Unable to encrypt

Hi
I had to clean flash my ROM since i messed up with some apps, so I decided to wipe internal as well and format it and then go for a clean flash
I wiped everything and flash AICP13.1 - O ( use this ROM as daily driver ) and flashed Magisk and Gapps and then rebooted as usual
I thought of encrypting the device ( since it would decrypt if its format obviously ) but encryption is not happening
The moment I hit encrypt, An android BOT logo appears and device reboots normally.
Next I tried to clean flash the ROM only ( No gapps and Magisk this time ) and tried to encrypt , but same problem
I also tried with different ROM - checked with CrDroid-O , same here too
Am I missing something here?
Please help
Thanks in Advance
PS: I am using latest global stable firmware 9.6.2XX
Changed recovery to orange fox, formated via orange fox and it helped.
encryption success

TWRP Encryption

Hi!
I installed Pixel Expierence ROM and few days TWRP is working without any problem and Encryption.
Now TWRP is Crypted and ask for me password...
Why?
When I restart phone ask me password again in some strange screen....
Try flashing forceEncryptionDisable zip. or try flashing the latest firmware once again.
I have reinstalled the pixel rom, flashing a Encryption Disable but no result ...
Same here.
After clean install and factory reset bug in TWRP is gone...

i have the same issue, tried different recovery projects, OFRP and TWRP. both seem to have the same issue, with the message "encryption unsuccessful" and if i tried to press the "RESET DEVICE" button i get stuck in a boot loop.
i also factory reset my device, formatted everything via the recovery project menu then booted into recovery and installed the CUSTOM ROMS.
tried also to DFE but nothing seem to change even with encryption disabled.
but i scarcely manged to bypass this issue by; after wiping everything boot into recovery and install whatever rom you want and install gapps after it, better still install firmware vendor if the rom of your choice doesnt include them.
never mind, i fixed it.
in my case i was trying to flash LineageMicroG 16 on my Device and i kept getting that error and i did the following to fix it;
wiped everything and wrote "yes" to format the date and swiped for a factory reset through recovery wipe option then i booted into recovery and flashed LineagemicroG 16 after that i flashed optimus drunk kernel and booted into system and everything seemed to work fine, the kernel is what fixed the problem.

My phone got stuck after flashing ROM - requesting a PIN

hello everyone
i had a lineage ROM on my phone and i wanted to format my phone so i tried to flash my ROM again with TWRP and when it finished the phone reboot him self and ask for me a PIN - and i know my PIN but when i try it this writes me that this is not right .
what can i do ?
BTW- tried to flash the ROM again and i have nothing in my memory/SDcard (seems like everything removed)
pls help
TY so much !
its encryption error,
got back to twrp,
FORMAT DATA, (you will loose all your data/internal storage)
flash rom again and everything again!
if you wana avoid encryption errors, do flash DFE
you forgot to flash DFE(DISABLE FORCE ENCRYPTION) . do flash it after you've flashing your rom.

Not able to get lineage os working

Hello, I now have 8 days note 10 lite today I unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP via adb after that I installed lineage os and wiping data etc. After that I faced a bootloop and lineageos bootscreen doesnt go away after 15 minutes.
So I tried to reflash the rom again, but twrp isnt able to reinstall the rom. I then used miflash to get original rom again.
Started all over installed twrp, flashed lineage os after this install after reboot I get everytime back into TWRP and looked on my pc and all files suddenly are encrypted on my phone and cant get lineage os rom again on my phone..
So I used miflash again and decided to ask here first. Does anybody know if I maybe use a wrong TWRP or missed a step?
I really dont understand it, I tried it for a 3th time. Here is exactly what I did.
- installed TWRP through ADB (TWRP-3.4.0-0_Android11_Roms_AndroidHQ254)
- In TWRP put rom on my internal storage
- Wipe Dalvik, data and cache
- Install rom (TWRP-3.4.0-0_Android11_Roms_AndroidHQ254)
- data wipe (where I had to type yes to confirm)
- Reboot to system and then it doesnt do anything and goes back into TWRP where I cant do anything, and I have to flash original rom back through MiFlash.
I run now MIUI 12.0.2
Android 10
Try using orangefox recovery. And i think you have to wipe data before installing rom, not after it.
