best kernel, it all comes down to personal preference...
Lineage Pie with Franco kernel.
..and go with pixel experience only if u r into very stock version which I think is overrated given its customization limitations.
I have always hated chinese ROMs or apps, take MIUI for example they have like hundreds of apps injected into core system (miui security, miui contacts, miui dialer, miui messaging, miui this that and what not...)

Do you know if Lineage OS has the signal issue fixed on it? I only really moved away from it because of that. Im on crDroid and my signal is much better now

Hi fellow Flip! Yeah I went with Ambasidii rom based on stock MIUI since I need the cloned app feature for ROM (Slave priest). It's rooted and has derp kernel. Battery life is quite a lot better. I was redownloading all my apps overnight and it only drained about 7% of battery life which is 1% more than full stock on idle without WiFi.
By the way, do you do a battery recalibration once you switch roms? Standby time is fantastic on mine but it seems to drain a little harder while playing ROM compared to stock.

There's no need to recalibrated when switching roms. Recommended calibrating your battery ( each month or every three months )
android phones this days use lithium-ion (Li-ion) or lithium-polymer (Li-po) batteries for Poco F1 . This batteries don’t need to be fully discharged, and come with smart chips that make calibration unnecessary and that's the good thing for us.
Just want to share this method , i do this all the time after switching custom roms.
First, drain your phone’s battery completely. Don’t charge it at any point while it’s draining. Let the phone keep working till it shuts itself off. Once the phone has shut itself off, restart it so it shuts off again. Even though the battery was at 0 percent, it has a few reserves left. Now, while the phone is off, charge it to 100 percent. It’s safe to use quick chargers for this, but make sure you hit 100 percent. Once it’s fully charged, unplug it and boot your phone. Android might not say it’s at 100 percent, and that’s okay. In that case, plug the charger again and let it get to 100 percent. then unplug it. This cycle of full drain and recharging lets the chip calibrate its readings with the battery’s charge cycle.
hope that helps:good:

Best Custom ROM suggestion required for least standby battery drain

Kindly suggest me best ROM that give me best battery life + least standby battery drain.
I am not gamer so speed is not issue but there must be no lag in mobile.
Thanks & regards

Try Paranoid Android. It is based on CAF so you will get best battery life and performance. Else you can try Reloaded OS.
ROM suggestion
If you want best battery backup ROM there are two ROMs which gives at least me best battery backup. First one is Oneplus port ROM specifically euphoria build it has great battery backup and the other one is AOSP based Corvus os. Corvus os has more customizations. Both ROM passes safety net without root permission.
If battery life is only thing you're after then probably LineageOS because its the ROM with least features so less chance of battery drain. Limited features also makes it most stable custom rom available in my experience.
Only downsides are safetynet and lack of features suchas as IR face unlock, scrolling screenshot etc.
