Wrong thread.
Anyway you need GApps for android 7.1.X. Download correspondent one.
I tried just about everything mentioned above... I finally tried to simply delete the Google TTS app (approx 20mb) and reattempt.
The gapps flashed 100%, no error. The size of the file was a bit smaller, so I'm guessing the 20mb was a real squeeker.
Super annoying as I just wanted to try and get Google Play (store) on the Raspberry Pi 4. I tried a few other OS's, this is the closest I've come, and the only that has worked as I want to emulate Android and Install .APK files.. All other OS's failed.
The Raspberry Pi 4 is neat so if anyone was thinking the same here you go, I have yet to install exactly what I want.. but I can say that after deleting the "googletts-arm.tar.lz" from the open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20210604 .zip manually. I remember doing this on phones once and it worked.. so I figured give it a shot. I flashed the gapps, factory reset, and when I did my reboot I was met with the Google "Welcome" screen and knew everything was installed... and tested yes it works!
Credit to the guy who did this article, but just follow the above instructions or picture as illustrated. I have a 64GB card running Lineage-16.0 but it says it's only about 3-4GB and only 2GB Free, which is weird but I don't know this OS very well.
I recently purchased the Raspberry Pi 4 8GB in hopes it could be a source to stream and watch my security cams, browse the web, literally simple stuff I do on a laptop that gets hot and eats up power. This little device is still new and innovative and having kinks worked out, yes it can run Windows 10 but that version of Windows 10 is not a true 64-Bit and does not allow me to load the programs I normally do such as Bluestacks for emulating Android which is super easy and covers most of the nonsense apps I run in the background... as well as a few others that no longer run on Windows 7, or only run on Windows 10.. Hopefully Raspberry pi4 gets fixed up but until it has 100% fixed Windows 10 I think Lineage + Google Play will have to suite!
It's actually working very well, a little slower than I expected but considering that this device is so tiny I am impressed as it's a lot cooler and saving power vs my old clunky laptop that sits and provides the same applications around the same speed.

I can confirm this worked and has been successful for the most part, maybe not the fastest OS for the Raspberry PI 4 (specifically on a 22" display vs a touch screen/tablet) as this OS would be a lot nicer on a touch screen, not very friendly for the keyboard/mouse.. but still works well.
Slimming down that 120mg gapps.zip did the trick, just delete the Google Text to Speech app (20mb) manually by opening the .zip with WinRar and under /GApps you'll see only 4 files, the "googletts-arm.tar.lz" was the one I right clicked, selected Delete.. it slimmed the .zip file saving 20mb, and that was really the turning point... I guess the OS was running slim come available HD space. Which is odd because after installing Google Play Store, I have downloaded numerous applications & games, I've even tested Clash of Clans.. which is not very fun with a mouse/keyboard and is a tad slow.. but it WORKS!
I just wanted a machine I could donate from one of my accounts as well as watch my IP Cams around the house via Wyze's Google Play Store App. I've had some issues with my older IP Cameras but mostly can always view them in VLC player and I tested and it indeed worked.
Hope this helps, spent an hour banging my head trying to remember how I used to make the gapps.zip's flash on my older cell phones w/ Cynanogenmod.... And to give credit this was the tutorial I used... Maybe there is something newer out there I am not sure... I will be looking into Cyanogenmod later for hopefully better performance.

it is worth to try, bause i am working with a lot of IPcam stuff for hospitals on child stations. Will report back here.
I was looking for something like this a while back, will give it a try as it should save taking a web-cam away on business.
Will try out and let you know. First thing, would prefer cab install option if possible I know there are client drivers needed for windows side too I guess).
Noticed that the video overlay for the camera does not go when the program is closed. So far I've not been able to connect, but this is probably due to my network config at the moment (so will retry later).
I remember using this looong ago when I had my HTC Mogul... those were the days

I think you connect via the webcam driver settings. i.e. VLC
Media -> Open Capture Device
Select Video device name - it should be in the list
Configure - Will open if the device is present and you should be able to press connect. You might see it pop up a message on your device when you do (too quick to read - i guess connecting etc).
Hopefully you'll get the images coming through (I get coloured striped display but that is probably due to the network I'm currently on has proxies etc).
I tried to use it on my HTC HD2 running Artemis 58 with radio 2.15......
I cannot seem to connect it to my computer via WiFi. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi,
Have tried this on my HTC-HD2 and it say register to use free period is over.
Any other solution?
Cheers!
Is this the same as this?

I've had success using it previously on my Blackjack II (WinMo 6.0). And I've tried to run it on my hTc Pure (WinMo 6.5), but it keeps freezing up.
so it is now pay ware so far we can see. For this there is a special forum thread. Possible the admin can move it to there...
But there is the other solution from rc colonel - RC Camera (Link). I working with that a very long time.

I use it a very long time now for parents who's childs are in a hospital. We have installed some axis ptz cams (4x) in a hospital near my home city (~ 20 KM). We advise this to the parents for the mobile device or via a website on the PC. I have informed rccolonel some time ago to have a special version, but i think he is no longer online or busy with android. So i hope he will read this .
BTW:
in my free time i am working in a special community for this kind of stuff (paper, color pens, toys, hospital clowns, and...and...and...).
BTW 2:
follow this link and you can download the latest beta from rc camera

rc-camera differs to this app since it's for using an ip-camera and the phone as a monitor, where this one attempts to use the phone's camera as the web-cam. I like the idea, but so far it doesn't work the way I've tried it (clearly it's not trivial thing to code).
BTW:
Well (to be slightly off topic here) I'll let you know if I get on with an Android app I have planned which will be suitable for children reading, might end up being of use. Can't get a better cause than that to be involved with!
cant seem to get it working
i installed the cab and that automatically installed it on my phone (omnia i900) when i open the app on my phone it displays the camera, but when i tap the "start" button it kinda freezes, the little rotating icon ippear and its like "thinking" but it never really conects, right now am using "mobiola web camera" and it does work but i dont like the output quality of it, the resolution and quality es too low, so i tought id try this put, but nope, nothing.
could i be doing something worong?... oh by the way, am using this on windows 7 x64.
Edit: aparently i got it working.

Anyone know what it is about CyanogenMod (and thus kangs) that makes flash so wonky? I use FLASH VIDEO BROWSER to watch things like Hulu.... Works amazingly well (sorta).
It does not work on CM. It does on other ROM's (not kangs though). I emailed the developer and he commented that every CM user (not sure if CM7 has the problem) has issues and that it just does not seem to handle flash well.
Clearly there is an issue there with how Flash is handled. Anyone smart enough to try and help find what the problem is, or can offer suggestions on how to help fix it?
Before approaching CyanogenMod and sounding like a whiner, it would be nice to give some helpful feedback.
Aside from that.... also upsetting that ROMs built from source can not view Market movies, but other ROMs can. Any time my wife want to hook our Tab up to the TV I have to switch from AOKP to Task... It is not too hard to go back and forth, but I can't see the logic by Google here.
yep i kinda felt the same
See, I don't really want to get into details but, Adobe had mentioned that "Flash is dying" it's on the news, Most of the developers have given up on flash content, CM too as far as I've heard, because Java Script's can handle flash content properly, Like the Youtube app doesn't require you to have Flash to work. ICS production has also barred the use of Flash "Consumes too much battery" as the statement went, But regardless I would say to wait a few weeks or such, Hulu might shift to HTML5 which would rectify this issue, that and every other commonly visited site is about to swap content over to HTML5 as it can render/use/display flash content.
S.Jobs apparently saw this coming which is also why none of the iDevices till this day support flash. That and flash just degrades the performance of the PC, Want a good example? Look at Mozilla in task manager when viewing a Youtube video, 300k~500k memory usage. Grand.
Edit: Added Chrome too

Sum all of this together along with the 101 useless junk ads that appear and I won't be surprised as to why CM7 (Which is built from scratch) has a hard time with this.
Yeah, understand that HTML5 is ultimately the direction, but right now there are far too many sites that need flash, and the only custom roms that seem to have a glitch are CM9 and the kangs it spawns.
I cant imagine going a long period where someone on CM cannot utilize flash/sites where someone on a stock rom can... just seems like if you are on the best rom, you should have the best experience.
def not articulating this well.

Ah it's all good, afaik probably CM has already seen the downside to this when building it from scratch which is why they tried their best to make this app reliant? I don't know how to explain it in simpler terms but, Instead of browser depending on the system to run flash content via Flash Player, it's more like the Youtube app? Where the app itself is able to handle the processing without much dependency on other apps.
On another note, Flash content is copyrighted including their drivers and CM is an open source that doesn't want to have anything to do with copyrighted stuff (Would explain why they don't even include the gapps into the pre installation) I guess they tried to make sure the system was able to handle what was required of the user without depending on copyrighted apps, probably to avoid lawsuits, IDK, it's probably their own personal reasons too.
^ the cease and desist order from google to cyanogen = why we have gapps now. A clever work around to their threat. Not sure why all of the kangs also use gapps, I guess since they are using cm they feel they need to.
O well, guess there is no good answer... shame that CyanogenMod currently has an issue with Flash. Makes it impossible for me to watch hulu.
Flash isn't hardware accelerated in the cm9/AOSP builds and the video driver in general has many issues. I think we'll have to wait for an official release or at least a leaked ICS ROM for the 10.1 to get proper video drivers.

Because android in general is highly dependent on Google for almost everything, like a little baby craving for mommy's bossom as much as they want to rid the use of Gapps ,the whole purpose of android was bound around google related apps they are allowed to make use of it however as Gapps are open sourced like android itself, If flash was bought over by Google rather than Adobe, then probably CM scene wouldn't have a hard time with it I guess. I tend to forget at times that Flash and GApps are under different major companies
For those of you that do not know what this app is, it's a free virtual Windows PC with a full suite of Microsoft Office. If you pay $5/month you can also get Internet Explorer with Flash and speedtests have shown me almost 100 mbps downstream and around 50 mbps upstream if you want to use it to watch streaming videos or do large file transfers.
I've been using this app for a few weeks on my iPad for Flash videos (because it wasn't available for Android) but now it is in the Market but says it's not compatible with my NC. I use their OnLive Games on my NC supposedly it's the same technology so in theory it should work just fine on the NC.
Can somebody kindly post the apk for those of us that want to take it for a spin our our NCs?
Thanks in advance.
I don't have the apk, but what is your experience with the OnLive Games app? I tried it and it was terrible. The game play stuttered the whole time. It is fine on my computer. I'm using CM 7.2 and have a wireless g router. Maybe its the router?
I've only played LEGO: Batman for about 30 minutes (the free window) a few times using the on-screen controls and it played fine for me. I was waiting to get their universal wireless controller before I got really into it and started to purchase games on it.
I'm running the last stable CM 7.1.0 release with the stock kernel. It's not a particularly "intense" game so I don't know how it would perform with something like Call of Duty or the like.
Is there any benefit to using OnLive Desktop instead of Remote Desktop back to your own machine? I'm basically running LTE on a 10.1 Tab and have full speed FiOS at home.
The benefit is subjective to each user. I find it useful for the crazy fast internet browsing and video streaming on their client. I also found value in it so that I could use Flash on my iPad using this. I also have a work pc that I remote into but it's for limited use (like doing work) so I like having a Windows Virtual Machine that isn't related to work and I also don't have to leave my home pc turned on all the time either.
Also, it supports file access to Dropbox (via their website) too.

Link to the apk is here. Installing shortly =)
I've noticed that the touch screen coordinates are a bit off (like the height of the soft buttons bar) if you hide the soft button/notification bar but works fine when you leave it up. Other than that, I've noticed the Flash videos played in this app do not look as good on my NC as it does on my iPad using this app. I suspect it's because of the video acceleration that is lacking in the ROM I am running at the moment.
Other than that, if you're just trying to have access to a Windows Virtual PC with MS Office and Internet Explorer then this is just fine on the NC.
it installed and started up fine for me...i need to try it out thoroughly when i have a decent internet connection

That's strange. Are you running the last stable official CM 7.1.0 or a Kang version? Also, did you modify your build.prop file, change screen desity or using a custom kernel?
I'm running the official CM 7.1.0 off of the CyanogenMod.com website without any tweaks or custom kernels and it installed without any issue for me.

Set density around 100 – 160 and Onlive Desktop will probably work... - Tryed on Galaxy Note and density 160... (lowest possible...) and it worked
Only bad thing it wont probably be full screen, so fell free to try different resolutions, and maybe you set full screen

Hi guys, I'm glad to announce a Windows Phone port of PrBoom, called D00M (Di-zero-zero-Em)
This port supports all mods (original and custom wad files), supported by desktop PrBoom, i.e. original Doom demo, Doom.wad & Doom2.wad, Plutonia, TNT etc.
But store version came with FreeDoom.wad only (because of copyright limitation). Trial version has only one limitation: you can't add new wads to the game and should stay with FreeDoom.wad.
Here are working TNT & Plutiona mods (working with this PrBoom engine version):View attachment wads.zip
W10M store: https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9nblggh4rql0
WP81 store: http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=a3ec4994-9f7c-438a-a12f-abb3c3542e87
Enjoy!
Work's fine.
Thanks
If i install Doom and Doom2, the saved games are stored in different files or the same?
On PC
if i launch Doom with "prboom-plus"
Play game and save game, saved games are stored in "prboom-plus-savegame0.dsg" and if i launch Doom2, go to "load saved games" Doom saved games appears in the list.
The only way i found is create a batch file who rename file before launch.
Hmm, very good question... I'll take a look and will apply a fix (if needed). Thanks a lot for testing and asking that kind of questions!
[UPDATE] It looks like game published in store has some problems with saving games; I'll try to fix it ASAP.
OK, I've fixed the bug (it was my fault, instead of "LocalState" save/load path was pointed to the app's install directory). Also, now games will be saved or loaded for the selected wad only so you may enjoy multi-wad game stage saving
P.S. Small tip from my experience: right after starting, game is kinda busy by loading and starting demo playback; from the user experience it may looks like "load" game is not working or failed. It's not true; give game engine a little rest (demo should start playing) and try to load saved game...
So, new version 1.2.0 is on the way to the store. BTW, now you may check an actual game version on the game's "help" page.
Thank you, Can you add Import and Export Saved Games on One Drive?

Can you add Import and Export Saved Games on One Drive?

Hmm, another good question What about synchronization via "RoamingFolder"? It's a built-in feature of WP8.1 and up. But in that case you must have the same LiveId on both handsets.
All my phones have the same LiveID
Hmm, unfortunately, MS limited roaming folder quota to 100K only; average doom save game file size is more than 100K Sorry, you should wait for another solution (maybe with OneDrive).
I just submitted update 1.4.0 to the store.
Changes:
game controls redesigned: right on-screen "joystick" replaced with tree buttons, one for run forward, and two for strafes. From the practice, instant action buttons are much more useful than triggering 'cause you don't need to synchronize both finger at the same time
added external (USB or BT) keyboard support
cheat codes now working
added ability to backup & restore saved games
joystick sensitivity control added
various bugs fixed
@titi66200, especially for your feature request, I've added ability to import/export saves. Unfortunately, standard folder picker dialog don't have an "OneDrive" location, just a device & sd-card (however, the file picker has this option; I can't completely understand m$ devs logic at all!) so you'll need an extra-step to synchronize saves between handsets. Maybe later I'll add zipping/unzipping all saves to one archive but for now it's OK.
Thank you sensboston. :good:
You're welcome! By the way, I have a question to you: could you please test updated controls on ultra violence complexity and tell me what do you think? Please check controls settings page, you may want to play with "sensitivity" setting...
I can't test now because crash of my 950 XL on update to last RS.
Reflashing my phone but now i must paid again D00M.
I am waiting if MS can solve my issue.
OK. If you want, I can send you a code. However latest game update still on certification, not published yet Hope, it will be published tomorrow.
Hi, I bought D00M and looking forward to play Plutonia.wad, but this wad and others can't load, because if I want start it (wad) D00M will shutdown. Only doom.wad (but shareware) is working. Please, help.
@Smog1995, I've added working freeware mods archive link to the first post. You may find a lil-bit more on the FP of Russian support forum (use Google translate)
On Lumia 1020 and Lumia 950 XL in 'Save Game' when I tap a name for the backup it shows twice the letter.
Ex:
Titi01
TTiittii0011
But not on the Lumia 830.
With the previous version this worked on my 3 Lumia.
Hmm, it's weird I tested on L-950 (official bits), L-635 (WP8.1) and emulator, everything is working fine (I've added external keyboard support and has "double chars" before releasing (SDL keyboard codes was submitted twice) but already implemented fix for 1.4.0 release (submitted to the store). Right now I've re-tested downloaded version on L-950 & L-635, looks good to me.
@titi66200, could you please try to re-install the game (just in case)? Unfortunately, I don't have 1020 or 950XL right now for tests (btw, what kind of OS bits are installed?)
Reinstalled and same thing.
Lumia 1020 OS Win10.0.14385.0
Lumia 950 XL OS Win10.0.14385.0
Lumia 830 OS Win10.0.10586.456

Yeah, kinda... Usually, I don't support "dev preview" (aka "tricky free m$ QA replacement") bits but will try to find a solution just for you. I don't promise anything; first I need to find a handset good for the Redstone build (I've sold good old ones L-920/925 on ebay and now have only cheap WPs in stock, like L-635, L-520 etc. excluding L-950 but I don't want to become a "free ms tester" at all, sorry!)
Today we finally got to take a look at the official Windows 11 event, after months of leaks and rumors. During the live event, we got to see many different new Windows 11 features. If you didn't get to watch the event live, you can watch the entire thing here. Many different changes are coming related to gaming, productivity, communication, and more. I took three of the best new announcements and summarized them below.
New Start MenuWindows has a redesigned start Menu, which brings everything to the center of the bottom of your display. things look different once you open the start menu, with a grid of app icons below the search bar, and recommended files on the lower half. This is looking a lot more like an app drawer that you'd find on a phone or tablet. This new design has much more of a tablet feel to it, which will translate nicely to people with Microsoft Surface tablets.

You'll notice the new glassy look is applied throughout the system. It's not a radical change from Windows 10, but it does offer a cleaner and simpler look to the start menu.
Snap LayoutsBack when Windows 7 launched, Microsoft integrated Windows Snap. This is the feature that lets you drag a window to the edge of your display, and have it snap in place. It has been a favorite feature ever since, and it's now going to be a lot better. Windows 11 is expanding on this feature in several ways. With Snap Layouts, you will be able to see several options on how you want your window to snap. The screenshot below shows how you can divide your screen in six different ways.
One of the biggest problems with snap, on Windows 10 and earlier- is if you get distracted and have to pull up a new screen, and start a new task, your snap setup kind of gets ruined. Now this will not be the case. You can pull up a new window, send an email, then resume whatever layout you were working with.
This ability to remember the layout of your windows also applies to external monitors. If you are using a monitor to hold a specific snap layout, you can unplug that monitor and Windows will still remember the layout when you plug it back in.
Android AppsOne of the most exciting bits of news from the live stream is, Windows 11 will be able to run Android apps. This means that you can now watch TikTok, use Snapchat, or play your favorite mobile games right on your Windows PC. This could end up getting rid of the need for emulators from this point on. This is a huge step in bridging the gap between Android and Windows developers. It also means that you can have fewer devices. If you have a Windows tablet, you might find that you're able to skip on having an Android Tablet or iPad.
Users will be able to download Android apps right from the Microsoft Store, using their Microsoft account. Instead of accessing the Google Play store, Microsoft is integrating the Amazon appstore into the Microsoft Store. I'm sure people will find ways to sideload apks into this system, but we will have to wait and see.
It's really nice. I'll just say this: if Microsoft brought back Windows Phone with Windows 11 design, it would be the nicest mobile operating system by far.

Very nice the android emulator in windows would look amazing
Their one problem for the android emulator that would be like pre-installed on windows can u enable root for that android emulator it would definitely look a lot better if u can run rooted apps on that android emulator but it's still amazing even without root it will just look better with root because I can use apps like ad away uninstall pre-installed apps and turn apps into pre-installed apps

Very true but I don't think windows phone will ever come back because android and iOS both killed of windows phone for reason reason for that is because ever since android and iOS came out windows phone just decreased a lot and became a lot less popular over years which is probably why they killed it off back in 2017
Meh... how much ram does it use?
A fully loaded XPx64 (less antivirus) used a mere 576mb.
MS has been a solid fail since W7
Cant wait to try it!!
I would have been happier if MS announced that they brought back W7.
"We heard you, you all love W7, so we added support for modern hardware and software, then we left it the hell alone. No more deciding should I use Settings or Control Panel? Why is the MS Word ribbon in explorer? How much garbage can they squeeze in the start menu? We heard you and we call it 7.11 it's got everything you need. Minus the stupid windows snaps blazing across your monitors, seriously who needs that?"

We'll find out all of that when Microsoft releases a preview with Android app support. It's just guessing now.
I think the bigger question is if Android apps will actually be valuable. I don't know that anyone was finding Windows lacking in any meaningful way.

Well, we've seen this before on Chrome OS of course. I think most people would say even though they can run Android apps on Chrome, they seldom do since most people always have their phone on them, plus usually the chrome/web equivalents to apps are better, plus you have a mouse and kb. I like the optionality though!!

We know that the android apps on windows 11 will be running on Amazon app store so their probably only gonna be apps and games that's on Amazon app store could still give us purpose to use a android emulator on windows 11 if this is true since some games may not be on Amazon app store on windows 11

Fair point. Personally, I'm looking forward to having a decent tablet-optimized Kindle app, and now that I'm thinking about it, Comixology.
I do think that Chrome OS is a different beast though. There's no existing app ecosystem on Chrome OS. For example, there are standalone apps that I want, like Slack, Photoshop, Skype, OneNote, etc. I can do most of this through web apps, but I don't necessarily want to. But Windows has these apps for me.
