The smartphone has become a special part of our life. We keep all our necessary data in the smartphone. All the necessary documents including our photos, videos and contacts are present in it. In such a case, accidentally removing any photo from the smartphone, your important photo gets deleted. In such a situation, getting photos and videos in the phone becomes very difficult.
Computer will not need to recover
Generally, people get deleted files from their Android phones with the help of computers. But there are many people who do not even have a computer. In such a way, how will they recover their required data?
So we are going to tell you a way in this post, so that users will not even need a computer to recover data. Along with this, there are some online apps that claim to recover lost photos and videos.
Deleted contract will also be able to recover
Here we are giving you information about the app called Dr.Fone, which will help you recover your photos, not just videos but also your delete contacts. You can get most deleted files again with the help of this app, but it is necessary that your phone is rooted. Once your phone is rooted, you can easily download this app from the Google Play Store. But let us tell you that you may have to pay some money to recover deleted messages and contacts with the help of this app.
How to recover deleted photo and video from Android phone?
1. First of all, download the Dr.Fone app from the Play Store.
2. After download, install it in your rooted phone.
3. Now open the app and tap on photos and videos.
4. Select the type of file to scan and select the file format you want to retrieve.
5. Now allow the phone to root and scanning will start.
6. The scanning process will take some time to complete.
7. Now select the photos or videos that you want to retrieve or to recover all deleted files, you can also select the Select All option.
Second way:
Android Data Recovery is also an app that can recover your data.
1. First of all download and install Android Data Recovery in your PC or Laptop.
2. Then connect your phone to a PC or laptop.
3. Now you will be asked full access to your phone. For this you have to do with developers.
Going on should have debugging on.
4. Now there are some messages that you will have to OK.
5. Now you will have another window that will ask you which files you want to recover. Select them.
6. Tell you that this process can take more than an hour. Android Data Recovery does not claim that all data on your phone may recover but deleted files can be recovered.

So, I don't know how many users out there have their contacts backed up on T-Mobile MobileLife like me, but for those who do, you might have noticed what a pain in the a$$ it is to get them to show up in the Sense contacts/people app. Luckily, after several days of trial, error, and process.android.acore fc's, I finally figured out a method that works.
Note: This method assumes you have HTC Sync/drivers correctly install on your PC.
1. Nandroid backup, then factory reset phone (wipe data, cache, etc.)
2. Optional - Install any ROM of your choice, the lone exception being SenseLess as it will not allow you to skip signing in to your Google account without numerous errors. Or just keep the ROM you already have.
3. Reboot phone, go all the way through set-up but DO NOT under any circumstances add an account of any sort Google, Facebook, etc.).
4. Flash kernel and reboot if necessary
5. Download attached T-Mobile Contacts backup apk to your pc, remember file location.
6. Wait for phone to reboot, then connect to PC via USB cable.
7. Connect as HTC Sync
8. After phone connects and HTC Sync program pops up on your PC, choose the "application installer" option

}
9. Exit out of that, disconnect phone from PC and make sure Wi-Fi is turned off on phone (app won't sync over wi-fi)
10. Go into apps grid, you will find it as "T-Mobile Contacts". Start it up, pick an option and it will start syncing. If all goes well, when you load up the stock contacts (or "people" app, as htc calls it), you will see all of your backed up t-mobile contacts listed under the "phone" account.
11. That's it! From there you should be able to go ahead and load up all the rest of your accounts (Google, facebook, etc) and they will sync their info into the contacts app by themselves.
NOTE: If you have issues using HTC Sync or the application installer that comes with it doesn't work, you can try the ADB option. This method assumes you have Android SDK kit correctly installed on your computer and set up to work with you device.
1. Complete Steps 1-7 above.
2. Run CMD (command prompt)
3.Type "adb kill-server", enter, then type "adb-start server", enter (without quotes, of course)
4. Type "adb install 'file location'\com.voxmobili.sync.MobileBackup2-1.apk" without quotes, file location is folder path where you downloaded attached file.
5. Continue from Step 9 above.
Let me know if you have any problems.

Right, and that would make sense if Google had backed up all of my contacts. But for some reason, that never happens. I lose phone numbers on a regular basis with Google. But as long as I have T-Mobile backing up my data, the phone numbers don't go away.
Hello
I downloaded some movies to my phone and then transferred them to my external HD. Now the memory in my phonr is showing like there is some data which is the same amount of data as the movies are even though I transferred them and they are not on the phone. I used an called DiskUsage and its showing 200gb in system data. I cannot access or delete this. I don't want to factory reset my phone, so please can someone help me on how to clear this data?

The term System data is absolutely errleading: Downloads never go to Android's /system partition but always to Android's /data partition.
So you just need to look for files in /data that take up the huge amount of space - if any.
The real way to check Android's storage is to go to Settings -> Storage
Example:
Thank you for your answer but I have found the solution to this problem. You see there is something called File Guardian which is a part of Galaxy Labs on Samsung phones. Now the thing is I know exactly where all my files are stored on my phone since I like to keep it tidy ? but since I moved all the downloaded movies to external HD these files were nowhere to be found. Going into storage analyser was showing 283gb in "other storage". This app File Guardian serves as a possibility to restore moved/deleted files but even when I went to search for apps which might be taking much space as I thought there could be some temp/cache data left over from the transfer I could find nothing. Then I remembered to check this File Guardian and there was 512 files there. As I said you cannot find these anywhere except in this app. I deleted it from there permanently and voila the memory is OK now. What's really strange is that I looked all over internet and couldn't find solution to this problem, I was already getting afraid I would have to factory reset my phone. It might be really useful for some people to know about this though.
HI all, does anyone know of an app that works in the same way as the built in google backup works, except it saves to a local pc over wifi on a schedule?
The 15Gb cloud space is nowhere near enough for me but I have a server with plenty of space, so makes sense to use that.
I have seen a few apps that backup media, but I really want everything backed up (sms, app data, wifi passwords etc)
Is this even possible with a 3rd party app? My phone is a Honor View, The official huawei app (hicare) does most of them but needs the device to be plugged in via USB and I don't think it will let me restore to a non huaewi phone in the future.
Edit: forgot to mention, locked bootloader so not rootable

Yeah I'm afraid the backup solution you were searching for is one who needs root. But I can suggest something else. You can transfer the data you have on your drive (files other than backups) on your server, it will leave room for backups.
Otherwise you may wanna consider rooting, if it is possible with this Huawei model (that's why I hate Huawei, but don't get me started on that lol)
Have a good day
@flamery
1. No root mode is required to create a backup
2. Hint: Backup to an external SD-card. Use Super Backup app. It's a free-of-charge app.

BTW: To root device's Android its bootloader must not be unlocked. Has nothing to do with each other.
Thanks both I will check it out!
Although I just discovered something interesting, if you change the setting in Google photos from original quality to high quality they don't count toward the 15Gb quota so I just freed up a lot of space.
i download a lot of files. and some i don't look at for weeks at a time after downloading.
lately Ive been finding directory's empty and files missing. some are documents, others are back ups of APK files, no pictures have gone missing however.
i can find no option in settings for auto cleanup, all that is turned off in my user apps under permissions.
i have never had this issue before but this is my first android over v9
Stupid question do you have google files installed as that could be the culprit

its set to not remove permissions and clean up space, i hardly ever use it so ill disable it and keep checking, and ill remove its permissions first.
Not sure then sorry not much help
I remembered about this and then re read your post so not sure to be honest I tho6was this then realized your photos not getting deleted
well that just proves there is an automagicly service that deletes things on the pixel.
the question is could it be malfunctioning and deleting things it should not and without notifying the user?
you would think they would use a recycle bin so the user could verify if the files should be deleted.

none of that exists on my device. and i cant find a setting for "safe storage"
i hope it is not on by defaut and only can be turned off with a vague command
its something to look into.
files are definitely being deleted without me being involved.
8 files between only 24 hours to 5 days old. the folders are there but empty.
i have no cleaning software installed, nothing that should ever delete anything automatically. this is very annoying.
luckily i set up a nightly backup.
after switching to a custom rom and installing every app i had before i have had NOT ONE file be deleted on my device since.
there is no excuse for files being deleted behind the users back.
Are u sure that this is Files by Google?
Are the pictures backed up to Google Photos?
Never had an issue with Files by Google.
Cheers
Tom
i dont know whati s doing it. but the OEM rom (with updates) deleted over 200+ files off my device in 5 months. and left the directories that held the files empty.
some were images, some were epubs, some were apks files.
i used a sync app to backup the files, i don't use google services.
Running GrapheneOS updated to latest 13 and never had one file missing from my phone. Flashed phone with GrapheneOS at first power up before SIM went in back when I got it.
This will not give you the opportunity to make a full backup, but it will partially allow you to get into the cloud and save your data. I was able to create a backup on the Honor 50 and after that I restored it on the Huawei tablet.

1. Naturally, you must have Huawei HMS Core services
2. Perhaps there should be a frame
3. Install this version of the cloud (you can't update, only it works)
4. After installation, immediately open and give all permissions except geolocation (I gave it to it, but it seems to me that it interferes)
5. To log in to the cloud, you have two options
1: Through the button in the curtain
2: Installation Manager tab in AppGallery
6. Two buttons do not work, "Settings" and "Memory Management", you should not touch them - the cloud flies out of control
7. We saw the cloud, but they don't allow us to make a backup, the program writes an error both during recovery and when trying to create a backup, the "System Dispatcher" prevents us from doing this.
8. In developers, we set to allow debugging and debugging only when charging. Install ADB AppControl on the PC, connect the phone through it and remove the ADB "System Dispatcher".
9. After the backup, the dispatcher must be returned, without it we lose battery control, etc.
The data is saved only partially: contacts, messages, photos, videos and some programs. I can't save the settings because the dispatcher is turned off. I'm sorry, I'm writing through a translator, I hope it's clear.
Hey there I'm trying to install the cloud app into my honor 50 but I'm always getting this error. Do you have any idea what is the conflicting app? is a while that I am trying to figure it out but I am unable. T

I had a conflict if I tried to install "Files" from Huawei first. If you did not install this, then try to install from a third-party file manager, I put all of the X-plore.
