Try Paranoid Android. It is based on CAF so you will get best battery life and performance. Else you can try Reloaded OS.

ROM suggestion
If you want best battery backup ROM there are two ROMs which gives at least me best battery backup. First one is Oneplus port ROM specifically euphoria build it has great battery backup and the other one is AOSP based Corvus os. Corvus os has more customizations. Both ROM passes safety net without root permission.

If battery life is only thing you're after then probably LineageOS because its the ROM with least features so less chance of battery drain. Limited features also makes it most stable custom rom available in my experience.
Only downsides are safetynet and lack of features suchas as IR face unlock, scrolling screenshot etc.

Battery life in different roms

Any suggestions how to keep battery life longer with roms higher then 4.1.2? Every time i flash rom like cm kitkat, paranoid 3+ or higher my battery life sucks (battery life to 5 hours). And with 4.1.2 roms battery life is just awesome (about a day).
Sorry for bad english.

The reason why battery life is noticeably worse on kitkat is because of the lack of drivers available for or device. It isn't well optimised for our device and as a consequence, battery life is lost. If you absolutely want the best features (in kitkat) and want reasonable battery life, look for roms that have been built to be as close to aosp sources. That is look at rom like slimkat or neatrom aosp as they seem to have the least bloat ware and are running on the latest version of kitkat.

And how about kernels? Do they have any impact on battery life?

Kernels can provide driver updates to the graphics therefore there may be better performance in games. Most custom kernels allow the user to undervolt their cpu (and sometimes gpu) therefore accounting to battery savings. So yes, if tuned properly (sometimes if custom kernel settings are left to the defaults), there may be a slight improvement to battery life. As I said before, I can only recommend to you aosp roms such as neatrom or slim saber rom if you want minimal battery drain.

Which is best rom ?

Hello all, I am creating this thread for choosing the best rom.
just name rom which has best battery life, performance and stable.
i have tried eui 26s by crisbalgreece, it is stock customised with many good features, good battery (<6 hrs SOT for me).
RR nougat, it has many great features and good performance too but battery drains very fast
please tell me about mokee (SOT, VOLTE, etc), AOKP, SLIM,etc

Heyyo, Battery life on stock? It's because of the super aggressive memory management. It kills apps like crazy. You could easily use Kernel Adiutor on a Nougat ROM to set up the memory clearing to do the same and get better battery life albeit notifications for said app will potentially take a hit. For me? Outlook email app never gave me notifications unless I opened the app.
Hi,
I didn't find any links available for 26s by crisbalgreece.
do you have ones ?
Best Nougat rom is imho is Slim , go try it...
I tried some custom roms and they was buggy. Then I installed stock Indian rom and it works good for me.

I am looking for good rom in battery life

You should do compare and contrast on all available roms, that is stable enough to be used as daily driver. We all don't have the same usage in daily lives, we have different apps, which is depends on the user, different battery/performance mods, kernels, power management, etc. Just try LOS, Pixel Experience, etc. and record your power usage and compare it to all and you can determine yourself which one of them is good for you.
Btw. I'm using stock MIUI cuz I don't have problems installing custom kernel, battery mods, and other tweaks.
ROM has little to do in battery life (I agree, a few ROM specific features consume more battery like AOD). It's more Kernel related.
To my experience, stock miui ROM is always the best in terms of smoothness, fluidity and stability. If you feel the battery life is not that good, just grab a custom kernel and flash it through TWRP. You can also debloat useless System apps in order to have better RAM management.
I haven't tested everything, but stock kernel and stock ROM works the best for me. Most stable, best performance, smoothest, best battery(I get 10HRs of SOT). You should re-calibrate battery if you have been flashing many different ROMS.
Thanks guys i am on stock stable miui with sphinx kernel i am happy with it but i want to to try stock aosp that why i ask
For custom rom, you can try crdroid. For me so far thisbrom with default kernel has great battery backup. Manage to get 8h ++ sot starting from 90% battery. I will test more with next battery cycle. Normal usage social media, youtube and so far not try with pubg yet

A case of being overwhelmed by choice (ROMs, Kernels, and more)

Hi guys,
I'm a new Poco user. I've checked out the forums and saw lots of ROMs, Kernels and even Recovery software. I'm a bit overwhelmed for the first time as I'm liking stock MIUI 10 for now. Can someone enlighten me on which ROM has the most features, what ROM is the most stable, which kernels go best with which?
Stability: BaikalOS, Pixel Experience
Powersave: BaikalOS
Customizability / Extra Features: Resurrection Remix, crDroid, Havoc-OS / POSP
Performance: Nitrogen OS, crDroid
Pixel Like: Havoc-OS, Pixel Experience
These are the ones I know but haven't tested all of them. Tell me if I'm missing any.

Wow thanks. Does BaikalOS have the app cloning feature? How good is the battery life compared to MIUI 10?
best kernels
Sphinx and Franco kernel
Best roms
Lineage and stock
Stock is of course the most stable, but the beta builds always have bugs they always remove settings add settings fix something break something.

It doesn't have the app cloning and battery life is a lot better if you manage the background apps strictly but you still have to install it and test it yourself.

There is no best rom or best kernel, it all comes down to personal preference...
Lineage Pie with Franco kernel.
..and go with pixel experience only if u r into very stock version which I think is overrated given its customization limitations.
I have always hated chinese ROMs or apps, take MIUI for example they have like hundreds of apps injected into core system (miui security, miui contacts, miui dialer, miui messaging, miui this that and what not...)

Do you know if Lineage OS has the signal issue fixed on it? I only really moved away from it because of that. Im on crDroid and my signal is much better now

Hi fellow Flip! Yeah I went with Ambasidii rom based on stock MIUI since I need the cloned app feature for ROM (Slave priest). It's rooted and has derp kernel. Battery life is quite a lot better. I was redownloading all my apps overnight and it only drained about 7% of battery life which is 1% more than full stock on idle without WiFi.
By the way, do you do a battery recalibration once you switch roms? Standby time is fantastic on mine but it seems to drain a little harder while playing ROM compared to stock.

There's no need to recalibrated when switching roms. Recommended calibrating your battery ( each month or every three months )
android phones this days use lithium-ion (Li-ion) or lithium-polymer (Li-po) batteries for Poco F1 . This batteries don’t need to be fully discharged, and come with smart chips that make calibration unnecessary and that's the good thing for us.
Just want to share this method , i do this all the time after switching custom roms.
First, drain your phone’s battery completely. Don’t charge it at any point while it’s draining. Let the phone keep working till it shuts itself off. Once the phone has shut itself off, restart it so it shuts off again. Even though the battery was at 0 percent, it has a few reserves left. Now, while the phone is off, charge it to 100 percent. It’s safe to use quick chargers for this, but make sure you hit 100 percent. Once it’s fully charged, unplug it and boot your phone. Android might not say it’s at 100 percent, and that’s okay. In that case, plug the charger again and let it get to 100 percent. then unplug it. This cycle of full drain and recharging lets the chip calibrate its readings with the battery’s charge cycle.
hope that helps:good:

What signal issue exactly? I'm trying Lineage at the moment and using Derp Kernel.

What's the best rom and kernel for best performance, best battery life and bugless from your experience ?
Its only MIUI 11 which is bad. MIUI 10 probably has best battery life of any roms (including lineageos). For battery life, features and stability you should downgrade to miui 10. However, lineageos 16 is faster and battery life isn't too far off.

IMHO
Best rom: PE10, havoc.
Kernel for performance: NGK, optimus drunk
Battery life? Tune the kernel, NGK has built app to tune
